Nice place, but you need a car”

A really lovely hotel, clean and well appointed, excellent staff and service. Incredible views from the rooftop area. We went without a car, and we felt stuck there. The most irritating thing was that hotel has only one restaurant and the only option is a quite expensive buffet. It was a very very good buffet, but we would have liked to have other options. If we had a car, we could have driven somewhere else, but we were stuck there. We were a bit surprised that the sauna and pool had additional cost, but the sauna/pool were excellent so in the end the price felt worth it. But the lack of choice for food was quite annoying - breakfast and dinner ended up costing more than the room!

Great Escape from Seoul”

Location is great if you have a car and enjoy road trips as it is quite out of the way from any big cities but small towns are in the vicinity. New hotel so facilities, at least what we've seen/experienced, were top quality and enjoyed using them. This hotel is meant to be an all in one package that includes nice rooms, great view of the ocean/lush mountainous terrain, food services, and some entertainment options. Overall, we enjoyed are stay mostly because of the view and location as a getaway from Seoul.

hotel is very new, 1-2 years old. Rooms are clean and spacious. Ondol rooms also available. On top of hill/cliff overlooking ocean, very small fishing village below. Restaurant buffet is trying too hard on Western food and failed, not worth 48,000 won for dinner, the local items, Korean menu items are not bad. The spa/sauna is worth the guest price of 8,000 won, but the swimming pool with baby slide is not worth any of the 25,000 won charged. Enjoy the spa forget the pool. I wasted my money and now you won't have to.

The hotel is new and is away from the hustle and bustle of Gangneung. It has a wonderful beach nearby where we had a private time. A huge disappointment is not much good restaurants nearby and the buffet at the restaurant is super expensive. I took a junior suite for my family and it was pretty good. Wish there are much choices available for restaurants. Swimming pool has been a huge disappointment as well. The pool is not ready yet and the money I paid for the junior suite is not worth.

Reasons for above ratings”

35 km from Gangnung, taxis were relucant to go out that far. No milk offered with tea or coffee even in the Bistro. But you could get some at breakfast as it was put out beside the cereals. Many people asked for it to be available. Certanially no ice cream, not up to the standards of a five star hotel. The ice cream didn't bother us but other guests complained. Communication a problem. There should be electronic interpretors in restrauants and front desk.

The hotel room is large and clean. Except forthe sunrise view, the hotel is very isolated, with no restaurants or facilities outside of the hotel. Even the hotel restaurants are very limited.

Really great staff members and excellent view ”

The people who work there are so nice and helpful. They really made our stay so wonderful. The staff helped us a lot because they were able to answer all of my questions and helped me when I needed it. The waiters at the hotel restaurants were really friendly and made good recommendations. The shuttle drivers were very friendly and helpful as well. Even one of the convenience store clerks helped me and he really didn’t have to. Our room was spacious, clean, and the view was wonderful. The bed was soft and the bathroom was big. If you don’t have a car you’re a bit limited. They have a shuttle that runs to the beach every hour until about 6pm so you can’t really go anywhere after that unless you have your own car. They do have some places to eat in the hotel though. There’s a restaurant on the main floor, the top floor, and outdoor lounge area. The food is good and is about $20+ per dish. There’s a convenience store in the basement that can offer quick cheap stuff to eat. It mainly has foods but not things like headache medicine or allergy medicine.

I satisfied very much. First of all it was very clean. Then other things were also good like fun 3D arcade, singing room something like that. Only uncomfortable thing is it’s too far from main restaurant and cities. But I satisfied about almost thing.

A hotel with great view.”

Ever hope to have a good sun-rise experience at your own room? This hotel would be the choice. A brand new hotel which seems to have some municipal dispute with the people around the hotel, but that wouldn't be any problem for the guests I should say. I did not use the facility that much, but the room itself was spacious and clean enough. Definitely recommendable.
