Very friendly owner”

The stay was great because the owner was so friendly and warm. The facilities were simple and adequate for the price we paid. Breakfast was also simple and nice. It is very near to the beach and there's lots of food selection nearby.

Excellent Location”

Can't stress enough on the location. Very close to the beach, and Teluk Nipah has one of the best locations. Staff is super helpful when we asked for recommendations for places to eat, and the owner is very friendly. Bed was big and comfy, shower is hot. My daughter especially enjoyed her stay there. Would totally come back!

Godt”

Whole room made by board, even the floor, make sure you wear shoes, coz got nail. By the way, I stay at first floor, not sure ground floor is the same. That room also poor sound insulation, if you have noisy neighbors, then you wouldn’t get sleep whole night, you can clearly listen what they chit chatting! Whole room only 1 plug, very inconvenient.

It’s RM16 for the taxi here from the second stop on the ferry. It’s got everything you want, friendly owner and staff. Breakfast is good, rice and toast. Bed is extra comfortable,air con whisper quiet. No windows or balcony ,but no needed as beach is really nice. Scooter was rm40 inc petrol .not much to see on the island . But a fun day out nether the less. In a nut shell safe comfortable and cool. It’s a great place to sleep.

Second visit to this hotel The owner, Mr Joe is very friendly. Sufficient malaysian breakfast (nasi lemak bungkus, roti canai, toast bread) For confirm booking especially from Agoda, they will switch on the aircond before guest arrived at hotel. The only minus is there is no window inside the room

Fed up with stingy owner , overprice budget hotel”

Bad :😬😬😬 I am the owner of vacation home , and i have very bad experience It is totally really handle by stingy hotel owner . With rm160+++ can get better option in Pangkor Only 2 pillows given but extra pillow charged rm5 perpillow 🤨 No drinking water , is alright but even dont have kettle , hair dryer . It is very very simple hotel . Each room only have 2 single bedrooms but in Agoda description said have 2 single beds “AND” 1 king size beds , supposed AND must change to “or” , dont confused the guest with fancy advertisement 😞😞😞 Swimming pool dirty No pool attendance even dont care what happen around pool , some guests wearing the normal cloth and swim there cause swimming pool become dirty Simple Breakfast which tapow by local shops , nasi lemak bungkus , roti canai , 2 type of kuih , No night attendance I am looking for the workers around 10.30pm , but no one there , very bad as a hotel owner at peak time 😫😫😫 😏😏😏

Good Stay!!”

Room is clean. New aircond and water heater install. The wall is made by wood to create fishman village alike. The bed is cozy. Breakfast is better then what i expected (they cater from local malay caterer). Very big swimming pool (they say the biggest in this island, did'nt try bcoz we looking forward for the beach).And like the other reviews, Mr Joe (the owner) is very friendly. He will try his best to accomodate you. Will return soon for longer stay.

Average stay in Pangkor”

There are some pros and cons about staying at Joe’s. The + : the breakfast is very, very good (even though it doesn’t change from one day to the other), and it’s a buffet. The owner is also incredibly nice, he gives very good advice for activities to do on the island. It’s possible to rent really good motorbikes at the hotel. The - : the room is very dark, it’s only made of wood so it’s not comfortable not to wear any shoes, and we had a very nasty smell coming out of the bathroom. I think the rooms are overpriced compared to the rest of Malaysia.

You can't expect to see any in room services like kettle, coffee packs, mini bar, etc., they have good lobby so can have all type of hot and cold beverage, can even drink beer and watched World Cup FIFA 2018.... Enjoyed the stay with my family and friends.

Good service and friendly owner”

Mr. Ragu (owner) very nice and friendly guy. Staffs were friendly. Hotel provided water dispenser only at lobby and no kettle and mug in the room. The breakfast simple roti canai & nasi lemak but nice. Cozy hotel with big and clean pool. . Nothing much to complaint since we are happy with this hotel. Will coming back here.

Lovely Stay in Nipah”

Great Location: Close to one of the best beaches on the island. Excellent Service: Joe takes care of his guests and makes sure the stay is nice for them. As for the place itself-- a great stay. Breakfast is excellent- try it! Bed is comfortable, air con and hot water worked, no problem. The rooftop view is very nice- check it out! He rents scooters - good quality. Highly recommend taking one for a spin, but not for newbies (lots of hills and turns around the island). Seemed like Joes is one of the better places to stay for the area. I'd go back!

Unique design with wood and friendly owner”

I liked the design of this small resort. We were there during a public holiday and the teluk nipah area was crowded. But we could still have some privacy at the resort. The breakfast spread was good local food catered from the village. The owner is friendly and will give good suggestions on what to do where to eat etc.

Long Weekend @ Pangkor”

We went for an extended weekend trip and the inn was nestled in a busy beach bay. The inn-owner and team of inn-crew were helpful and courteous. They attended to the requests and demands made by the guests without much fuss. They were ever friendly. More so, they also provided reliable recommendation on best spots for food, swimming and other related activities on the island. They went out of their way to assist to their best. If there were improvements needed, it will be the room ventilation, the window opens out but do not bring in much fresh air. If the air-cond takes time to chill, this can lead to 'stuffy' conditions.

Short family holiday”

Friendly service and very helpful. Rooms were pleasant and spacious, loved the commitment to recycled wood. Breakfast was simple, local and more than enough. Nice big pool that the kids loved (a couple of broken tiles need replacing and some water level tile scrubbing needed - sorry, I used to work at a pool). A great place to use as a base for beach days water-based activities and exploring. Owner knows all the best places to eat! If asked, he will prepare an Indian evening meal. We're all looking forward to our next visit.

New boutique hotel in pangkor”

Pro : room is nice and big, located at nipah bay and the manager/owner, an indian guy is very nice. The breakfast is simple and good. Con : room was a little pricey and having a water supply problem during our stay.

Simple”

This has been long overdue which I should have written this during my stay in 22-24 June 2016. At the time of booking for my stay, it just coincided due to Ramadhan season where it is the super low season, so the pricing at that time was reasonably enough for me to book. But what impressed me is the location, the building, and the accommodation and facilities provided. I didn't put much expectation, but quite rare that it can meet my most basic expectation for its class. The room is comfy, and the door knob is unique coz it's not typical room key card access or room key style. Walls and floors are installed with natural woods to assist in bringing good temperature for an outdoor and inside room. At night time, I understand it's best to be romantic. It'll be best if there's light in the wardrobe as it's very hard for me to even see what clothing or bag that I'm putting in and wish to take it out. I have not tried the pool though however, it is indeed nice. I just love the ambience. Owner and staff are friendly too, had personalized conversation with Mr Ragu (the owner) and learned from his experiences in his previous work and his hotel biz. (If I get this name right, otherwise please correct me). Overall for me, it was just almost perfect like probably 95%. I'll come back and stay in this place. Meanwhile, please bring or buy mosquito repellent cos at night time there's a lot of mosquitoes. Get the staff to help you spray insecticide and hour before your bedtime.

Joe was a great host”

Joe arranged taxi tour for us and suggested sites to visit. He made sure the room was cool for us when we arrived. Also kept asking if everything was ok throughout our stay. Hotel location was very good too. Thank you

Fantastisk”

We liked the comfy beds, location was very near to the beach and many places to eat. The owner greeted us at arrival and had the aircond turned on for us before arrival. Breakfast selection was adequate. Things we didnt like was the aircond not really working and the inn management need to figure out how to ensure guest do not get locked in front the outside. All the doors uses a latch on the outside and we had some kids from next door who played with the latch and got us locked in. We had to shout before they realised what they did and open it back for us.
