We were happy with our stay here. Clean, nice big room. Friendly staff, ample parking, close to town. Just wish it had an elevator as we had a lot of bags and on 2nd floor.

Christmas eve”
Stayed one night in December and found the hotel check in - out process easy. Staff were friendly (even though working Christmas). Accommodation generally older but the room was comfortable, clean and had suitable facilities. Free parking behind the hotel was good. The hotel was very well located near the main street and with easy access to Lake Wanaka

Quite good ”
Intended to visit Aoraki / MT Cook but no reasonable accomodation was available over there. Stayed here as an alternative option which turned out to be quite good. Like an old hotel, very spacious with two queen beds inside. My room on the ground floor was open to a park which was nice. Tea and coffee were plenty. However the wifi was slow. I have eaten in the in-house restaurant but a good restaurant Poppie was virtually opposite this hotel.

Cleanliness”
The hotel is not clean enough to up to hotel standard. As soon as we put down our languages, we saw dead fly on floor, dusty corner. Sticky bathroom floor. Very disappointed with the old facilities, the picture on the website shows the facilities are not as old as what we had on the night. Heater of the room making a lot of noises at night when sleep. It wasn’t a pleasant stay for us.

It’s an ok accommodation”
The location is a good place to go to Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo. In terms of the outlook and facilities, it’s very basic so don’t expect too much. The staff is nice but when asked about the no. of people checking in, she assumed otherwise because the booking didn’t report what I said. I believe this was more of an Agoda problem than anything else.

It was the last room left in Twizel when we tried to book a room for New Year Eve night. It looks old and dirty. No mini bar, TV and air con. Only 2 beds and a bath. It cost more than $170, which cannot be justified. The reception lady is very friendly though.

Good stopover from Christchurch to Queenstown. Room a bit dated, no remote control for TV, Internet capped at 500mb, otherwise comfortable for 1 nite.
