Good hotel, here's what you have to know”
I booked this hotel because it was a hot day in Sri Lanka and wanted to sip a good drink by a pool. Everything is nice about this hotel besides the fact that it is an alcohol-free hotel. If your idea of travelling is having a good Pina Colada by the pool, be aware. I canno't blame the hotel as now I am looking further in the details of the hotel; I was able to find the information that this is an alcohol-free hotel. Ideally, Agoda should have a badge or put more upfront informations such as alcohol-free, Halal or without pork. This is very appealing for some customers and not for others. We were very well welcomed and the hotel is nice! Be also aware, and that is for about anywhere in downtown Colombo that they are many constructions. If you are looking for very low level of noise, it's better to go further south or further north on the shore.

New Hotel, Class service and great location”
This hotel is new with great Sri Lankan hospitality. Upon arrival the team knew of my wheelchair needs and asked that I view various room and select which I saw fit. Mahesh and Anuksha were great hosts. The rooms are spacious with the best finishing, ample plug points and comfortable beds. Situated on Galle Road, you are a few kilometers from most attractions. I walked to all locations from the hotel. I loved this hotel and the service from the team.

The location is great along with the price for the stay. Malls and restaurants are at walking distance. Located in the Center of the city. Amazing view of the sea and the city from the rooftop. The rooms were clean and was equipped well. The staff was very polite and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

HOTEL WITH STYLE / STAFF COULD BE MORE WELCOMING”
We felt very comfortable at Mandarina Colombo. Great location and stone's throw away from the financial and business district of Colombo. The hotel looks gorgeous, modern fit-outs, spacious rooms. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are detailed. However, The staff could certainly be more friendly and welcoming, we didn't see the usual friendliness that we see as travelers elsewhere, at last, people part is always a great differentiator in business. They neither smile nor greet anyone in the lobby or at the entrance Thanks to the management, we got an upgrade. There is a Mall "Marino Mall" just across the street, you could do great shopping and plenty of eateries ( some of the famous restaurants such as Banana leaf, Great Wall, etc) This is a worthy hotel to stay.

The staff are amazing! The hotel is so clean and big spacious rooms. The room service is outstanding and the food is great and affordable at the same time. The location is perfect! We definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back in July!

Good business hotel”
Stayed here for one night in January 2019 Pros: 1) It is a good business hotel with very clean rooms and bathrooms. 2) The place is quiet at night and sleep quality is good. 3) The bathrooms are spacious. The bath area is separate from rest of the toilet. 4) The staff is very courteous and speak excellent English. 5) The front desk was helpful in making travel arrangements for us. 6) The WiFi connectivity and speed were very good. 7) The tariff was reasonable. 8) It is centrally located and close to the National Museum and there are several eating and transport options next to the hotel. Cons: 1) The choices at the rooftop restaurant are rather limited for vegetarians. We had the Thai Curry and it was rather average. 2) The hotel is a bit hard to locate and took us a bit of searching around.

Staff very friendly , helpful and efficient. The restaurant offers a wide choice of excellent food at a reasonable price. Good location, close to main centers of interest, rather close to the railway station but a bit far from the airport. Even though there are many constructions going on around, once the window is closed, you do not hear anything. I would highly recommend this hotel - no power cuts since they have their generator

The room was top notch and there was no dearth of amenities inside. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, including Sri Lankan cuisine (don't forget to try the string hoppers!). The hotel is strategically placed, about 10 mins from the beach and 15 mins from the railway station by car. The pool is quite clean. It may seem like an infinity pool in the photographs, but there are two buildings in the front (they don't block the view of the ocean though).

Pro: food tasted amazing, staff friendly and got an upgrade, arrived at 11:30am and was checked in. Bell boy very friendly too. He advised us that the hotel has a dry bar, as they were Muslim, and alcohol had to be purchased outside of the hotel to bring in. No real issue to be honest. Good value for money. Cons: construction taking place opposite the hotel, bring some ear plugs to get an early night sleep.

Located next to Marino Beach Hotel but at a more competitive price (and you can still use the facilities at Marino beach) and near many eating places, about 30 min walk (or cheap Uber £2) to museum, temple etc and cheap Uber to Mount Lavina beach £3. Great Infinity pool and Ocean view. Excellent service and hotel tours are great at very competitive prices. Buffet breakfast has a good choice of Indian, Chinese and Western type foods. Rooms are modern and spotless. Amazing value at £55/night.
