Sabangan Review for Family Trip”
Staff are great! Kudos to ALL dining staff for patiently attending to our needs despite the short manpower challenges. Also to the male reception supervisor, for providing specific room allocation I required. Thank u’ To the management, you must hire enough people to operate your resort. I feel bad for those employees who need to render task beyond their scope. The pool is not properly maintained, the beach front is fine but please do not allow guests to eat and drink within the shoreline. Please install in-room telephone so guests can easily communicate with reception or housekeeping. No wifi, no data/globe signal. I will rate the entirely properly 4 out of 10 I will rate the staff 9 out of 10 If u are looking for 5 star service in terms of facilities and food. This is not the place for you.

Not solo traveler friendly”
Their smallest available room is a double which included meals. I emailed ahead of time to inform them that I am a solo traveler and to ask if it's possible to adjust the meal prices (as I am only one) and also the meal schedule (as I would be arriving before the 3pm check-in time). The curt response was that the time of the meals are set and the payment for meals is set as well. It turns out that the meals they included was a buffet and they could have easily allowed me to join the buffet when I arrived! Also, the food is very basic, salty, and fatty. I also found it annoying that they asked me for a deposit for the key. The beach is nice but there were hawkers trying to sell me souvenirs which was a bit unsettling because I was alone. The rooms are clean and okay but the sink in the bathroom was clogged.

Accommodating staff, pet friendly resort”
staff is very accommodating, they granted our request to be transferred to a lower floor since my parents are old and will find it difficult to use the stairs. Room and bathroom is clean, just bring toiletries because they do not provide any except for shampoo, body wash and toilet paper. Beach is very clean also, pool is small but ok. Food is basic, taste can be improved (lunch and dinner). For breakfast, I hope they can serve bread, butter and jams for those who want a light breakfast. They serve Filipino breakfast which is good. Love that this resort is petfriendly. We enjoyed our stay more because we get to bring our furbabies. Thank you Sabangan beach resort for a wonderful stay! We will definitely come back

Better than most resorts in Laiya”
It’s on best stretch of beach in Laiya. Just don’t go there on the weekends, Aquatico, the inconsiderate neighbor, usually hosts marriages during the weekend which lasts until early morning. It’s just too loud, you won’t be able to sleep. Other than that, Sabangan ang Virgin remain as my top choices in Laiya.

Dear John, Thank you for choosing #mySabangan Beach Resort as your top two choices in Laiya. 💛
You can't go wrong with staring here”
Generally, all resorts in Laiya are overpriced, but Sabangan gives the best value for money compared to two more luxurious (and pretentious) resorts right beside it (which are incidentally always fully booked). Rooms are comfortable enough. Food is basic but delicious Filipino fare with omelet station during breakfast.

Perfect for Families”
Beach is clean and well-maintained, plus not too crowded. Decent rooms and clean CRs. Attentive and polite staff. Needs improvement on food since package includes buffet dinner, breakfast and lunch.

Our second time here. We have a great stay.

Average resort”
1. Location - good and situated along the long strip of Laiya beach. 2. Area - the total land area of the resort is small. Their beach is limited. 3. Rooms and facilities - since Sabangan Resort is one of the oldest, expect facilities to be not so new. They should try to maintain their rooms by repairing and renovating them to keep up with the wear and tear. Bathroom stinks. 4. Swimming pool - water is stagnant and itchy. Water is not circulating/ with no replenishment of new water supply. Low maintenance. 5. Food - costly given the food choices. Although our room has full meal accommodation for 4 adults, an extra person would cost P2700 for lunch, dinner, and breakfast (P900 per meal, a typical price for quality buffet restos). 6. Security - we lost our swimming trunks (for kid and adult) upon hanging them to dry at our veranda. We asked the security to review the CCTV footage but to no good. Limited lighting at night also adds up to the resort's lack of security.

Rigtig godt”
Comfortable rooms, basic but good food, excellent place for family bonding, including pets! Bring your own snacks and drinks, probably your own blanket unless you don't mind using flat sheets. Only issue was poor internet connection.

Fantastisk”
It's really a nice place, especially our cabana - Narra 1 A, has a beach front view. The place was quiet and the sea water was clear. The only thing that I did not like was that the sand was coarse and rough. But over all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to others.

Hidden Gem in Laiya”
We stayed last October 30-31 which is peak season for most resorts. Fortunately our stay was wonderful. It was not crowded. We stayed in a 2 bedroom bungalow good for 8 pax excluding the two kids. There are 2 queen size beds per room with each room comfortably fitting 4 persons. They have a separate toilet and shower room with heater for each room. The toilet was clean with available basic toiletries for 4 pax as well as towels. Flush and heater were working fine. No issues with water supply as well. The bed was comfy and clean with 2 pillows and blanket each. You can ask for additional pillows, blankets and towels at no extra cost. The room was also clean. Airconditioning was working great. They have flat screen TV with cable. Channel selection is not extensive but that’s fine because we did not go there to watch TV anyways. Inroom safe not functioning though. Only one room had a personal sized fridge. On board meals already included in the room fee. Great selection of buffet food.

Very poor value”
On arrival it was like arriving to a building site and there was no one at the reception, no warm welcome, no smiles or anything to be honest. Eventually we were met by someone who told us to wait and seemed surprised we were there but summoned some staff to make up our room. They hadn't bothered before even though we discovered later that we were one of only two groups of people. We had a two bedroom bungalow which isn't worth the money. The bathroom was outside so not really easily accessible at night unless you go out which isn't at all suitable for young children. We had all food included and it became boring within two days or three meals which were pretty much the same. We left the following day as I realized that it wasn't for us. There was nothing else to see apart from the resort which was tired and mosquito ridden. I could have rented a villa in Thailand for this price for a week, this was just so overpriced it was beyond belief.

Very nice resort!”
We stayed here with about 20 people. So we rented two bungalows and a suite. We were happy with the rooms. They are basic but clean and in good shape. The ACs worked very well. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner are Filipino staple foods and always replenished. There are about 3 options that change daily besides the rice. For breakfast there is also an omelet station. All personnel including the manager were always very friendly, welcoming and accessible. That made our stay quite enjoyable and an easy choice for when we are coming back to Laiya.

Family-friendly resort on attractive stretch of beach ”
This resort is lined up alongside the strip of beach in Laiya, and in fact is squeezed in between two of the most famous resorts in this neighborhood - Aquaverte and Aquatico. By squeezed I mean blink and you'll miss the entrance. On the positive side, you have access to the same beach and water sports activities that the folks at the fancy places have. But if either place is having a band or a late night rager, you're going to be right there with them. The Laiya beach is pleasant enough and the water clean. The sand is much coarser than Boracay and it has been picked clean of much worth collecting or even inspecting. The pool at the hotel is not huge, but big enough for the small size of the resort - but it was not sparkling clean. Clean enough, but could certainly be better. The Sanbangan is definitely oriented towards Filipino families. We were the only non-Filipinos there and the four of us were one of the smallest family groups there. Many multi-generational families. It was endearing to people watch these extended families enjoying one another's company and a good culture experience of Filipino life. We did not feel uncomfortable in the least - in fact, the family-friendly environment made us feel quite at home. The staff went out of their way to be helpful to us, making sure the WiFi was working strong. The manager checked in on us whenever we saw him and went out of his way to be sure we were happy. The food at the hotel restaurant was simple Filipino fare, but reasonably tasty and plentiful. It is rice for breakfast, rice for lunch, and rice for dinner. But again, the manager offered us pancakes one morning and toast another. Having a little gift shop at which we could buy ice cream cones made our youngest happy too. We had a room with two double beds. The room was clean. The bathroom had most everything you would expect. The large porch was nice, especially since we spent most of our time in the pool or in the ocean, so we had a pla
