Great Experience”
Wanted to go on a simple road trip with family and Pondicherry looked like the perfect city. I searched through Agoda and chose Shenbaga hotel. I didn't know much other than the details provided in Agoda website. The only difference from other hotels is the check in time is 1400 Hours while other hotels usually have 1200 as the check in time. I reached around 1345 and the check in process was simple but they asked for the id of all the guests. Luckily we had I don't know what's the process if not every one had valid id. The hotel has 8 floors. The swimming pool is situated in the 8th floor. There was two restaurants in the ground floor but only one was operational. The crowd was lesser than I expected, may be covid effect. The hotel is situated at a great location. You can actually walk to the beach which I did. It is around 1 KM from the beach. The room was spacious and neat. It has wifi, TV, iron, coffee maker, instant coffee mixes, dental kit, bathing kit etc. My room was in sixth floor and it had great views. The pool was wonderful. The staffs were helpful. The breakfast menu was great. The food prices were not exorbitant if we go a la carte. We can park our car at the hotel. Overall it was a great experience.

A pleasant stay”
After this 2020 lockdown, this was our first outing. Chose this hotel for our stay.. we really had a very nice stay for 2 days. Rooms: The rooms were very spacious. It was very clean and well maintained. Usually deluxe rooms will comparatively have a small space but in this basic room category itself is so large. The amenities inside the room was also good. We had all the basic things required. The room looked so fresh and clean. I really liked the rooms. I would give 5 stars for it. The ambiance was so cool and calm. Bed was very comfortable for 3 of us. Overall extraordinary rooms. Food: We had the complimentary buffet breakfast. The spread was limited due to covid. But whatever items they served was very tasty. All the south indian breakfast was delicious. They had south indian, continental and north Indian. But i tried south indian and i loved it so much.. worth the pay for breakfast. In room dining: Due to this COVID even in restaurant they had very limited menu. Only Tulip was open and it had very limited menu. So we didn't get chance to taste their wide variety of food. We ordered fish finger, chicken tikka, veg club sandwich and in continental we ordered basil tiger prawns and grilled fish with lemon butter sause. The fish finger was so tasty and yummy. Veg club sandwich was also delicious. This tiger prawn and grilled fish in continental was like heaven.. wow.. so so yummy. We really enjoyed these two so much. It was more than what we have expected. It was so so delicious. Thanks for the chefs. Pricing was average and the quality and quantity of the food was worth the pricing. Others: Due to this COVID gym , swimming pool , all were closed so we couldn't enjoy those facilities. Room service was very prompt and on time. Very polite and gentle staffs. Only one drawback i felt is usually we carry pendrive wherever we travel so that we can watch movies at whichever hotels we are staying.. so even here i tried connecting my pendrive in the smart tv in

Great Stay”
It was a great experience staying at Shenbaga. Clean rooms, Hygienic Washrooms. The hotel have all modern amenities. It is one of the best hotel in Pondicherry. Breakfast was great and still I miss the breakfast in the morning. Rooms are very tidy and well maintained. Swimming pool on the roof is an additional amazing thing from which you can enjoy the skyline of Pondicherry. Overall It was a great stay. Staffs are very helpful and prompt. We stayed as a couple for 2 nights.

Very clean and conveniently located hotel. Super housekeeping staff. Tulip restaurant and coffee shop convenient and modestly priced. Lovely rooftop pool sparkling clean. Will stay again as walking distance to promenade and other places of interest. Many restaurants nearby as well. Comfy bed and pillows. No complaints

We got the room on a deal and for the amount we paid it was pretty good. They follow Covid protocols and disinfected our luggage as soon as we arrived. Also common areas are cleaned frequently. Rooms were spacious and spotless. Staff were helpful. WiFi wasn't that great. Breakfast buffet was awesome.

There are homestays, then there are hotels, then it comes Shenbaga hotel. Starting from excellent waiting/reception area, an awesome interior view of the hotel, top class restaurant and the complimentary breakfast is just amazing !! Best Sambhar you can have. Staff is very helpful and polite. Premium rooms. Best part is the rooftop swimming pool ! beach is roughly 1 km from this hotel. Overall, anyone who stays at this hotel, will love the Pondicherry double !!

We booked the hotel for 2 nights and the moment, I checked into the room, I opened Agoda just to confirm the price. Man, I couldn't believe it offers so much in just 3K/night. The room was spacious, the bathrooms were great, and has the largest car parking space. The breakfast buffet has 15+ varieties and covers almost everything. We ordered Chicken noodles for lunch. It was too good. Overall 10/10 experience and will book again if visits Pondi again.

Superb Hotel”
Our stay at Shenbaga Hotel on september 16th- Pondicherry was nothing short of brilliant. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The interiors beautiful, the food was also amazing. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city and just about 1 km away from White Town. Staying at the hotel was certainly a wonderful experience throughout. If I visit Pondy again, I will stay at Shenbaga.

Excellent hotel with amazing service!”
The location of the hotel is excellent, just 5 mins from Promenade beach. The room was super, staff is amazing. The breakfast menu was really great. All of us had different choices of food and everyone was happy. All required things were very close by to the hotel. Only thing I would suggest them is to put some notice to people about water savings in bathrooms.

A very good place to stay, location very convenient within the heart of the city. Staff very courteous. Recommendation: Food spread for the breakfast menu could be bit more elaborated, especially in the Non - Veg Section {found only once choice for Non - Veg item} also the choices for Juices & Fruits were very limited. All in all a very satisfactory stay. Can surely visit again if destined for Pondicherry visit.

Amazing hotel in Idyllic Puducherry ”
Shenbaga is an awesome hotel where your privacy is respected and your preferences duly noted. I had booked a triple occupancy room and didn’t have to ask for anything extra, be it a bed, towel or even a cup to make tea. Everything was beautifully arranged every single day of our stay. Good hotel in a good location with good and courteous staff”
Pros nice room, nice amenities , good breakfast, also location was nice, not far from promenade beach and French colony( about 1.2-1.5km), but lots of shop specialy juice, drinks , are available within only 50-100 mitres , Providence mall is also 1.5 km away from hotel. Lunch or dinner is also tasty and reasonably priced.

Perfect stay @ Pondy”
If you are in pondy and are looking for a hotel in the centre then this is the place. Depending on the season the price might be slightly premium, but is a good place to stay. The hotel is just 2 to 3 kms from the white town and promenade beach which means closer to the downtown as well. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The stay here was brilliant. Duplex rooms were absolutely nice. The roof top pool and the view from there is great. Except for some food we ordered (soup which was the worst ever I had. Looked like a mutton bone fell in yesterday’s “Rasam”) we had a very pleasant stay at Shenbaga

We group of 6 stayed here for 2 nights and 2 days in count suit. Room is spacious and the staffs are friendly enough to solve all our needs. Location of the hotel is easily accessible and the Beach is also just a walkable distance. They also have late night restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for families and couples.

Stayed there for 3 days. The stay was too good.. All necessary amenities were there. The staff were very helpful. We stayed with complimentary breakfast option and the breakfast was very good too.. Such a pleasant stay. Much recommended.
