Clean room, comfortable bed”

If you're looking for a clean room and comfortable bed near to the entrance of Kinabalu National Park, Skyville Zen offers decent rooms at a good rate compared to other places that are overinflated. The location was tranquil although missing a Mt Kinabalu view. It would be nicer to enjoy the outdoor area if there were some proper comfortable chairs with back rests so one could sit outside and enjoy the natural environment which is the reason for staying in Kundasang! Overall good value for money and if you don't mind not having the view, it's a decent clean option.

A Retreat to rest our selves”

Pros: Nice cosy place. Kind staffs. Cool air and clean environtment. Good common kitchen facility. Good common water dispenser and hot water. No tv and mobile service is scarce. Which is good if you want to have a really relaxing time. Clean room. Cons: Small parking area. No restaurant. The road going up need some maintenance and more lighting at night time. More chairs to sit outside.

On site transfers are provide to the national park, restaurants and local town for around 5-10 R. The staff are friendly and helped us secure a difficult transfer to Sepilok. The place is high up and the views/sunsets are great. I would stay here again 100%, you will not find better customer service!

Quiet and Peaceful”

Very friendly staff and helpful. The road towards the hotel is steep and narrow but manageable. Kitchen, washing machine (no detergent) , drying rack, iron were provided so we get to wash and dry our dirty clothes since we came right after our stay at Polumpung Campsite. Heater works well for us throughout our stay. Had a relaxing dinner outside overlooking the mountain view. We really had a nice stay here.

Environment ”

Clean and beautiful places to stay. It is cilly at night even with the thick blankets provided. Please bring along all the warm clothes to get through the chilly night. Umbrellas are provided since it can rain at any time in Kundasang. A good place to relax with beautiful sunset too.

Beautiful Zen & Friendly Staff”

We had a wonderful time at Skyville Zen although it was just an overnight stay. The staff was very friendly & explained to us the facilities available. Hot water facilities was good and had a small group chatting after dinner at the common area since it was not the peak season. The garden area was beautiful with a variety of plants. Good place to relax & chill. Enjoyed our stay there.... Will be back...Thanks

Nice place to stay”

I discovered this place in Agoda. very nice and quiet place with a bug dining hall and kitchen for those who want to self cater. Needs to have more signage especially before reaching the turning as the turning is abrupt and cars behind may knock into you if you suddenly see the sign and turn in a panic not to miss it. Drive carefully!

Neat place. They have all the necessary things like umbrella, washing machine, iorn box, drinking water heater so we can make use of it. Wifi is another plus. At night you can enjoy the mist. They don't have restaurant but you can buy some beverages and instant Food. Friendly staff. They gave walky talky so we can communicate with receptionist coz no intercom. We booked two rooms so we got two talkies. Thats a different experience than other hotels. Recommended to stay. Overall best.

Road need to repair. Risk of landslide in 1 part of the road. Bed is not triple bed. Instead Sharing 1 huge bedding compartment with all the children. Kitchen utensils halal n laundry also provided.. good spot for family outing.. will come back again

As the name suggests, we felt like we were in the sky. The location is at the cloud level. Such a beautiful view! Staffs and owners were very kind to us. We will definitely come back when we visit KK next time. Highly recommend this place!

Best Place to Rest”

Owner & staffs are totally friendly & awesome. Room very clean. Environment very nice, quite & peaceful. It’s a bonus as they also have transportation/shuttle services to the nearby tourism attractions places. I hope the management plant a lot of highland flower at their resort. Will be back again & strongly recommend

Not for fussy traveler..quite difficult to find this resort signboard was smalln fading...very nice scenery as Skyville located at the hilltop..no restaurant or cafe but near to halal restaurant .good place to relax ur mind..staff very friendly and their service was superb..will definitely comeback again.

The location is quite close to tourist attraction but very isolated and the road to the hotel is small, steep and dark. No staff after 10 pm and we were advised not to contact them after 10. We were given walkie talkie to communicate with them. There are washing machine provided but soap has to buy ourself. Not advisable for family with young children and those whom are less adventurous. Otherwise the hotel condition is good.

Location is a bit secluded up on the hill with a narrow road. Check in process was fast & receptionist is friendly. Explained all the services, facilities and the do’s & dont’s available at the resort. Simple & basic facilities in room with complementary bottled water, coffee & tea making facility, towel, hot shower but no TV. WiFi not connected to rooms though they said it’s available. If you want to get good connection, you have to go to the reception area. Rooms are not sound proof...can basically hear the next room occupants as well as people around the walkway talking & laughing. Washing machine, iron, water, etc are located at central & common area outside the rooms.
