Great stay”
Very good place to stay..i took the cottage and it was directly facing Kinabalu mountain, so dont forget to wake up early to enjoy the morning view and the sunrise through the mountain..bed is comfortable..i didnt take the package with meal as a bit pricey for me, so i took the room only...plus i was having a barbeque at night with my friends (provided by the hotel at extra charge, and not that expensive..they even lighted up the fire for us)... the only negative side i had was the signage from the registration counter to the receiption block was not clear..yes at first you need to register your name after past through the guard, then you need to go different block to check-in and collect the keys which at a Luwagu cafe if i m not mistaken..the staff did explained to us, but since it was hill road and one-way, once you missed the junction you need to go around back..but it doesnt affect my awesome stay here... Make sure bring extra cloth..it much colder..i ve checked my phone stated 18 degree, i think it was lower as so cold

Beautfiful accommodation but food needs to improve!”
We stayed the first night at Peak Lodge. Very charming chalet with convenient carpark straight in front. Firepit is a must of course! Nice view on the Mount Kinabalu. We moved to the Summit Lodge for the 2nd night. What to say....amazing place to be. Can't fault it. Except a problem of water pressure at night and no water at all in the morning, but then water came back eventually, still without pressure. Apart from that the accommodation is everything you can ask for! Superb and bigger firepit there, extra comfortable beds, beautiful layout, wish we could stay there a whole week :) Unfortunately, the food is below average, sorry to say. We tried both restaurants and were both times disappointed. The worst was the breakfast. I felt sorry for the people who were ready to hike around. Please, train the cooks and display a breakfast buffet that matches the high standard of your accommodations. It's cold up there, people need good comfort food before and after a long day of walking/climbing

This is when d inter district travel were allowed. Stayed for 2 nights this time around (especially when travelling with children, one night only will not b sufficient-trust me on this). Staff were genuinely courteous, helpful & welcoming d moment we drive in, check in, dine in, room service & upon check out. Facilities, cleanliness, location beyond my expectation (clean room, cozy indoor ambiance, needless to say astounding outdoor scenery, comfy bed, towels, extra pillows etc well provided). Good value for money, I leverage on rooms offers that includes Breakfast. Things we normally do within d park (with the friendly trails we usually take a lot of strolls; morning, evening, night-stargazing), we'd drove up the park to the one of the many site there like the World Heritage Site & d Climbing to Mount Kinabalu start up point. Things we normally do outside d park; drove around, visiting many types of farms in Kundasang (Cows, Alpaca, Rabbit, Cat) & lots more I run out word count,sorry.

Nice and clean”
We stayed at the liwagu suite. It was a beautiful room. Nice and clean. Hot water need to be turned on 30minutes prior usage. Good pressure. If you’re looking for a view of the mountain then this is definitely not the room for you. My husband and I had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant, I would recommend sticking to the local dishes. They spread the meat sauce paper thin in their Shepard’s pie. Not even exaggerating. Crust was also burnt. Mushroom soup was too watery. Service staff was helpful and friendly. They had wine promo during our stay, which was 85RM from 5-7pm, or was is 6-7pm? All together I’ll definitely come again and keep to the local menu.

its the best place for honeymoon ever !! the room so clean, the bed have a lot pillow , so nice so calm and too cold even there is no aircond there. just wanna remark : the water heather not function well ,, the water to cold like ice but superb fresh once u take bath with cold water but its make sense the place near with Kinabalu mount. - for those who are booked AGODA must be prepared RM200 as deposit and the money will be return back after u check out . i didn't know actually, should be no need deposit because u're already full amount but the rest is PERFECT.. will return here for next year . thanks

Our stay during this time was so cosy and confortable. The place is clean and our room even have heater in case it gets cold at night which in our situation, it is very cold st night especially during raining. The water heater takes time to get hot about 30 minutes. This has been brief by the staff during checkin. So, we already prepared in advance to turn on the heater 30 minutes before taking shower. This place is clean and the staff are also friendly. Well recommended for people who loves nature and seek solitude.

Upon our arrival, we were greet with open arms and serve with delicious welcoming drink in a very comfortable area while waiting for our key room. Our room was at the Hill lodge and it is a real cosy room. We both love it. The breakfast the next day was heaven. We're looking forward to have a stay in the future at this place again as there's alot of hiking place around. Love it.

So much love with the stunning view from our lodge yard, perfect amenities with all kitchen tools, heater, beautiful fire pit. Bed are very comfortable with a lot of pillow! I bring along my parent who age 70 plus and a kids. They love this place so much and will plan to be our yearly vacation stay.

Lovely stay at the lodge. Magnificient surrounding with great view of the mountain. Check in was hassle free and smooth. Our lodge was clean and so cozy. Travelled with a family of 8 and took 2 extra matresses and the lodge is still comfortable enough. Hot water can be a little inconsistent but a small price to pay. Basically the whole park is a big walking area for you to marvel at nature.

We stayed at Grace Hostel in Kinabalu National Park. It was perfect for what we needed. We were in a room that slept four with two bunkbeds and it was very clean and cozy. The room was very basic with no AC, as to be expected with the cooler climate in the park. They provided transport to and from the hostel. There were towels, blankets and re-usable water bottles in the room. The communal shower and toilet facilities were adequate. There was a nice communal area. It was quite buggy and there were some holes in the window screen meant to keep out bugs so would recommend bug spray. The dining facilities in the park were on the more expensive side, with breakfast from 55RM and dinner from 80RM, however the staff recommended a place to eat just outside the park, across the road from the park entrance. We ate all our meals there, it was very affordable and they even make pack lunches for travellers hiking in the park. All in all a very nice budget place to stay.

We needed to find a place where our little boy can freely roam around safely. We want to avoid crowded places. Luckily, we succeed when we chose to stay here. Lovely peaceful stay. Suitable for family with young children. The only downside is although we have booked inclusive of breakfast for 2. It doesnt include our son. Fortunately our breakfast at Liwagu Restaurant is excellent because the portion is quite big. Theres easy trails to choose for short hikes as well. This is our 5th stay in this National Park.

Incredible stay”
While I only stayed at the Hill Lodge one night, I wish I had booked several days there after staying elsewhere outside the park. I felt like a Queen when I walked into my room and saw the huge bed, beautiful room, a heater which was so appreciated this time of year as the rooms get cold at night. Also, the complimentary slippers and bathroom, not to mention a very hot shower after a long day of hiking, and the restaurant just down the driveway was super convenient and good food. I highly recommend this place, staff is amazing and quick to help with my every need!

Hill Lodge hell yeah”
Got a great deal on a room at Hill Lodge and we’re SO pleased. It’s the furthest lodge up the mountain and thus so quiet and perfect for our thorough explorations of all the park trails. We ate well (and cheaply) at the restuarant on the main road outside the park entrance. The room has a high hexagonal wood ceiling and many nice touches. Hot shower superb. Electric kettle with complimentary coffee and tea. Great views! Sunrise birdsong.

Amazing Adventure ”
Pros: Quick check in and check out, beautiful and spacious Peak Lodge , with a spectacular view of Gunung Kinabalu! Friendly and helpful staff - there was a staff waiting when we arrived at the lodge who explained everything that we needed to know and answered our questions. I had a problem with my luggage lock and they came to the rescue. Loved the fireplace and it was comfortable having the heaters due to the chilly weather. Cons: Wish we had a guide to help us negotiatiate the park, or at least a better map. Could not locate the trail we wanted despite trying a few times. (Maybe it was our fault for not asking for help.) We also had frequent visitors - a cat and a dog. The cat was no issue but the dog was, as we were all afraid of dogs. So could not really enjoy walking outside our lodge for fear that the dog would visit us. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this place. You won't regret.
