The breakfast and location are well worth the £!”
Booked The Grand for one night prior to a University Open Day with my eldest daughter. The Grand surprisingly fared well in cost comparison to nearby hotels. We had an inland room so no amazing view but was one of the biggest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in the UK. The Grand is very grand! Public areas are stunning. Fab seafront location. Breakfast was amazing and very well staffed. No parking as is with most Brighton hotels. We parked in the nearby Churchill shopping centre for £25 for 24 hrs, slightly cheaper than the NCP. Despite having paid for our room, I was still charged £25 pp in lieu of room charges, bit of a cheek I think. Overall would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

The Grand Experience ”
What a fantastic stay, from the staff on the door who parked our car to the waitresses in the restaurant for breakfast and the room was amazing. Great location and fabulous ambience in the Terrace Bar for dinner and the food was first class. No green tea in the room and the products in the king size superior room could have been larger. Beautiful hotel, can't fault it. Staff very friendly and attentive. We had a Seaview room. It was very spacious gorgeous views, quiet rooms, great night sleep. The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a great selection of both meat and vegan options all fresh and hot. Hashbrowns not so great but I asked the gentleman to make us fresh ones which they did, quickly and they were delicious. Without a shadow of doubt we'll be staying there next time I visit Brighton. Thank you to all the team.

Vintage hotel with classic look ”
This is a classic hotel with many histories , located just in front of the beach . The rooms are spacious with modern equipments and the lobbies leading upto them are decorated with beautiful paintings and sketches . Staff is very helpful and wear their service with a badge of honour. Breakfast has plenty to choose from but repetitive across days . Nevertheless you can enjoy the Views from your table. Highly recommended.

Was attending concert at Brighton Centre which is next door. Staff very helpful and polite, room spacious, clean and comfortable. We had breakfast in the morning which was delicious.

Great Building, Best Place to Stay”
Such a great environment and superb rooms. The standard of upkeep is so high - not a single complaint is to be had about the quality of the rooms. The staff are so highly trained and polite, but a few did have a touch of arrogance at times. Parking is silly expensive - I found £6.80 day parking elsewhere in Brighton and it was worth the £5 back to collect the car later on. Shame not to have a pool! There’s also nothing particularly special about any other facilities. The bar is great, breakfast was actually quite basic but a nice environment to sit in in the morning. More choice would be lovely.

The hotel and location are great. The rooms and a good size and decent for Brighton. The only real let down was the reception staff. They really were the worst I’ve come across. Tried to give us a room downgrade, told us breakfast wasn't included (when it was), took us that the room wasn’t ready (when we knew it was as the porter took us to get something from the luggage). But besides the rubbish reception staff everything else was great.

Expectation Destroyed ”
I grew up in Hove and the Grand Hotel was the hotel everyone hoped to stay in. Finally, my opportunity came when I stayed for the Brighton marathon. Booking in was easy and the staff were very helpful. The bar area was lively and the staff was very attentive. The evening meal was booked in the main restaurant and to my surprise, the staff were dressed in jeans and shirts, not what I expected for a high end hotel. During our meal, a table across from us got loud and the the manager had to ask them to tone it down. The male was aggressive and had a heated discussing in the bar area. The manager apologised and the table remained louder than the rest. Unfortunately, while a waitress was clearing the table a glass was dropped and smashed near a female on the table. The woman was aggressive towards the waitress and left the table in a rage. My wife left our table a few minutes later to use the rest room and passed the woman in the foyer and was accosted by her. The manager and another waiter had to intervene. The manger came and asked me to collect my wife as she was shaken from the altercation. We both returned to the room. The room was ok but the coffee maker leaked and woke us both with the noise of dripping. From this experience, we will never returning and suggested others not to expect this hotel to deliver the grand experience that it should, for the price.

Really beautiful hotel and staff treated us with kindness and couldnt do enough to help. We spent our 13th wedding anniversary at The Grand and it couldnt have been more perfect. Located close to shops and attractions. We enjoyed a drink at the bar and the service was excellent. The room was clean, spacious and well decorated. The hotel helped my husband organise beautiful flowers to our room which were ready on arrival. We hope to spend our next anniversary at The Grand and highly recommend it.
