Good resort on the beach”
Directly on the beach, don't have to cross a road. No parking or resort fees. Large rooms. Very close to airport. Quiet area on the beach. Choose rooms overlooking the pool. Dated resort, appears to be from the 1980's. Almost no umbrellas at the pool, so shade was a problem. Mostly families with young children at the resort. Breakfast buffet for $20 was OK but not great.

Not worth the price”
Only positive thing is the beach access, and decent pool. Short version and points of this review: - Understaffed and OUTDATED - Do not go into the "Soda Shop" restaurant/store no matter how badly you want a soda. - Do your own research and planning if you are looking for something to do in Fort Lauderdale and surrounding areas. - There are no watersport activities/equipment provided or available even though this is a resort on the beach/ocean. - This is not an all-inclusive resort so don't let any misleading listings or the fact that you are paying TOP DOLLAR to stay here trick you into thinking it is. My full and complete review and details: This hotel is seriously understaffed. And outdated is a huge understatement. In the room there is a folder with property info and highlights, and it mentions the remodel and renovations done in the 1990's as if it is supposed to be an attractive highlight of the property. I will admit that the 1990 furnishings have been very well maintained though. Around the pool, there are many lizards and iguanas which are very fun to watch and snap pictures of. However, slipping and sliding in their feces around the pool deck is not quite as much fun. Neither is eating at the outdoor tables located under the trees that the Iguanas and birds like to perch on. You will get pooped on. I have heard that some people think this can bring them good luck, but I say keep a change of clothes and lots of hand sanitizer with you at all times. I was looking for activities to do with the family for the few days we were in Fort Lauderdale, and I was told by the front desk staff to check with concierge. They pointed me to the bellhop. I asked the bellhop (who was also the person that provided valet parking) where the concierge is, and I was told that I am currently talking to the concierge. I have never been to a hotel/resort where the bellhop was also the valet, and the concierge. I proceeded to ask what activities i can do with the family in

Great way to relax in middle of an urban area!”
Great location in Fort Lauderdale yet secluded and far removed from everything. Plenty of room and massive beach and amenities. 5 minutes from shopping, but seems remote. Easy to get to and comfortable.

Needs a renovation!”
Extremely disappointed with the value. Lago Mar needs needs a renovation - inside and out.. Old furniture, dingy carpet, paint and trim is weathered.

Wonderful Any Way You Stack It”
Location is the best for the Fort Lauderdale area and beach access is phenomenal. Property offers amazing pools, outdoor fun, and dining for family or business stay. Great amenities and wonderfully kept facilities in 5-star hotel/resort.

Hotel is good but service people non professional”
Room cleaning service not good, did not change robes during 4 days.The food at breakfast too expensive and without taste. Bad service at omelet station.

Großartiges Hotel”
Wir waren von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise mit allem sehr zufrieden: wir kamen in der Früh um 9 Uhr ins Hotel, und wurde sofort ein kostenloser Early Checkin angeboten, dann bekamen wir zusätzlich auch noch ein Upgrade auf eine Suite. Suuuuper Service! Es gibt zwei Pools, einen für Familien, den anderen für Adults only. Der Privatstrand des Hotels lässt keine Wünsche offen, auch dort sind Badetücher und Strandsessel inbegriffen und verfügbar. Und hat es wahnsinnig gut gefallen, wir kommen sicherlich wieder und werden dieses Hotel jedem, der nach Fort Lauderdale fährt, empfehlen!

Tolle Lage und nette Atmosphäre ”
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, hat einen großen Pool und insgesamt eine nette Atmosphäre. Gute Preis/Leistung bezl. Essen im Restaurant, Einziger Wermutstropfen sind die überteuerte Preise für Getränke im Shop und an der Bar.

Gutes Hotel mit Superlage, direkt am Strand. Das Hotel kostet ziemlich viel für die etwas ins Alter gekommene Anlage. Trotzdem hat das Hotel Charme und ist empfehlenswert.

Notre chambre n'était pas prête à l'arrivée en début d'après-midi. Après passablement d'attente, on nous a proposé une chambre mal située, que nous avons refusée, et enfin une chambre mieux située aux étages supérieurs. Ce processus était fastidieux !
