Great location - no fuss clean accommodation”
It was a great affordable easy option for an overnight stay in Christchurch - I am an older traveller but it still worked well! They even had electric blankets if you wished. And provided a towel.

Female dorm”
Stayed here for the second time or was it third, can’t remember. All is good. Location central. Laundry works. They sell detergent too if you need it. Overall clean. But the kitchen can be a bit messy when it’s busy or when some people don’t clean up after themselves. Pro tip: choose your dorm bed wisely cause not all provide the same comfort. My first bed on my first stay was horrible, it sunk as soon as I sat on it. Second and third bed was good.

great value for money, we booked a room for three and we got an apartment with two rooms, two bathrooms, common area and kitchen. I would definitely stay there again. Very good location

The counter staff, Melody, was very friendly to us and provided us lots of information we need. The room is enough space for three people. Pubic kitchen was fully equipped. Basically it’s worthy in the price. It made us have a nice start of our NZ trip.

Good as always ”
This hostel has good location. YMCA is always your choice if you have limit budget, clean and convenient. It’s also important that they provide free parking in city center of Christchurch, which saves money and a lot of time to find a place to park. Nice stay overall.

Overall okay”
The locations not exactly in the city and a big far off from the bus interchange but it’s near to other attractions such as the botanical gardens and punting. iSite is also nearby. The dorms were spacious and clean. The only downside of the dorm was I got a springy and uncomfortable bed that sinks as soon as I sat on it. Other girls in the dorm mentioned their beds were good, another girl said her bed was like mine, so I guess it depends on which bed you get. Kitchen was a bit messy but mainly because it’s busy and there’s always someone using it. I noticed the staff does clean it often though. Toilets and showers were spacious and clean.

Best location”
Location is perfect no matter you drive or not. It is located in the city centre, right next to the museum, which means a major bus station. Rooms are tidy and clean. Bathroom are all private with toilets and shower inside. But the kitchen is bit too small if the rooms are full, though there are a number of good food in the neighborhood.

Best for a back packers group and for a one night sleep. The price is good and the staff as well. Very convenient very near to the garden and tourist spots

I’ve stayed in the female dorms before and didn't like the bed that I got. Thankfully the beds in the private room was good and my room had the botanical garden view.

The rooms are brilliant for a space to retreat to during a busy sports event. The cleanliness of the room could have been better as there were a couple of “liquid” stains on the white bed covers, a shampoo bottle under the bed and a sugar sachet on the window sill.

Nice location around the City centre. Was quiet disappointed that the toilet was not inside the room and shared with other guest. No kitchenette, or complimentary coffee/tea inside the room. Kitchen for all guest of hotel is clean and tidy.

Stayed here a few times already. Have tried sleeping in the female dorms, twin bed room and single room. And all was good. Clean and spacious. The only downside is the kitchen can get quite messy.

Easy check in, great location in front of botanical garden, room is clean, shared toilet cleaned in the morning by staff, kitchen guest good, if you have food to be stored in fridge, label your food. Car park free, need to get tag from reception.
