The view from the bath !”

I sometime stay at this capsule hotel in Asakusa. The location is super good. It is right next to underground station and by the sumida river. The view from the bath on the top floor is soooooo good. But you might be peeped so be careful :)

I loved my capsule :) it was very cozy and big enough to give me the privacy I wanted from all the hostels. You can watch some tv and set up an alarm. There are only 2 floors for women and 4 for men, so the chargers were not busy. I was also always alone in the public shower (they have hot bath as well). Common rooms can smell of smoke because smoking is allowed here. You also have hot water and vending machines with food and drinks. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The downside is that you have to leave at 10h and leave your bags in the second floor and pay for the vakuables. Otherwise, a good experience!

Superb location”

It was a nice experience with this hotel. It lacates very close to the Asakusa train station which surrounding by many convenient stores, restuarants and the one of the famous attarction, Sensoji temple and Asakusa shrine. If you looking for the best location plus value of moneythis hotel is your answer.

Capsule hotel in Asakusa”

This capsule hotel is located inside another hotel, (they share a lobby).Its quite tricky to find it unless you go to the back of the hotel! Staff are quite helpful but and the common/shared area is quite spacious. Wifi is not available in every floor. Location is strategic, next to a train exit. My only complaints is that the pod/capsule is kind of old. There is no power outlet to charge your electronics unlike other newer capsule hotels. My TV is also broken.

Good location and perfect place for a low budget travelers”

Very close to the Asakusa station, right behind Burger Kind (if somebody would have troubles finding it as me ;) Cheap accomodation but I felt nice and relaxed there., I enjoyed the little onsen and the view from the terrace. Pity the internet wasnt working.

Very dirty, stains everywhere.”

The location was pretty great right next to the station. The staff for the most part was good. But there was one older man we would just flat out refuse to help me. Outside of when I first checked in and he tried to make me pay after I already paid online. Whenever i would try and turn my key in and leave and he was there he would stand there not helping me hand gesture for me to wait while he got someone else to take my key. The only place to get Wi-Fi is on one floor but it's also a smoking room. So if your like me and hate smoke don't stay here. There's even a note on the door saying there have been thefts recently. Makes you really want to stay there. There's only public baths no private showers . I will never stay here again worst hotel experience I've ever had. Would never recommend. Extremely dirty with stained sheets. There was empty hole in my capsule where I assume a tv is supposed to go. No place to charge your phone in the capsule either.

Great value if you are ready for adventure ”

Hey very Japanese experience where you are provided with slippers to wear inside and pajamas and a toothbrush. The Bass is communal, but separated by gender. You are expected to sit on a small stool and shower before getting into the large warm tub. It's not as intimidating as it may sound in officially kind of fond of this is another culture for a while. Would definitely return. It's not sleek and modern and there is limited places to plug in electronics, if you're looking for local culture you come to the right place. Steph is accommodating and friendly, I speak enough English to get you where you need to go, but some translation aids on your part will make sure everything is accurate.

Little confusing first time”

Since the name of hostel changed and it is hard to find the location. I need to asked Japanese people to help me and gladly I got the one who help. Make sure to put same name in front of the building so everybody will notice easily. The location was BEST actually because just beside the subway and also very easy to explore Asakusa. The facilities also good.. Having nice time to spending time here :)

Sehr gut”

When visiting capsule hotel, you have to be aware of what is it that you're paying for. For me, it was the experience itself and not the amenities. Beds aren't really comfortable, and there's not much of facilities in the hotel, but the experience is great and the staff was really helpful. They even let us use the lockers when we already checked out. Note that the google map doesn't show the real location, but the staff in the other hotel was nice and drew us a map to Asakusa Riverside (on map Hotel New Gyominso).

It was difficult to find this hotel. Because it is known by the locals as "Hotel New Gyomin-so" and "Capsule Hotel Asakusa Riverside" is not shown in the front of the hotel.It will be a great hotel after the renovation and upgrades.

Good experience”

Location was very good, plenty of sighseeings are very near, tokyo skytree and some temples. Also the capsule was quite comfortable. There was also small sauna upstairs. The staff was very helpfull and Nice.

good hostel in asakusa”

very near asakusa station, and lots of food nearby. too bad the wifi only worked in lounge and it is not a non-smoking free. many guest smoke in the lounge, this is the downside which I dont like and have to change to another hostel

VERY OLD but SUPER COZY”

I kinda like here been staying here many time but it is getting older. I would say everything is just perfect but the ofuro (bathtub) was not hot enough. Water level should be more than that and it was quite dirty. Not going to recommend any allergies guy to stay here but roughly it was nice and cheap. thanks for reading you guy. go to the top roof and you will see the very beautiful view

Great Value for a few nights”

Great capsule hotel for the cost. Excellent location with friendly/supportive staff. At check in you'll be given a key to the locker near your capsule bed after swapping your shoes in a locker downstairs for the "house slippers." There is a shared break room with vending machines and coin lockers on the second floor. The coin lockers there are various sizes. The large coin locker will fit large "checked" baggage. Make sure you have everything you need from your luggage before depositing your coins (400 yen for 12 hours at the time I stayed there), as opening the locker will require another 400 yen deposit to lock the locker again, even within the 12 hour time frame. Your capsule will be on a different floor where you will have access (with your key) to a locker that will fit two hangers for clothes (provided). You'll also find a towel, pajamas, toothbrush, and disposable razor in this locker. The capsule floors have a shared bathroom area. The 9th floor has a shared bath with showers, a large tub, and sink area for Men and Women. There is also a balcony overlooking the river on the 9th floor.

Great location, close to Kaminarimon and train station. 24 hrs food restaurants around. Public bath without any shower curtain. Good big bath pool.
