Official registered address on agoda is different from address of the building where the hostel is located. Got lost more than 4 hours finding the building where my accommodation is assigned. After finding the building, there is no one there. Conversations ensued with friends of the owner about the floor layout and which floor my bed is located. In the end a bed was decided. I only booked one night, luckily!

Good choice”

I stay here for 1 night before traveling to Fuji Mountain. I read many bad feedbacks about this hotel, but when checking in, I wonder why this guesthouse received such feedbacks. Staff is really nice (a young French teenage), room is clean and enough for us. Besides, it is located in the center of Asakusa, very good choice. Recommend for other visitors!

More appropriate for short term stay”

My friends and I stayed in the 6-guest bedroom for 1 night. Location: Great location, 2 minutes from Asakusa station on Tsukuba Express Line that is accessible from Akihabara station. One of the staffs contacted us to send an instruction about how to self-check in and a photo of the exact location a few days prior to our arrival at the accommodation, as the location of the accommodation is different to the one listed here. The staff was also very helpful and replied to emails quite promptly. Accommodation: It was okay. We had to climbed up the stairs up to the 5th floor with our big luggages as our room was on that floor. Highly recommended to travel lightly if you wanna stay here. There were only 2/3 bathrooms, but 1 toilet for each floor to be shared among all the residents. It was manageable for us as we arrived quite late at night and we left in the morning. There was a small towel, a blanket and a pillow provided.

Location of the hostel is not the one posted on Agoda. Self check-in with no one to explain anything. No rules so people coming at 2am and making noise as if it was 2pm. No accessories, showers not cleaned. At least if price was low.. Well I wouldn't advise it...

I am not a fussy customer and I think that the stay is well-worth but I love to help other's business to grow as I believe they are on track. Summaries for property owner to improve 1. Better lighting and sound proof wall 2. Incorporate better self-check in technology like Smartphone Access 3. Brief map guides on surrounding areas

Worst hostel in the world”

This place is GROSS. There was a booger on my sheets and sand, the stairs are filled with dust and empty bottles as are the floors in the dorm. There is no security whatsoever and do not get me started on the bathroom. You DO NOT want to stay here. This place is a scam!

No staff/receptionist, small room, less facilities”

We never met staff/receptionist on this guest house, communication only by email though her respons was good. Very small room, less light and facilities. Room's location and picture was different from the information in Agoda. I will not consider to stay at this again next time... Very bad room but location near to MRT and food street.

Not worth it”

The address of the hotel is not accurate. The owner will send you an email instructing you to go to a different and confusing location. The room number will also change once you reached the dorm. There's a day that the toilet didn't work. There's only 2 bathrooms to be shared by 3 floors. The towel is a joke. The whole facility is soon dirty. The owner seldom comes to the facility. We stayed there for 3 nights. No room lock or keys.

No-Frills Place to Stay in Tokyo.”

Strictly speaking, it's a place to stay and leave your luggage in while in Tokyo. Not a 5-star hotel, but if travelling on a budget, is a good choice. Stairs going up are narrow. Could be hard if you have heavy luggage. The contact person, Asako, will give you clear instructions on how to get in. Considering their price, don't expect any freebies. No breakfast; no soap/shampoo; they provide a face towel for you to wipe yourself with after your shower. Shower was ok, there was a heater. We got a "room" with 2 bunk beds. You have to place the bed sheets and pillowcases yourselves. Comforter was ok, soft and kept us warm. Not too much space to move around in if you have 2 big luggages. Location is great because it's near a lot of establishments and near the Tsukuba Express line, which you can take to Akihabara station to transfer to the JR Line and get around. It's also near the Shensoji Temple and the Nakamise Shopping Street. I will still consider Dormicafe K for future travels.

I travelled to the hostel very long ago andl still remember the day arrive and there is no people at the reception and the local police office do not known how to contact the owner (the police call the owner telephone number and there is NO ONE REPLY ) , so l booking another Hostel in the center of Tokyo, the neighbor is very helpful and they are try to contact the owner, but it is not works.

after my booking, I was then sent another address which is different from that stated in agoda. it was opposite seiyu in asakusa. I had a hard time finding the place because my map did not show the area number etc. So for people heading there, search for seiyu instead. Not too far from asakusa station. but narrow stairway and quite crowded. rooms are partitioned meaning there is a gap on top and not walls so you can hear people's conversation and be woken up whenever someone checks in, flushes the toilet etc. bedsheet has to be laid ourselves.

bad hostel I never been”

very bad to stay at this hostel, self check in without email and notification. When I got to the yellow building, no one in cafe and no one pick up the phone call. I kept email to them and I wait almost 2hours. they gave me a new address to check in but so difficult to find that place. this hostel no management no staff, and bathroom no lock, and front door will be locked at 11:30pm, and you may not find the key to get in. 16peoples to use one toilet and one bathroom. please considerate when you want to book the bad hostel.

Bad stay ever in my life!”

This is the most bad stay ever in my life. Among over 50+ oversea trips so far, my stay at this hostel is worst ever. The hostel is not located at the yellow house but it's on different location. The room is not made for sleeping, it's kind of traditional massage rooms that they adapt to be a hostel. Cannot sleep as will hear people walking and chit chat which so noisy. My 3 nights stay, I cannot have good sleep at all.

Wonderful Location in Asakusa. Near Sensoji Temple”

The owner Ms. Asako was very accomodating. Her place was wonderful and clean. Pros: She was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage before check in and after check out. Many restaurants and shops nearby as it is located near Sensoji Temple and Tokyo SkyTree. Nearest train station Asakusa: With direct access to Narita Airport Perfect for budget travellers for its cheap price. Cons: There was no Signage "DORMICAFE K GUESTHOUSE" outside the apartment so may find it hard to locate the right place so ask Ms. Asako or google the place in advance. Good Deal!!! I'd loved to book this place again.

challenging ”

location wise, this is smack in the middle of the town with access to trains and busses. however, thats just it. i have to climb 5 floors to my room, and this is after my trip to mount fuji. hence the leg pain was unbearable. the place is crowded with beds stacked double deck to accommodate guests and for a 5 floor compact place, only ONE shower room, and TWO toilets, for all to use. The Dryer is completely useless. and Tenant charge extra for the use of the iron. There's no hook/ place to hang towels and clothes in the room either. No dustbin also, only one at the common area for all. For a group or family traveling, this place will not suit you. But if you are a single traveler, and just looking for place to sleep for the night, this may be your cheapest option, although i am not sure you can have a comfortable sleep with the open style whereby you can hear other occupants snoring sounds and all. Definitely NOT for couples to display PDA, for all will see (and hear!)

Only good thing is location. But location is different from the address in website. You will get the email from the guest house owner after booked. We have to share toilet and shower room regardless gender and there is just one toilet and one dirty shower room in each floor. The room(3F) was very dark especially bed 1 to bed 5. You need to use flash. There is no socket near the bed. You need to charge battery around the table. Last thing, you can borrow one towel but that is face towel. No bath towel. I don’t want to stay this guest house any more

No amenities at all, rickety double-decker beds, dirty common area... I don't think they even clean the hostel. Do not stay here at all cost.
