Nice new hotel near the train station”
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Loved the relaxing vibe and the playful atmosphere of the hotel lobby. My neice named it the happy hotel because she enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Although the room was a bit tight, it had sufficient space for our big luggages and small suitcases (which can be placed below the bunk bed). Also, the private bathroom has its own bathtub. Perfect for relaxing after a long and tiring day of exploring the city. The room comes with 2 sinks and a private toilet too. My mom and sister enjoyed the breakfast the most. They loved the egg salad while my brother and i loved the juicy sausage served everyday. The property also has a common kitchen/dining area where you can heat/reheat your take out food. Lastly, thanks to the very nice staff of grids. They were simply amazing. Special thanks to Front desk AYA. Your kindness will always be treasured.. my neice loved the note and heart bracelet youve made for her. Kuddos to you and the rest of the team!

Easy clean and great location ”
Everything worked and loved the wet room fir the shower. Very tech friendly and really thoughtful design in small tight spaces . Bunk beds were a little hard . I imagine they could review this with a cover of memory foam - but this is the only grip.

The place is very near Ueno station and for a solo traveller like me the place has all you need. The bathroom and toilet is clean the breakfast is great and good value for money.

The private room is so good, the shower, toilets, powder room is so clean. And have ada laundry coin at the hotel. The staff know english. The location is perfect so near to jr station

Amazing Capsule hotel with a touch of home”
Nothing beats the strategic location of GRIDS Tokyo Ueno: just 3mins to walk across to the UENO station (on Yamanote Line) , surrounded by eateries & a 20min walk to Asakusa - the quaint old side of Tokyo.. Thumbs up to all travellers planning their stay here. A Minimalist hotel second to none :)

Very convenient location. Close to shops, restaurants, and the station. Place was very clean and such a simple and easy check-in and out. Definitely would stay there again.

Great Price”
Ueno is a great place to be in when exploring Tokyo. I loved how very near this hotel is to the important museums. Also a great place for shopping. I stayed in the all female floor and there are only 2 showers but everything was spotless.

Very clean hostel with a great location”
As this hotel is newly opened, everything was new and clean. We took the family room with a private bathroom. It was quite a squeeze with 4 of us in a room. There was hardly any space for us to open our luggage bags, but I expect that's how it is with hostels in Tokyo in general. Beds were comfortable. Location is great, as it is only a short walk from Ueno station and the shopping/eating streets of Ueno.

Room - Private room for 6 people There isn't enough space for every one to lay their luggage while packing their stuffs we have to take turn to open up to 3 luggages at a time. Cleanliness was good and they provide air purifier in every room which is a double plus for me. Staff I know this is a new branch that just newly open so some staffs still struggle to speak English. I love how they try their best to service us and they're very friendly too Shared space Shared space is surprising spacious compare to hotel size. It always have vacant seat which really nice. Highly recommend place to stay near Ueno station.

Great location and very helpful staff”
Arrived in Tokyo late at night and it was raining. The hotel staff helped me get a cab to fetch my daughter and our luggages from the Keisei station. The location is superb! Its very near the JR Iriya exit, and a good 350m or so walk to the Ueno subway station where you can catch rides from Ginza and Hibiya lines. Keisei Ueno is just about less than a km away from the hotel, no hassle going back to the airport. Lots of food choices around the area. There’s a 24 hr Ichiran at Atre Ueno (just within the Ueno station) and a convenience store is just a block away.

This place is just a road across Ueno Station, i forgot where the exit tho to easily access the place. The Staff are very friendly and accomodating

A bit far from keisei line but overall was perfect”
Hotel was a bit far from keisei skyliner but still can manage to walk there. Room was big enough for 4 adults plus 4 big luggages of my family. Clean and comfy bedsheet, toilet quite small but also have a bathtub for you. Staff was kind and friendly. Hotel also held some small party where you can join them(i was there when they held a takoyaki party where you purchase 1 drink and you can get to cook takoyaki for free)

Cozy hotel near the station”
This hotel was very affordable and it even has a breakfast buffet compared to other budget hotel/hostel. They also have weekly events/parties which is worth attending to.

Extremely clean and well maintained”
The fact that you are considering this place means you accept the risks that people who sleep above/beside you can be very noisy (just like other budget hotels/capsules). Facilities are extremely clean and well managed (shower rooms are also available which is a plus), service is great and good location very close to JR Ueno (although a bit of walk to Keisei station & Ameyoko). Also a quick reminder that towel, toothpaste, toothbrush, and razor are not provided (some capsule/budget hotels do). The Western style breakfast is okay but a bit disappointing considering its price.
