Fresh breakfast buffet. Clean & peaceful hotel. Great use of space in the room. Kyoto isn’t known for its skyline- so you can’t blame the hotel for lack of a view. Bathroom seemed outdated, but not enough to detract 5-star rating. Short walk to busy market across Karasuma. Money exchange machine in lobby with mediocre rates. Lack of lobby bar, but each floor has machines with beverages. Liquor Museum bar across from hotel has great prices if stronger night cap desired. STARBUCKS in between subway/hotel & convenient store across the street. Doutor coffee & 711 a couple blocks south. During cherry blossom season, the hotel lays out information in the lobby regarding which location has peak bloom. Unfortunately did not have time to visit the spa, but I heard great things.

We were very pleased to hear that you were satisfied with whole your stay at our hotel. As you mentioned, we are located in middle of Kyoto city and it takes few minutes to walk from nearest subway station. In order that Kyoto city has strict low about view and we are surrounded by buildings, we do not have good view rooms. However, it is quiet area at night time. We have some services except amenities such as money exchange machine, little souvenir space and some luggage sendings (by charge). Moreover, we have garden bath which has Jacuzzi and there is Japanese garden through the window. It opens at morning and night time and it makes our guests feel comfortable. Great location traveling by rail. Made a mistake when booking regarding not adding my 7 yo to my reservation, staff were helpful and accommodating to assist. Exceptionally clean rooms and grounds. Enjoyed the great variety of both western and traditional Japanese breakfast. Staff always more than helpful to any questions. Mahalo for your hospitality

The hotel is near the busy street but yet quite. 5-10 min walk to train station where u can travel to most of the tourists attractions. 25 min walk to Nishiki markets. Many food choices around that aera. Rooms are clean & is big enough for 3 of us. The warm toilets seats is super!!

Great time in this hotel with family. However, wish any chairs at dressing room for the public hot tub. My mother (76 years old )needed a chair to sit comfortably after taking bath. Anyway, thank your great hospitality. We will be back.

The front desk was really helpful for us to find a doctor nearby. And this location was so close to the subway station. And there’s a decent size market nearby. Close to the big street. Breakfast was really good too! I love this hotel!!

Centrally located, its a convenient and comfortable place to stay while Japanese rooms are quite small, everything is well placed, clean, and comfortable. You’ll have the luxury of a Japanese style public bath, delicious food, and nearby tourist spots. Staff are professional and considerate. You’ll enjoy the stay.

The hotel was lovely. Clean and tidy, excellent customer service. The rooms are a little small and the bathrooms look a little dated but very well equipped. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Complimentary water and bathroom products and really comfy Pyjamas were also supplied. Onsen is great and the staff will supply covering for tattoos. Our only negative was the breakfast buffet. The coffee and pastries were fine, but the rest of the food was really not very nice, and sadly was the worst food we ate in our entire stay in Japan. We were asked to pay upfront, which we did. Had we been able to review the food before hand we most definitely would not have bothered.

I stayed only for 1 night to experience the Gion Matsuri - Yoiyama (street festival) and Yamaboko Junko (float procession). I stayed at this hotel because it's right in the heart of the Yoiyama, and walking distance to the location of the Yamaboko Junko. The subway entrance is also only 5 mins walk. The Nishiki Market is not too far away as well. The hotel room itself was small for the price, but this is expected. Other than that, we don't have any other complaints. The reception and check-in was smooth. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room and bathroom were clean and complete with all amenities -- slippers, pyjamas, air and fabric freshener spray, towels, toiletries and hair dryer. We had a comfortable night's rest.

Size of Triple room decent, great hot bath, worthwhile stay!”
Had a comfortable stay in its triple room, size was alright not too cramped, amenities provided in the room are good, loved the hot bath downstairs but note it can get pretty crowded at peak hours. The hotel lobby also provided information on blooming stages of autumn leaves of various location and also provided umbrellas when it was raining. Overall a good stay, nothing much to complain about.

Like the reception garden ambience, it's an old hotel bed abit hard and pillow is too flats. But the hospitality and environment is good. The staff will wish you and smile when meet us, which let us feel welcome. I request the pillows to be change as it is too flats I not used to it. The receptionist offer to add one pillow for each of us as there is no taller pillow to change. Overall the location is good, near to subway station. Staff is friendly. Cleanliness is acceptable.
