Das Haus ist zwar ein typisches japanisches Kapselhotel, bietet aber die benötigten Informationen auch für internationale Gäste in Englisch an. Das Bett ist zwar das übliche Kapselbett in einer vorgefertigten Einheit, aber trotzdem bequem. Sehr nettes Personal, das auch der englischen Sprache mächtig ist, was in Japan nicht selbstverständlich ist.

PRICE I booked this hostel at a lower rate and its worth it. LOCATION Excellent. I didn't notice the river right beside the hostel because I arrived late at night. But, feel refresh in the morning while having coffee outside. FACILITIES At least the capsule is not made of wood and looks clean. The bedsheet, pillow, and duvet are white and no stain and smell clean. The common area is clean and well lightened. The shower room is on the 5th floor. RECOMMENDATION Yes.

Very friendly, responsible staff and good amenities. The place is good to relax in the evening, either in the lobby to make friends or riverside walk. It is very convenient to get food and close to convenient stores. I have utilized the kitchen facility. A good and economical place to stay near heart of Tokyo!

Nice and clean hostel”

This was the first hostel we stayed at in Japan and we were nicely surprised. The staff was very nice and friendly, the dormitory was big but clean and silent, the beds were in "capsule hotel" style, big and comfortable and private enough. The shower room is on another floor, the showers were big and clean. Unfortunately we arrived late at night and left early the morning after, so I can't say much about the common room, but it seemes nice. The hotel is less than 10min walk from the nearest train stop, easily reachable by Asakusa Line, and has several convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Great value for a low price!

値段の割に快適でした。シャワールームにはドライヤーや洗面台が4、5ヶ所はあり、そこそこスムーズに使用できました。また共用ラウンジにはキッチンがあり、調理器具一式や食器、冷蔵庫などがあるので、食料を買ってきて好きに調理する事が出来るようです。スタッフさんは英語がペラペラで、外国人の方からの質問にも一つ一つ丁寧に答えていらっしゃいました。受付が2階で、そこへは外付け階段で登るしかないのが難点でしたが、スタッフさんに声をかけると手伝ってもらえるようです。また、荷物はロッカーに入れる事ができ、入りきらないものやスーツケースは、スタッフさんに言えば別の収納スペースで預かってくれるので安心でした。寝台は入り口側に、テレビ（視聴不可）があり、体が大きい人は入るのに少し大変かもしれません（特に上段）。 It was so cheap, but comfortable than I thought. There are 4 or 5 basins at the shower floor, so I could use it smoothly. There is a kitchen in the shared lounge, and there are the cookwares, the dishes, the microwaves, and the shared refrigerator you can use. So it is convenient to cook something when you stay here more than 2 nights. The stuff can speak English fluently, and they answered the foreigners questions politely. The reception is on the second floor, and you should take the outdoor stairs to go there. If you have the big baggages, you can call the stuff to help. You can use one locker for your baggages. If it’s not enough for you, you can ask the stuff to keep hold of your baggages. There is a TV which you can’t use in the bunk, and it’s taking up the space of a narrow adit. So it might be hard to enter it especially upper one if you have sturdy build.

Affordable place in the center of Tokyo”

I stayed here for 3 days when I was solo traveling in Japan. The price is very reasonable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. You will have to do some walking to get to this hostel,l but it is close to two subways and the limo bus to the airport. There are some convenience stores within a 5 minute walk. You cannot wear your shoes in the hostel. They have slippers and cubby to store your shoe. If you are noise sensitive, this hostel is slightly noiser because there are more people per dorm. Now these are my personal pros and cons. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend and will stay again. Pros: Good Location (If you're trying to get to Akiharbara, Shibuya) It's fairly close. Price/staff is great Big showers + washer and dryer available Nice scene by the river Bathroom available in the shared dorm. Cons: Slightly dated capsules. Capsule cover is sheer You have to pay for towels if you need them Shower on the 5th floor. Only 1 elevator to go between the floors.

this is one of best hostel in Japan i stayed. wifi fast and easy to connecte bed(capusal box ) it isolated room that feel like stay at tiny single room.the mattress is good to sleep.(not too soft or hard) Shower & bathroom clean and enough number of them.i never had waited. common room there re free coffee & tea,tv,kichten,friage. well cleaned i got this booking with cheap price (1800 yen). but i ll stay here next time too. reception staff are friendly and gave me nice smile when i checked in.

Nice View, Near to T-CAT, Reason price”

Stayed here for 3 nights. About 10 min walks to nearest subway, female dorm have >20 person, fully occupied during my stay, luckily all the roommate is considerate. Shower and toilet is separated, shower room at 5th floor have a very nice river view, female dorm have own toilet, hence no issue for waiting for shower/toilet. T-CAT is walking distance, good for me that need to leave Tokyo before 5.30am without going thru the hassle using subway.

Had a pleasant stay here! The lounge area is nice and homey, which meant my friends and I spent a lot of time chit-chatting here. Place was quite clean, though the sleeping area was a bit messy - mostly due to guests. Only con would be that the guy at the counter when I arrived didn't seem too friendly or accommodating, and didn't really explain stuff to me when I arrived. However, when I came back later and new staff were behind the counter, they were extremely friendly and polite.

Great staff (thanks for the movies, Keisuke) and a well equipped kitchen make this a very worthy contender. Going up & down with the elevator - it gets busy during "rush hour" - can get a bit old but only having emergency stairs is common in Japan.

Good location near T-cat and suitengumate metro line. bed, toilet, shower and other facilities are clean. I thought there is TV in cabin, but no more available.

It was a really great capsule hotel, and it was by the river so the ambience felt really nice! The capsule itself is clean and cosy, bathrooms were also kept very clean. They had a comfy common area where you can chill and have your meal. Absolutely worth your money! The hostel is located near 2 subway stations, about 5-10 minutes walk. The TCAT is also a walking distance from the hostel, so it's really convenient to get to the airport, especially if you take the airport bus. Staff were really friendly! Would definitely stay here again if i visit Tokyo again~

Place was really clean and comfy! It was also convenient as it was near Kayabacho/Hatchobori station as well as TCAT, so it was really easy to get to and fro the airport! There were also several convenient stores near the place. Staff was friendly too! Really love this place and will definitely stay here again! ^^

Great place to spend a day or two”

I stayed here for two nights in January 2018. Friendly people, clean place, lots of bathrooms, nice place to relax downstairs, fantastic value for the money. Not super spacious by western standards but great place to stay if you are trying to save some money a few stops from the Tokyo station and want to stay somewhere clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again on my next trip. The added bonus is that you are right next to the Tokyo bay with views of the water.

Good for short stay or transit. Shared dorm, hence there is a timing for lights out. Light sleeper will not be able to get a good rest as you can expect travellers to move in and out at odd timings. Location is good, near to TCAT, easily accessible by airport bus.

Beautiful location on a canal flowing into the Sumida River!Capsules very comfortable and common area brilliant!View to the boats in the canal from fully equipted kitchen!Staff very friendly and helpful! Not the hostel's fault but alot of young American college students staying who had total lack of consideration for other guests!Came home from partying at 4am and talked and made noise until 6:30am!Asked them twice to go to the common area but that made no difference!! Has coloured my impressions of young Americans!They really think the DO own the world!!Beautiful hostel spoiled by inconsiderate guests!!!

nice capsule hotel”

great experience at oakhostel cabin. its my first time staying in a capsule hotel. pros: (1) they provide bicycle rental (limited), and is able to cater to the time we need it (2) comfortable bed and slight privacy (3) shower room is good cons: (1) shower room is on the top floor, causing a little inconvenience. would be better if every floor has own shower room. (2) only 1 lift serving all floors and no stairs, so have to wait a little bit for the lift.

Bring your own bath towel, face towel, and other utilities, because the hostel doesn't provide them for free. Also, there's a box inside the capsule (it is said to be a television but we cannot use it anymore) which takes a lot of space for nothing. Only one adhesive hook to hang clothes inside the capsule. And the bamboo blind attached to the entrance of the capsule doesn't have much coverage, that I felt like people from outside might be able to see inside the capsule when they walk by.

the staff was nice anr speak english well. the capsule and whole hostel is very clean. near from TCAT so you dont have to carry your luggage and changing train. will definitely stay here again if i back to tokyo
