excellent for an introvert like myself”
When i arrived there was a letter with my name on the front desk, it had my keys in it and told me my room number. There was no social interaction which is the best part. The hotel has multiple stores near it that are english speaking. the only con was the bird that likes to sit outside the doors and laugh at us.

Where is the stuff?”
We got to the hotel around 10 pm, and I could not check in for an hour and a half. There was also another couple being in the same situation as us. we called all listed numbers, but they did not respond. we eventually found the room looking similar to what we reserved, and we checked in by ourselves? It would have been great if they told us to do so ahead of time. on the other hand, the staying was nice and comfortable. Thanks Rhodes.

Cheap but has some common hostel issues”
It was really one of the cheapest way to spend one night in Tokyo. The two supermarkets next door are big bonuses. The toilet cubicles and shower rooms were clean, and so was the bunk bed. Unfortunately, since there was another person occupying one of the four beds, and from the looks of it had been there for a few days, smelly clothes piled up on one side and you can easily tell from the raw smell once you enter the room. You can set the AC as low as you want but it could not get cool enough. Considering it is still mid May, I can’t help but wonder how humid it can get during summer. The room was a little warmer than what I usually prefer, so consequently, I couldn’t sleep that well. Beddings were clean which was good and the cleaning staff were all polite. I suggest you take the lower bunk if you don’t like climbing up and down the wooden steps. The issue of the smelly clothes (of the roommate) is not really within the control of the hotel but I think this is common issue when staying at a hostel. If they can fix the AC, maybe I would consider staying there again.

I booked 1 double bed, I assumed that I will get bigger bed or two double single bed but it's not. ”

It is not really a hotel but more of a condominium/apartment type. It is far from Shinjuku city center or shopping district. Value for money yes but need to take train or taxi when going to city center

No Frills, Small Apartment with Shower. ”
There are different type of rooms, we chose apartment with shower. This is like 1 tiny studio apt. With small kitchenette- induction cooker (we didn't use), massive sink, free to use utensils, small fridge, water kettle, small table and chairs, television, and microwave oven. They also have washing machine (we didn't use). The room is provided with aircon/heater and separate small stand-alone heater is also provided Downside is the electric sockets are not enough, but we brought our own extension cable everytime we travel, so no issue for us. The bed is 1 double bed with pullout double bed. The bed kinda wobbly though. Haha. Travelled in winter, 2 adults and 2 children aged 16 Yr.olds with four 24-inch suitcases and few hand carry bags. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrushes, and room slippers are provided. Towels provided kinda have a funny smell so we didn't use, we brought our own. The best about this place is beside the building are grocery and pharmacy grocery have a lot of choices of food. In terms of transportation, this is like 6 min walk to ushigome-kagurazaka sta. 7 eleven is also nearby and few eating places.

Pros: Location of the hotel is very good! Cons: no receptionist around for the 20 days of our stay. Beware if you need help.

Receptionist was bad ”
Understand that receptionist not around due to we check in late. However, we tried to call the number provided numerous times but no avail. Furthermore there is no English option, all in Japanese. Is not friendly at all. The next day, during the working hour, the same things. We unable to look for any receptionist at the counter. Phone unable to contact as usual. The staff has wasted our a lot of time due to his irresponsible. This was my first time meet this such terrible incident and receptionist.

1st they are unresponsive to emails, so better call, I was so worried. I didn’t had problem checking in anyway. Place is good enough for the price. It’s really near Ushigome Kagurazaka Station, but not Kagurazaka Station. You can leave your luggage if you arrived too early. We have toddler and the mini kitchen is a big help. Got only 2 small size pillows unlike what’s in the photo & just 1 small blanket so better request ahead. You can hear noise fr the outside if there are people talking in the hallway I hope they can improve on that only, however it’s common in Japan cause many of their constructions are wood. Toilet & Shower are clean and we were comfortable to do our thing. Overall I will recommend the place.
