Clean hotel, great price, nice pool, friendlystaff”
Our stay at Latimer place hotel was great. We needed a place to stay for the night to break up our journey. It was in a great location, rural but close enough to town. The gym facilities and swimming pool were very nice, the price was very reasonable, and the room was more than adequate. We enjoyed the free tea and coffee in the room, the staff were all very friendly and we were also able to take our dog along. All in all, a great stay for a great price. Didn't try the food but highly recommend the hotel.

Lovely hotel”
We stayed at this hotel as it was close to some relatives I have in the area. The hotel is part of Latimer House which is a beautiful old building, rich in history. The gardens and surrounding area are beautiful. The rooms weer clean and large. Check in was fast and friendly. Unfortunately we were only staying one night, I would have liked to stay longer. Parking was abundant and free. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying at a wedding venue”
The possibility of Latimer House is huge but it us really not a place for stray independent travellers. We stayed over a weekend whuch hosted wedding receptions on both Sat and Sun. This meant that the facilities if the main house were unavailable. What was available were facilities in the conference centre - much less interesting. Apart from that, the stay was adequate but certainly not memorable. The house does have lovely grounds though.

From pictures on Agoda we thought the room we booked was in the main house, but we were not.”
Instead the room was in the conference area, so disappointing. The food in the restaurant was expensive, the food in the bar was ok, not as good as expect for money. They bar service was slow with few staff. All staff were very young and unsure how to deal with complaints.

Hotel with great scenery but with mixed feelings”
Mixed feelings throughout the stay. - It's unfortunately to say that the cleanliness of the room had let me down badly. First thing was, I walked into the cobweb between the toilet door, cobweb around the windows, spiders on ceiling and windows, flying insects in the room, dusty surfaces. I would presume this room was not occupied for long time. - TV channels were not re-tuned. - Wi-Fi signals strength varied at different location in the hotel. However, some upside for this hotel. The view is fabulous. The building itself is so historical and well maintained. There are plenty of free parking spaces. Big dinning areas. Onsite swimming facility.

Filthy place, despite many complaints. Hair in bathtubs, toilet paper not replaced, etc.”
As above. Despite complaining twice, amenities were not being replaced, I had to repeatedly ask for facial and toilet paper, and I could see dirt lying in the same spots as a few days earlier! Good Lord! I was there for 5 days. So while the estate is lovely and the surrounding scenery is too, don't take the risk of getting sick, stay somewhere else instead!

Felt very scared put in a building away from the main hotel with unmanned reception no mobile signal”
Lovely looking hotel in the main old building. Nice welcome by staff in main reception. Very small room in a annex building well away from the main hotel unmanned reception. I didn't feel safe as I had no mobile signal. Men sitting outside drinking when I arrived at the annex horrible.

Don't bother when private functions are on ”
As there were 2 private functions on one day were unable to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The main house was out of bounds for the 2 days as they had private functions on. The best part of this hotel are the views but we were unable see them due to these events. Each morning we had to go through the process of explaining that we had already paid for breakfast they would ring reception to clarify. They were very apologetic about it and offered to take off the meal. They then tried to charge us for the hotel although we had already paid Agoda. We have been here several times but this but this will probably be the last.

the place is soo nice, but the cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom was very bad I had to clean it myself and you need a car to get a near supermarket to get any groceries.

We just used this hotel as an overnight stop to visit friends and Family so werenot in it much. The rooms are really small but clean but it is very tranquil. You will need a car as the nearest town is around 4 miles away.

Noisy”
The very loud creaky floor boards kept me awake as people used the corridor at all times of the night and the room above. Not very restful. The room it self was clean and adequate.

Overall good ”
Without doubt the hotel is beautiful and the surroundings. The pool area requires TLC some decor looks tired and there’s no whirlpool- it looked like it had been boarded over- such a shame. Reception, bar staff all lovely. No air con however and I stayed on a hot summers night. I was advised by reception there should be a fan in the room but there wasn’t. The room was hot being upstairs.

OK for a conference hotel”
I was here for a conference and booked a room to stay the night before as well as the first night of the meeting. The room was ok but my room was on the ground floor with a door that was able to be opened into the grounds. I was assured it could not be opened from the outside but I didn't check and as a female alone did not sleep well the 2 nights. The room was ok but nothing amazing and was not in the main building. I wouldn't choose to stay here for a staycation but it was ok for a meeting venue.

Great location, excellent food, but!”
This is a lovely, refurbished hotel in an excellent location and appears to be well run. The restaurant was good, the food excellent, but pricey. However, the rooms (I upgraded to a superior room) were very small with a tiny bathroom. This venue is probably ideal for a business/wedding function where all one needs is a bed for the night, but not for any longer.

Perfect for Harry Potter World ”
One night stop to visit Harry Potter World. Great rooms (junior doubles), good price and hotel facilities Great. Nice pool open til 10pm and breakfast good. Had to go out locally for evening meal as no kids menu at the hotel but not a problem. Will be back.
