Good organisation, good communication, except about non fish-food. In our country it means no seafood. But on the boat it means no fish but still other seafood. So my daugter had a very bad diner, with very little alternatives. Is no meat than still with bird, krokodil or kangaroe ? Still it was an unforgettable experience. Thanks

Is a beautiful place to visit and service provided is absolutely wonderful but we were not that lucky as couple of the activities need to be cancel because of the fog. I just have to say that journey to halong bay and return is rather suffering as the road condition really need to be upgraded. Other than that, we have enjoyed a splendid and jaw dropping experience at halong bay.

Dissappointing”

The staff from the tour office was very friendly and our guide Hai on our drive to Halong Bay was very informative. The vans were smooth sailing. It was dissappointment #1 ( which isn't actually Oriental Sails' fault because All boats were forced to do this) But the boat was actually white. and it gave it a very dirty look. Our Deluxe room was roomy, but very musky. It smelled so damp that we actually slept with our door open the entire weekend. The facilities on the rest of the boat were clean and the top deck was lovely. The meals were extravagent and the food just kept coming. We stopped by surprise cave which was.. surprising. Karaoke at night was a blast and Tai Chi on the sundeck first thing in the morning was a lovely way to start the day. Where they really dissappointed was with their booking and communication. We booked through Agoda intending to go rock climbing. This was specifically the reason we spent so much more money to take the 3 day 2 night tour. Come the day of our "rock climbing" we hadn't been booked to do the activity of our choice and spent the day kayaking. Once it had been done, they couldn't do anything to get us to the rock climbing agency, or even get us back to Hanoi so we could enjoy the rest of our trip. The second tour guide who came upon the boat did a HORRIBLE job of insuring customer satisfaction. Instead of working with us to figure out how we could be compensated for our extra money spent, and even more importantly, the time lost on our vacation, he insisted on proving us wrong. He then preceded to humiliate us in front of other customers on the boat during the second introduction dinner. Our second night on the boat was a waste of time, money, and energy. The rest of our stay with Oriental Sails was spent in our room. Overall we were the ones to take the loss for their miscommunication. VERY dissappointed.

during our stay we had a chance to learn a bit about the culture, eat amazing seafood, kayak, squid fish, learn to cook spring rolls, visit a cave and enjoy the sights of halong bay.

Une croisière agréable”

Nous avons passé deux jours agréables pour cette croisière. Les activités et aménagements extérieurs étaient sympas. La baie est très belle mais malgré qu'elle soit la plus éloignée, elle est tout de même très touristique. A cause du mauvais temps nous n'avons pu embarquer qu'1h30 plus tard que ce qu'il était prévu. La chambre n'était pas terrible, très vieillotte, certaines pièces mériteraient d'être changées (abattant de WC par exemple). Et surtout la chambre était gorgée d'humidité, il y avait de grosse trace au murs, au plafond et sur les draps. La propreté de la chambre était très moyenne (pommeau de douche pleins de calcaire, rideaux poussiéreux) et la clim de la chambre du dessus gouttait dans la notre. Nous avons eu la chance de tomber sur un guide parlant très bien anglais et très agréable, il a apporté un plus à notre expérience.
