Great place to stay”
This hotel is just along from the bottom of The Royal Mile situated behind Holyrood palace. It’s student accommodation open to non students. I was impressed with the security in that you need a fob to access all rooms etc. There is a communal kitchen with TV on each level. I would definitely return

Bathroom not designed well”
We had issues with using the shower. Drainage wasn't great and caused flooding into the room. Maintainace came promptly to clean it up but didn't feel like using the shower after the mess it created.

Room was small and simple, but perfect for an overnight stay. Shower and toilet were clean and tidy. Bed was quite comfy, small for two people but large for one person. Didn't realise there was a kitchen area until the next morning where there was cooking facilities and crockery, plus fridge freezer. Remember to bring a towel and tea/ coffee stuff plus your toiletries. Was a wee bit noisy but it was a Saturday night. Didn't keep us awake for long. Nice complimentary shampoo and conditioner. Fine and handy for all the tourist attractions and no problem with free on-street parking just around the corner.

I have stayed here before but this is the first time as a couple. The rooms are clean but not ideal for a couple. We booked twin beds through Agoda but none of the Destiny apartments come with twin beds so be warned the beds are small. Helpful staff.

We did not like the no food and drink policy in rooms. This was not known by us prior the trip. Else we would have canceled

Convenient but basic”
Room was dirty when we arrived. Bed very small. Bathroom smelled funny. Convenient for the fri he for a night but not a pleasant stay. Too Cramped for two people. Very noisy at night. Windows not sound proof.

Disappointing ”
Stayed during the fringe and paid £150 for two nights. Arrived to find out that there were no towels in the room and they had to be rented for £3. When I went to get one I was informed that they’d “sold out” and was offered a sheet! The rooms are generally not that clean and have a little bit of a smell. If it were cheap, I’d be okay with it, but we actually paid quite a bit for the room and had an uncomfortable stay.

Too Hot!!”
The location is excellent and that is about the only positive. We had a room on the 4th floor and I think I have been hotter in the Dubai desert. We were given a fan on the second night but even that only slightly cooled the room. Awful.

Dissapointed”
Hi, first of all, staff was so incopentent, they looked my booking about 30 min, because of different platform, second was shelves over head, not too much space for bigger person to rest, just made bump in my head, when tried lay on the bed, another thing no towel, wasn't mentioned in description, and last one, was really bad awfull, they said breakfast included in order, but I got only 2 coupons, which they giving discount for muffin, but asked pay for coffe and no normal english breakfast. This one only for students, but not for family.

Good for a cheap and short stay but the rooms are unbearably hot. Nothing stocked in kitchen, including tea towel, kitchen roll and basic cupboard supplied (salt etc.) Would not recommend other than for a short stay

Floors were filthy don’t know when they were possibly last cleaned, there were bugs in the cupboards, there was no hot water to take a shower we were there for 2 nights! There was no communication to say there was a £100 deposit & no towels we had to rent these. We had a studio so had kitchen amenities where everything was supplied apart from a kettle……… Bed was comfy and the location was fab that was about the only plus points, as it’s student accommodation we weren’t expecting the world but some hot water would have made me given it a higher rating

This is a "bare bones" place to stay but if you just need a basic room, you can't beat the price. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and I would have given them 5 stars, but I gave them 4 stars because there weren't enough of them.

You cannot find anything better than that for the same price. The location is very good - you can reach the Royal Mile in 10 minutes - we never used the bus. If we go back we will stay there again.

The hostel facility and service is below the standard for the price paid. Bed was not made up properly when I entered the room.
