"I know London inside out having lived there for ~20 years, and I would say this hotel is very well-located - just a very short walk from a tube station. (There are many hotels on the west side around South Kensington/Hyde Park, but really this is much more conveniently-located for Central London activities.) Another good thing about this hotel is the fact that, it is modern (many 3-4 stars hotels are have very dated decoration and facilities in London), clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. For the price I paid, this hotel is very outstanding."

"Having stayed in London only once before, we were again expecting our hotel room to be no bigger than a cupboard... We were pleasantly surprised to find that the description of the hotel and our room was very accurate! The moment we entered the hotel we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and given access to our room earlier than the usual check in time. Our suite was very roomy, large windows overlooking the gardens, king size bed, writing desk, TV, fridge, built in robe, safe, and a well appointed bathroom ... Even though we were only a tube ride away from the busy city centre, every time we came back to the hotel after a busy day of sightseeing we felt so lucky to come back to this oasis. Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a bit of luxury in true Kensington style! Price vs quality, this hotel rates at the top of our list! "

"almost everything about this place was excellent, but it was severely let down by its plumbing. the location is reasonable depending on your wishes. it's a reasonably accessible bit of south london, but not the very easiest if you are after the major tourist sites. the place itself is immaculately presented. everywhere is spotlessly clean. decor is a rather idiosyncratic lot of religious iconography, which certainly gives the place a very individual character. there's a 24 hour honesty bar with a comfortable room in which you can sit and relax quietly, a luxury not found in every london hotel. breakfast was continental-type, but absolutely superb; croissant and pan chocolat from neal's yard wholefoods etc, especially good freshly squeezed fruit juice and other really high quality products. the reception staff were friendly efficient and welcoming. in many ways i'd have liked to have given this place all round good reviews. however, a shower that works intermittently is just not good enough, and neither is a toilet whose cistern needs dismantling and reassembling after every flush. please sort your plumbing out so it no longer lets you down!"

"Very civilized mid-sized London hotel in a truly excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff who were quick and efficient. Room (single) was a decent size & very clean. Excellent access to shopping on Oxford Street and Bond Street Underground is 10 minutes walk. Main line railway stations, Marylebone and Paddington, are a very short taxi ride away. "

"It's a 10 to 15 min walk from subway so access is a little issue. Greeted by warm and friendly and helpful staff. Ate in after long morning of travel.Meal at lunch was lovely but a little pricey. My first stay in a London hotel so can't compare. I would definitely consider returning."

"This GEM of a hotel is in a great location near the heart of London. The hotel itself is nice and small, and very quiet. The continental breakfast was very good, and the staff were always very friendly and smiling. The hotel is within walking distance of many iconic landmarks, like Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, etc. Only a short walk to the Gloucester Road underground station. Or if you want to see the sights, take a double-decker bus to Westfield Mall, Baker Street, or Victoria Station. Most trips are just a single bus ride there, with stops near the hotel. We couldn't stop saying just how perfect the location was for this hotel. Our room on the fifth floor was very nice and clean, but doesn't have the big windows that you see on their website. It's basically the attic retrofitted into rooms. If you want nice views, ask for rooms on floors 1 to 4. There are also rooms on street level (rooms numbered 6XX), and in the basement (rooms numbered 7XX). We will definitely consider this hotel if we ever return to London."
