located in the country side, oposite the ocean expo park, it was very pleasant to take a walk in the morning in the peaceful country side and have breakfirst in ocean park aquarium sea view restaurant. the location also make it possible to take a lazy walk in the sunseck at the seaside of ocean expo park. the hostel has a very easy and happy automosphere, during my stay there 6 high school student there for their school trip, everyone cook together and eat together. the boss is quite nice taking care of everyone who stay there. and i met 2 stuffs that work in the aquarium visiting the hostel, they are friends of the boss of the hostel, they come to practice SANSHI and drink sake with us(students are not allowed to drink) and there are 2 hammocks on the roof terrace, super nice to lay on the hammock seaing the fantastic star sky in the quiet night.

The owner and his wife are both very friendly and hang out in the fried chicken restaurant they operate right next door. Sometimes they have friends visit or other locals come pick up some food for takeout, overall a very relaxing place. Aside from being right next to the aquarium, Motobu has a bunch of very pretty and beaches that have few visitors, along with being next to the castle ruins and some of the best local soba places. We enjoyed this leg of the trip much more than down in Naha!

I loved my stay here. I took a bus from the airport to Motobu resort and walked for about ten minutes. It is very close to Bise forest street where I longed to take a bike ride. It's close to beach and the beach is crystal clear with not many people around. At night,on the rooftop you can see great night sky with many shooting stars. Breakfast and coffee is wonderful! If you are traveling alone without a rental and want to spend some quiet time in Okinawa, this got to be it.

The owners are kind. They let me use a bicycle for free and helped me with bus routes. They even offered to drive me to the port at checkout for free. They are a happy family and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend. I was glad there was a full kitchen to use during my stay as well. :) It’s very close to a great cafe and the beach. Quiet location under the moon and stars. I felt sad leaving.

The mansion is in concrete architecture, which is very nice. It stands over the hill, overseeing the beautiful sea. It takes just 10 minutes on foot to the nearest beach, Anchihama Beach. The staff was helpful and responsible. They helped to arrange transport to/from the Motobu Port (Yanbura bus terminal from Naha) and the mansion. The cost was a lot cheaper than the seaside hotel. Though it does not provide meal, we can prepare our simple breakfast at the kitchen, which was enjoyable for the kids. As the mansion is kind of a resort house like YHA, it is not fair to compare it with a hotel.

I visited this hotel in Nov 2013 but reviewed only now due to busyness then overlook. Though 2D1N, it was one of the most memorable stays I had. This hotel is accessible via an express bus (scheduled timings and numerous stops) from airport which stops inside a big hotel (alighting point) and you can ask the reception for walking direction to Sendan hotel from there. Sendan hotel is quite a distance away from main road but you can admire the small plantations on the way. It is surrounded by lots of greenery and a small garden done up by the owners. It is also a 5 minutes drive to a small unique village and you can walk to the Okinawa Aquarium from there. I had reserved the Japanese style room but was given the Western twin room. Nonetheless, it was equally comfortable, spacious, clean and well maintained with a window and balcony that overlooks nature. The lady owner is a very nice and friendly person who can speak Mandarin and English. She can also recommend places to visit and provide directions well. The owner speaks English and is a good chef (I missed his Japanese cuisine very much!). My dinner experience was good not only because of the great food but also the introduction of each and every dish by the lady owner. It helped me to understand what I was eating. What I appreciated much about the stay is the hospitality of the owners. Being a sole traveller, the lady owner had took special care of me, such as loaning me her phone FOC to make international call back home when my mobile phone was out, recommended me places to visit in the limited hours of stay I could afford and given me a free ride to the village. We had a good chat throughout and I will definitely come back again with friends! (Ps: For dog lovers, you will be glad because there are 2 friendly dogs to accompany you but for those who are not fond of dogs like me, they can be too friendly to handle…haha…)

Check in reception is on the totally different location, about 10-15 minutes drive from the hotel so it's best to rent a car to stay here. Accessing to the hotel is a little confusing since the road is quite narrow and you need to go through dark passage and up the hill. Though the room is quite large for two comparing to other stays in Japan. Separate living area and bedroom with hot shower, kitchenette and washing machine. Great stay overall!!

Hotel staffs are really helpful. As i booked through Agoda for 2 adults & 1 child, but when i arrived hotel they only received information for 2 adults from Agoda. And if i need to check in, i need to pay for a child. So the hotel staffs called up to Agoda and talk to them about it, after dealing for an hour finally i do not need to pay anything, but check in without any hassle. The best part is the Free public bath in Mahaina Hotel, and they provide free shuttle bus for that. Definitely need to rent a car if you are in North part of Okinawa. Asked the receptionist for help for restaurant recommendations. Nevertheless, the sunset view n beaches are stunning! Drive to Kouri Island for breathtaking view and snap lotsa photos!

I checked in very late at night as I missed a bus from aquarium but luckily get a taxi there. Still the husband host didn't complain about that and check me in. The flat itself is super nice with proper living room in tatami, kitchen and dining table, balcony and wide window in view of the landscape and far the seaview too. Bedroom two beds, very clean toilet and bathroom even with washing machine. Everything looks brand new!!! Just one remark for all's reference, the location is at a small hill, supermarket and other store are far far away. If you travel alone has to get prepared. I can tell this hotel is perfect for travelers with car. Just at the entrance of highway to aquarium. When I checked out and got back to the hotel for my next spot, the host even offer me a cup of red bean ice for free made by the grandpa. They are lovely family, I enjoy my stay here very much!!!!

I reserve here with cheaper price than the other hotels. But it was the best of best stay. I booked an oceanview room (up to 7 person) and it was not a room, it was a house(even 2 storied). It was clean, bedding was cozy, air conditioner&heater worked well, amenities like towel, dishes are enough, and the host was good&nice. We enjoyed a bbq. (meat from motobu restaurant/ food from the mart - 5min. by car) We could have it at the terrace, but it was windy and somewhat cold so the host let us have it their own terrace with windbreak. We liked the traditional style room, so it was perfect choice. I took a walk in the morning, it was very good. I would stay here if I visit Okinawa again. Great place to stay while in Motobu. Sure, some parts of the hotel (concrete balconies, pink railings) look like they're from a different decade, but the rooms and lobby are bright, clean and well maintained. The indoor pool and onsen were good, but standard. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade when we checked in (possibly because a large group came on the second night?). That was a really nice bonus. Also really nice that they give you a gift shop voucher if you opt out of room cleaning. Our room rate didn't include breakfast, so we made sure to buy some pastries the night before because there wasn't anything within walking distance. There's a small street behind the hotel with a great izakaya though -- we went there twice! One small disappointment was that the Tour Desk never had anyone working when we walked by. I didn't realize that reservations were required for many activities in Motobu. Had I known, I would have asked the front desk staff for more assistance ahead of time.

As per title, I’d never reviewed a 10/10 accom previously but Churaumi is top notch one of the best I’ve ever stayed. It is a spacious super clean room which has everything u needed. The hammock at the balcony is a lovely touch bcoz the view is so good i fell asleep in the hammock looking at the sea. Check in and out is swift. There are some shops restaurants and a Starbucks just opposite. They provide free parking as well! Super value for money and we will def come back!

Nice place, friendly owner. Room comes with washing machine and dry-tumbler, fridge and small kitchen, like a one-room-appartment really. Location is within 10 minutes walking distance of the famous aquarium (which must not be missed!) but rather distant from anything else. Only two restaurants within 15 minutes walking distance; they close at 9pm. Owner speaks very little English, correspondence thanks to Google Translate possible but misunderstandings are hard to avoid (my pick-up at the harbour did not work out, I had to transfer by taxi)

Spacious room with breathtaking seaside view. Love the private beach behind the hotel. It's great to have toll-free laundry and washing machine in the bathroom. Very relaxing stay feeling like home. Need to take out the trash and do recycling by oneself but we did not mind the self-service. Need car drive of about 5min. to the nearest Lawson and Aeon market where we can buy lunchbox and delicous fritters and Okinawa Donuts Sata Antdagi. Check-in is required before 7PM latest. Will definitely choose here for our next trip to Okinawa.

Beung able to cook, clean, use a computer, do laundry, and more was great, especially at this price. We had more than enough space and checking in was easy. The staff there were friendly and spoke excellent english. The beds were comfy, the bath was nice. The only complaint I could have is that we had a little ant problem when we left trash in a trash can, but that was easily fixed. Great place!

This family-owned Hawaii-style restaurant cum guest house is so charming and the people running it are so helpful, caring and such great chefs! We arrived the location really late due to delays in our flight and all the logistical issues. When we arrived at guest house, the restaurant was already closed but the owners, after knowing we had not have our dinner, reopened their kitchen and cooked what we requested and gave us our orders. It was such a memorable, scrumptious dinner and such a kind gesture on their part. I believe they are getting ready to sleep for the day...but they went all out to render us the dinner nevertheless. Amazing service attitude and we will certainly recommend to our friends and families to go it they wish to find a place to stay in the North of Okinawa! Location-wise it was fantastic for us. The drive from the airport took about 1h 45 mins but after we settled at Ma-Blue, the visits to the famous Churaumi Aquarium, Butterfly Park, Tropical Dream Center, Ocean Park and other attractions were a breeze as they were just like 10-minute drive to those attractions. My family loved the guest house, enjoyed the food, the room with a viewing window and what lovely memories we have made! A big thank you to the owner and family for their excellent hospitality and we really look forward to a return! :D

Please note that Motobu-Cho is 1-1/2 hours by taxi, which will cost you around ¥20,000; 2 hours by bus for ¥2,000. Bus stop is 5 mins away. If you aren’t driving, you might want to consider this. Otherwise, the hotel is nice. I especially love that it is walking distance to the Aquarium, botanical garden et al. Also love their daily bento breakfasts. Room is spacious and clean and it is close to many restaurants. Motobu is a quiet town and everything g closes around 10pm.

We were late arriving the hotel. The hotel staff made a mistake in managing the booking so the hotel was overbooked at that night. Two staff were very sorry and nice enough to put us in a house which is a bit away from the hotel. They also took us to a Japanese pub and buy us sashimi from other places simply because one of us wants to eat that night. We had great time! THere is a country music pub next to the main office of the hotel, very tranditional and impressive.

We are a group of cyclist and stayed there for 1 night. The apartment that was being assigned to us is nice with 4 rooms,1 living room and kitchen as well. They got washing machine as well. The location is a bit far and with no street light at night. (Around 1.5km from the main street; mainly uphill.....) It's ok if you drive / cycle there. But definitely not recommend if you don't drive! The main problem with this apartment / area is WORM! There are ENDLESS worms in front of the apartment / inside the apartment.....which is horrible...They come from nowhere..... If ...if you can't tolerate this. please don't book!

First of all, this hotel is the best for us among 3 hotels during our trip. Because the staff was really kind, this covers all pros. We were all satisfied and have good memory from here. Pros.
