Fun family trip ”
Traveled as a group of 10 with three children in the group ( ages 5, 13, and 17). They have a kids pool and playground so the 5 year old was happy. The 17 year old was able to hang out in the restaurant and club scene with the adults so, he had the time of his life! There wasn't anything stellar for the 13 year old Typical teen angst but not any slight to the resort. Overall we had a fantastic time and were very happy with the resort. We have stayed at other places in the area and this was our favorite with this configuration of guests. We had two of the one bedroom units and one two bedroom unit. Everyone slept well and we loved having a full service kitchen. It was stocked with all of the basic dishes and cooking utensils we needed. Also, felt safe on the property at all times Gated/ monitored entrances prevent non-guests from wandering around. Of course you still keep your eyes open just for common sense, but we never had any issues with safety or security . We had a rental car, too. No trouble finding parking on the property. Exceptional”
My first time to your resort was a wonderful experience, therefore, my friends and I are already planning to return. . I truly enjoyed the pools because I could walk down into the water and easy for short people to enjoy. The beauty of your grounds were breath taking and allowed us to take pictures for great memories. You have perfect lightening at night as well. . Here are some concerns and recommendations: I had difficulty with room ph and wifi which was never fixed. If I needed anything I would have to walk to main desk. There was no comforter for pull out bed. The restaurant chairs couldn't accommodate thick women. You also need an eatery closer to hotel near pool area, support staff to help those with mobility or physical challenges to go across or waiter staff to bring food and drinks near hotel. Thank you

Lovely place”
Really nice hotel and location is great - easy access to the beach and to the bars & restaurants of St Lawrence Gap. Only real issue was with the hotel restaurant - menus promoted various breakfasts with relevant pricing but we never seemed to get anything other than a buffet - and they doubled the prices on a number of days (Christmas/New Year period) without any warning to the customers - first we’d find out is when we got the bill.

Divi Soutwinds was a clean comfortable hotel and at a great price. It is located on St Lawrence Gap, so you're a short walk from entertaining nightlife. The restaurant's service however was very slow and a bit expensive.

Good choice for a utilitarian stay”
Staff were very nice , location is perfect a decent little gym on site too. It s a spread out resort with a charmless pool vibe . Still , it totally works if you just need a very good beach and a decent clean room . I would stay here again .

Ok...could be improved”
Stayed one night. Understanding the hotel is having to make changes as a result of Covid, but I believe some things need to be revised. For example, after spending 12 hours travelling and having arrived to the hotel extremely exhausted, the taxi driver placed my very large bags at the very entrance of the hotel. I then had to drag them along the foyer to Reception. I was really struggling as I have body injuries. I asked for a Bell Man to be advised that due to COVID, assistance with my bags was not available. It was eventually worked out and I received some assistance, to which I was grateful for. I believe this needs to be looked into too. 2. If you are a business traveller this may not be the best hotel as their restaurant opens at 7:30AM instead of the customary 6:

Terrible room”
The first issue was having to wait almost an hour to get into my room due to it 'not being ready', even though my partner and I reached at the stipulated time. The appliances were rusting terribly and there was grime in areas such as the bathroom, extremely unappealing. Moreover, the bed was creaking very loudly and the light in the bedroom was not working. Great location, but the room that I had, in particular, was very disappointing. Overall, would not recommend it.

Perfect location in the Gap”
Divi Southwinds is perfectly located in the heart of St Lawrence Gap, with great proximity to Dover Beach. Unfortunately there was no wifi in the beach villas where we stayed - hopefully this is resolved before I return in January!

Great location”
Good hotel and the location is probably one of the best in the island. A 5 min walk away from St Lawrence Gap (bars and restaurants), bus stop just outside the hotel where you can catch a public bus or a minivan every 2 mins towards Bridgetown and the north/west or towards Oistins (Friday night fish fry), access to a decent beach in front of the hotel incl. sunbeds, walking distance from other beaches, etc. Pool is good, good facilities altogether. Room was very nice and spacious. Before arriving, we sent an email to ask for one of their renovated rooms (they also have older rooms). They said they couldn't guarantee, but when we reached we did get a renovated room. Only negatives were: 1. Check in is supposed to be from 4 pm. We arrived around 5 and had to wait for ~30 mins as our room wasn't ready. 2. There is a loose rooster in the hotel grounds. Why would host a rooster in a place where people pay you to sleep? 3. There was a huge ugly hole on the wall in our bedroom.

Cannot fault this hotel for location on St Lawrence Gap. Is a bit dated. Restaurant is in a fabulous beach location.

Just can’t seem to get it right ”
Pros: location, mins from the Gap makes it a prime spot Cons: WiFi was out the entire trip, had to go to the lobby or the restaurant for usage. The ENTIRE duration (8 days) of my trip, staff wasn’t very accommodating or communicative about the issue, just “we’re working on it”. I don’t have words for the inconvenience and frustration I experienced this past week. In addition, they shut the pool down at 7pm, and still haven’t fixed the bar, and they play no music out there. I went to have breakfast and was told I couldn’t have a refill...for a $3 cup of coffee, the menu is limited and overpriced. This place has so much potential and they just fall flat. Maybe it was a one time occurrence, can’t say for certain. It was my 3rd time staying but I won’t be back. There are other resorts that offer far more of a enjoyable experience...with WiFi

Across a one lane street from the beach”
The hotel is clean friendly has a kitchen, pool, mini golf, and gym. It is a quiet hotel away from the beach however its a 2 min walk. Beach has shade which is a huge bonus because you can sit there all day. Lots of chairs and space. Water can be wavy so bring a noodle if you can, I am looking for adult water wings lol
