Overall excellent”
I and my daughter are happy to stay in Donatela. Nice cozy ambience, good cuisine, friendly and efficient service... feels at home immediately. Love the nature setting, seeing different species like gecko and different kinds of frogs, waking up in the morning by the sound of chirping birds, watching the horses and ponies grazing the grass, enjoying the sight of the humble fishermen in their boats by the cliff of Paprika restaurant. Nice local/exotic fruit bearing trees. Well maintained surroundings. Nice accommodations of Ifugao inspired villas. Well thought of designs of the villas, very detailed.. May be few distance away from the Alona Beach but was all worth it... The price of menu in Paprika is competitive to the ones offered along Alona Beach, so worth the gastronomic experience. Quality cuisine at competitive price (to Alona Beach front restaurants) It is where we will stay the next we visit Bohol.

Donatela hotel is good. It has big park, and customer has thier own House. But the location is a little bit far from main beach, and main market. If you want to stay at only your Hotel, It is really good for you. But If you want to enjoy Bohol, I don't know.. It's good or not.

We stayed for 3 nights with our extended families. The villas are beautifully decorated. The restaurant has a great view of the ocean. The complimentary breakfast was excellent everything made fresh. The pool was beautiful and never crowded. The resort also offers free shuttle service to Alona beach which was very convenient. The private beach area was absolutely stunning! Loved our stay!

We enjoyed our stay a lot! My daughter loved her pony ride experience. The family villa is very spacious, its really for a family. The resort is well maintained despite the downturn in the tourism industry. Physical distancing wont be a problem because at 7.5hectares in area and with each villa well separated, Im sure you will find your own private place and space during the entire length of your stay.

The best vacation by far! My shout out goes to the Resort Manager, Fides. She and her staff was more that caring and accommodating, on the one night that me and my girl had a little too much fan at the. The wine got faster to our head than we anticipated, and all hands were on deck to help us. My stay with you guys will be unforgettable.We will be back!

Weekend at the Family Villa”
Stayed here for 4d3n this Holy Week weekend at their Family villa with our kids. Requested for a garden picnic setup as surprise bday welcome for my husband and they executed it very well. Love that each villa has its own private garden where we did our Easter egg hunt with the kids. Daily breakfast offerings were delicious. Resort is well maintained, rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfy! (Insect repellants are a must though) Smaller villas had their own pools but our 2 bedroom villa didn’t have one, maybe put a bathtub at least? Anyway, kids enjoyed meeting the mini zoo residents, swimming in the pool and overall we had a lovely stay.

Pros: beautiful resort, lot of stuff to explore, kid friendly, very well maintained, very accommodating. Cons: rough road leading to property, cell coverage is spotty, WiFi was having issues, tours and food are expensive compared to local area.

The villa is really good, we had a blast! I haven't heard birds calling in early morning in ages, without any other noise. It's really quiet at night, definitely a good choice if you want to get away from city lives. We all wish we could stay longer for this holiday. However the paths to this villa is quite rough, and it's a bit far from Alona beach. But they provide free shuttle buses to Alona beach, one shift every 2 hours, you will see the timetable at reception. This is our favorite one out of all hotels we stayed on the trip. Overall is excellent!

Pros: Suites are fabulous. Well kept and all around first class. Cons: No beach, restaurant is sub par, no refreshments at the pool, very difficult to get a smile from the staff (especially at the restaurant).
