Perfect Place To Stay”
Just near the Sandanbeki Cave within 5mins walk. The owner is also very friendly and kind too! The hostel is a one of its kind with various objects from the 1960s for display and the food was absolutely delicious and worth the value! Overall, I recommend anyone who's looking for a place to stay at to book a room here!

What a nice host in such a nice place!”
We had a great time in Shirahama thanks to our host (the owner) and Sandanya. Unfortunately my gf got tonsillitis, but our host got his car and took us to the hospital and helped explain everything. He helped us out with a lot of other stuff as well making us feel very much cared for. His english is'nt excellent, but more than good enough. He has an excellent selection of wine and his expertise is a hidden gem in the most unlikely of places. The rooms are japanese style but with good space. The toilets, kitchen and showers are all very clean and comforting. He cooks small meals. They're not fantastic, but good enough if you don't feel like going out. AC is charged by the hour, something which might cost you if you like it very cold, but he was friendly enough to start us off with some coins. The house used to be his grandfathers and now fathers souvenir shop. The downstairs now looks like a cafe and souvenir shop with a vintage feel. It's a bit strange, but also cosy. If you go to Shirahama, you have to stay here!

Quiet travelling”
Sandanya is at the last bus stop. It is just in front of a tourist spot called Sandanbeki. Staying in Sandanya, you can enjoy further discount to Sandanbeki and a hotspring with inquiry to the Owner. The minshuku is definitely clean and nice. Owner is well servicing me. I would say that this is a best minshuku. Food cooked by the owner is delicious too. However, the area around is quiet and not much things on my travel date. But there is bus available taking me around with a fare or special rate ordered at Shirahama Bus Station.

The Dormitory Sandanya Guest House is a traditional japan room style, very nice of owner and helpful. The location is very good, 50 Meter walk to Sandanbeki, 400 Meter walk to Senjojiki, and bus stop No.24 is on the front of Guest house. The food that make by owner is very delicious. It should be a 5 Start of Hostel.

We enjoyed our stay with Sandanya very much. The Sandanbeki lookout, is right at the back of the Sandanya, offers a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. For those who do not drive dining in Sandanya is the best choice. As far as I know, Mr. Kawaguchi san is a certified Japanese cuisine chef and he prepares very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests at very reasonable price. I would recommend curry beef rice, miso soup with potato croquette and soba.

Felt like family ”
Kawaguchi-San was most helpful and able to guide us on things to do or see in Shirahama. He speaks good English and has a very interesting background as a sommelier as well! The facilities were clean and more than adequate for cooking meals in the kitchen and having hot plate meals in the common area. The washer and dryer were truly appreciated by my familyand we liked the eclectic design and decor of the common area. Ample parking is available if you drive but if you don't drive multiple public transport options are available from Osaka or large towns near Shirahama.

Sandanya is located near the famous attraction. And it is supported by comprehensive transportation in Shirohama. Just a 10-sec walk from the bus station. Although there is no hot spring facility in Sandanya, the host is nice and can speak English well. I checked in late and there was no restaurant in business. The host offered simple dinner sets (cooked by himself). Keys are provided to lock up the room and I felt comfortable and secure. I booked a private room for 2 nights and I loved the smell of tatami mattress. If I visit Shirohama, Sandanya is definitely my first choice.

Great location, facilities and cozy”
Great location with buses running late till midnight just outside the hostel, so while there's no catering outlets nearby, you have plenty options, e.g. eat out and travel back late, eat at the hostel at a very cheap price, or simply cook or have shabushabu at the common area! The kitchen has every thing you need! The hostel was only 20mins bus away from the station/ fish market, with a 24hr convenience store 5mins walk away. We had the block to ourselves, hence, we didn't have any noise issue. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Love this place, would love to stay longer if Shirahama has more to explore.

Location is good, just behind 三段璧 100m can be reach. I go with my mother and we stay in a bedroom is quite big and very clean. It don't hv restaurant around there .( actually in whole Shirahama not many restaurant u can find ) So we hv dinner and breakfast in mishuku. the owner homemade their Japanese food for us and it's sample and nice. The owner can speak fluent english and he is weclome to tell u every attractions spots u want to go. 三段璧&千疊敷 is just around here. very easy to find it !

Nice dorm to stay”
It was a wonderful experience to stay in this dormitory. We could experience in the local Japanese style guest house & sleep on the floor (tatami style). The owner is very friendly & helpful during our stay. Location is super, it is just opposite to the bus station. The dormitory is very clean & well decor. It is highly recommended to those who love to enjoy the local Japanese life.

This guest house is located just 1 mins away from the tourist attraction - Sandanbeki. You can see a sky full of stars at night! (Depends on the weather though) You can get there by local bus as the bus stop is just next to the guest house. The hosts are very friendly and communicable in English. The room and sheets were very clean. What you should know is that this guest house is quite far away from town, so you may want to get everything done before the sun goes down. However, you can get to taste the food made by hosts for a reasonable price. I'd recommend this place for people who are looking for a cozy place to stay.

Guesthouse owner is really kind and helpful. He would be helping for planning trip and telling you the transportation time that you can capture very moment in Shirahama, it is really good. Location is good that near bus stop, there is a hot spring nearing that you can take bus to go.

A good Japanese style guest house”
The keeper is very friendly. The Japanese Style room is larger than most room-type hotel. The guest house is just located near a famous sight-seeing spot. Free public parking and bus terminal just opposite the guest house.

I had a really happy stay in this guest house. The guest house was tidy and clean. And the owner of the guest house was super friendly and patient that he gave us two free drives to the sightseeing points nearby. I really can't thank you enough for that.

we spent wonderful nights at this lovely house. Kawaguchi-san is a kind, helpful local guy with big smile. His wife is very nice too. I like to chat with them, and it's a good way to know the history of this house, and the small town. I highly recommend the Adventure World, the beach, hot spring and seafood market. You can always reply on Kawaguchi-san to recommend your trip. We'll be back soon.

Enjoy staying at traditional Japanese house ! Comfortable and well equipped! We take only 2mins walk to have a wonderful cliff sightseeing! The couple owners are nice and helpful! Don’t miss their food -tasty shrimp noodle and clam soup! Yummy!
