      Clean, Central location, fantastic breakfast”

      The hotel is located about a 4 minute walk from Matsue station. Rooms are small, but that’s expected for Japan. They were very clean, and I found the bed very comfortable. Their breakfast was exceptionally delicious! At only 1000 yen, it was an absolute bargain. Along with individual buffet style dishes, many foods could be ordered freshly made from the kitchen. I highly recommend their “sanma gohan” (rice with pacific dairy).

      We requested softer pillows as the first ones were very hard. The mattress was also very firm. We understand this may be a Japanese preference. The fruit and coffee on arrival was a nice touch and the noodles at night. Very positive stay.

      Good value for money, great breakfast”

      Pros: -good value for money. Booked twin room, larger than average room size -great breakfast, good variety of choices including local food -clean room -plenty of carpark space, not limit in entry and exit the carpark each day -quite near Matsue JR Station, 5 mins walk Cons: - no public bathroom (stated clearly in the hotel description) - carpark is slightly difficult to find, it is at the back of the hotel, there is two carpark, one of the carpark is a few meters away from the hotel but seems no directions in the website.

      Hotel foods”

      Usually if you know there is a station near by and even there was a Starbucks at the station ! We were not planning to have one 1000 yen breakfast at the hotel! There was a free coffee and tea available at the first floor, on top they provide late Noodle so called “yonaki soba” simple ramen with but so tasty with clear soup! We desired to have breakfast in there! Small shell soup and rice which we never experienced, so good and we had buckwheat noodle with shrimp and other tempura on it! Taste was so good each one of them. If you want to eat western foods, boiled eggs , omelette, French bread available!

      A decent business hotel a few blocks from the Matsue Trainstation”

      This hotel was pretty good! The room was clean and up to everything you would imagine a Japanese business hotel would be but it is the only Dormy Inn that I have found without an onsen. It's kind of the Dormy Inn trademark. I would stay here again if I was in Matsue though. It's in a decent location and everything went pretty well.
