Favourite hotel chain in Japan”
We love our Dormy Inn experiences, this one as well. Location is a tad far if one is lugging luggage but the hotel does have a half-hour shuttle service, which stops in front of the Royal Host restaurant.

Good budget hotel”
Dormy Inn is a good budget hotel choice near Niigata Station. The rooms are a bit small and sterile, but that’s often the case in Japan. The rooftop onsen (hot spring) is great though and would be enough on its own for me to recommend this hotel.

Overall it’s best choice for us”
3 nights experience with dormy inn No WiFi connected but after letting the staff know a router was given us to use in our room 🙌🏻👏🏻. MENS onsen on the entire top floor was impeccable 👍👍👍👍👍as for the LADIES sorry it’s not as good the minus 50% of the standard (facilities & size of the MENs onsen) & it’s on the 2nd floor next to the restaurant. Breakfast buffet choices were ok only tried 1 day out of the 3 nights stay. Felt a bit uneasy with the staff watching when I had my 2nd helping of warm food miso soup & spam ham, salmon with rice. (Since my 1st tray was just bread & yogurt ). I think I prefer to eat elsewhere for ¥1500 per person. Free ramen from 2130-2300hrs. Free yummy hot coffee at the entrance. Free shuttle bus to the Niigata station (limited hours) Overall it’s still the best choice for our 3 nights stay. (1 night at the okura)

Excellent Stay”
Simply excellent. Dormy Inn is located a 10 minute walk from Niiagata Train Station and bus interchange. Breakfast is great, provides free coffee 24/7, offers free ramen for supper, has a really nice onsen. Provides free shuttle service to Niigata Train Station as well. Staff are really courteous and helpful, as are most Japanese people you'd enconunter

My stay was fantastic. ”
I had a great stay. The staff spoke enough English that I could understand what they wanted and they knew what I wanted or needed fairly accurately. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and is rather easy to find. From the train station, you walk straight on the main road to the first intersection, where you will see the stairs that go above the road. Here, you will turn right and look for a green sign about 5 minutes down the road on your right. It is a bit hard to find but it is not too difficult. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and for the price, I do not know if there is a better deal in Niigata City. I was traveling solo and am female, so safety is always my primary concern. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

A tad older but service good”
The service was efficient and professional, as we've come to expect from the Dormy Inn brand. The location was a little further from the station than say, Nagano, at about 850 meters (about a 750 Yen taxi ride or 15 minute walk since you have to go all the way around the station from the south exit). The sauna was disappointingly not particularly clean, as there was very obvious grime along the bottom end of the metal poles. The room was a little smaller than some other Dormy Inns we've been to and the in-room bathroom was definitely dated, with yellowed fixtures.

Simple but good hotel”
Have stayed in another dormy inn before, so I chose dormy inn again. Dormy inns provide small rooms but the room is adequate and the best thing is the hotel has onsen and also self-service laundry. Take note however that the map given by their website is not accurate; it's better to check your google map.

Great little budget hotel”
This felt more like accomodation for a one bedroom flat than a hotel. There was even a stove in the room! Inside the building there is an open rooftop which is the strangest hotel atmosphere I have experienced in Japan. So it was a bit quirky but not in a bad way. All in all everything about the room and staff was very nice and helpful for the price. I would definietly reccomend this hotel for a single traveller looking for a cheap few nights near Niigata city centre. I didn't eat at the hotel so don't know how good that was, the menus looked OK but I was just out all day.

It is quite a good experience I had heard a lot from friend about service and good hot spring bath As we are onsen lover and travel all over Japan for great Olsen experience I am quite impress about Ibsen in business hotel like this that can match conventional hot spring elsewhere

Fantastic place nearby the JR train station!”
This was by far the nicest place I have stayed in Japan (from about six different hotels). When I visit Niigata again, I will try to stay here again. It is affordable and it is clean and even includes a fantastic onsen. I was very impressed with this spa as it is huge and has two of them. The rooms is very comfy, clean and it comes with many amenities and a very modern room. I really enjoyed my stay there and only wish we had more days there. it is great!! loved it very much!

Onsen hotel ”
When we are in Niigata Japan we had a bad snow storm. Fortunatelly, our room had a free internet and there was a nice and big 24hours Onsen, we didn't get bored even we barely could go around the city. We loved the super vanding machines ! ( snacks, drinks and fresh milk )
