Best Hostel, Best Staff”
This hostel is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at!!! The place is beautifully designed. The beds in the dorm are comfortable. I love the Munchies area downstairs. Everything is super clean. The staff is awesome. Special thanks to Shiori and Masa for being amazing while I was there for my birthday. I personally love the location. It's right at the end of the red bus line. Which means you aren't in the heart of town, but can easily get into town if you rent a car or get the unlimited bus pass (recommended). I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Kawaguchiko!!! Also, try the ZaZen meditation while you're there.

the location isn't so convenient to arrive if you don't have a car, but the hostel offers free shuttle you can visit lake Kawaguchi and have a perfect view of Mt. Fuji easily from the hostel it's pretty clean and cozy here, and the price is definitely affordable and competitive for this area the staffs are also friend and willing to help you with all kinds of problems nice place to stay for your holiday at lake Kawaguchi

Staff were exceptional, they would ensure everyone was comfortable and even hosted some events! Very close to Oishi Park which has a great view of Mt. Fuji. Overall I would definitely come back!

Most memorable stay”
It’s a newly build and homey hostel. Staffs are very friendly and shows great level of hospitality. Bed is small but clean and comfortable. But do note that it is located at the end of the red line bus which is oishi park. So at night there’s not much to di since it’s in remote area. But for me it’s an exchange for relaxation inside the hostel and they provide movie night everyday. They also provide free shuttle to kawaguchiko station every morning and afternoon. Shout out to Shota for being extra kind in his service! I will come back in the future!

Nice place to stay ”
Nothing to complain about really. It was nice in general but if you need sth early in the morning from the staff you better ask it the day before cause they don’t show up till after 8 am. Also the bikes are not the best.

The game room”
It would be nice if the TV in the game room can also be used to watch movies or even just the local channels. Other than that, it was a very nice experience. The location was perfect! You can see Mt Fuji by the window. I’m thinking of coming back.

Chic Modern hostel 3 min. From Oishi Park bus stop #20 Red Line”
Hostel is new, modern, and clean. Just 3 mins. walk from bus#20 red line Oishi park. Easy to find. The hostel has nice surrounding, it has Food&Snacks& selection of Alcohol. Room is comfy with A/C or Heater. Shower room is very clean with Amendity. The a big movie screen Hall room for activity. Breakfast is minimal but good nutrients & fulfil. Definitely will come back! Con: no convenient stores around.

Frustrating experience with staff”
First of all, please note that the hostel requires you to check in by 10pm. We arrived at 1130pm because of bad weather and only realised this when we opened the agoda app to check (connectivity wasn’t great on the road). So by the time we arrived, the whole place was dark. One of the guests informed us that the staff was in a particular room. We knocked on it and could hear shuffling in there but nobody answered the door. We tried for about 20min and eventually called agoda for help. Agoda also tried calling the staff (we heard the front desk phone ring) and eventually told us there was nothing they could do that night and suggest we stay in another accommodation as it was getting late. As I was doing a three point turn out on the narrow street, a male staff came out and stood at the entrance. He was just staring at us and I had to wind down the window and ask if he could let us check in. He said yes. We were relieved but also found it strange that he did not come out when we knocked on his room door. During check in, he said we could park beside the building because of the bad weather, but asked if we could move the car to the designated parking lot the next morning. I agreed and asked what time. He said 8am. I set my alarm for 730am the next day to wake up to move my car. When I went down, I saw the same staff shovelling snow outside the building. I told him that I was going to move my car, to which he replied that it was okay to leave it there. At this point I’m extremely frustrated with this staff’s behaviour but since I was checking out that day I did not wanted to start a fight. However this really ruined our trip to Fujikawaguchiko and left a very bad impression of the area. Also, while I acknowledge that it was my fault for not confirming the check in time, I hope that this important piece of information can be made more obvious to future guests.

Relaxing time to work. ”
The place is great! The super small village vibes were beautiful. During my stay I worked and enjoyed the views when I could. They have one grocery store with limited goods but if you know how to cook you can make plenty meal. The kitchen is great. I really enjoyed working in the game room down stairs.
