Our stay at Doublegem”
We booked the hotel at the last minute and were overall very happy with our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was based in the main hotel building and we dined at breakfast (lunch and dinner were on offer) on the beachfront. The room was spacious, very clean, good AC and with lots of hot running water. The hotel offered boat trips for island hopping excursions and which were reasonably price and comparable to the other offers. The hotel offers accomodation on the beach front (mini bungalows) so you can get beach views if you book early enough. There were building works going on at the time near the bungalows so it may have been a little noisy for a morning lie in. The hotel is a 10 minute taxi ridge away from El Nido town/main beach/boat trip terminal. For this reason the hotel is more out of the way and quiet compared to accomodation there. I loved El Nido and Doublegem and I hope to return there one day!

Making your trip memorable”
My family of seven booked 2 rooms at Doublegem last minute before the peak season of the Holy Week in the Philippines. I was very concerned that we were left with the worst hotel available in El Nido since every hotel I called were booked. What an amazing surprise from the time we arrived on the 27th of March, the hotel manager Gary made every effort to accommodate our needs. The front desk staffs Chiehl and Jifany (??? not sure of spelling), bent over backwards to find us the better rooms that will fit my kids need. We ended up in a room with pool access instead of one with 5 minutes walk to the pool and the beach. The amazing sunset view from the pool is an unforgettable sight. The restaurant foods were exceptional including the free breakfast buffet. The hotel staff ensures that they can make a difference in every little way they can, from refilling your service water to setting your table for breakfast. I plan to come back with my brothers and sisters who did not join me this trip

A real gem. ”
Although Doublegem is not a 5 Star-type hotel, all the hotel staff gave us a 5 star treatment—from the housekeeping and receptionists, to the restaurant service workers, and even the manager Maria. Great value for the money. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. This ocean front resort gives you a breathtaking view of the waters, specially during sunset, giving you the most authentic feel of an island paradise vacation without breaking the bank. Awesome restaurant and bar. The buy-one-get-one drink during happy hour is a plus. Their mouth-watering, stone fire Doublegem Pizza is a must try. We will definitely go back and stay at Doublegem.

This could be our home in El Nido”
We had an amazing 5 days in El nido because of double gem hotel. It was our first time to go to el nido, we never knew what to expect. I must say that when youre actually there, you can see/feel and when you compare the hotels in the area, you will feel that you are in the best one. The view from the pool with every sunset is breathtaking.They have a restaurant/bar which is affordable and you dont need to go in town to eat, its worth the price. The staffs are so friendly, warm,and give excellent service, especially jason who tour us around the hotel and very instructive. The rooms are cozy and was kept clean. We are definitely coming back to el nido and definitely gonna be going back to stay at this hotel.

Wonderful experience - way beyond expectations”
Wonderful team: Ms. Maria - GM, Louis the Chef, Restaurant Staff: Wen and Berna. Front Desk: Rachel, Joelyn, Jeric and Jiffant, Location: Located just on Corong-corong beach, we were picked up from the airport approx. 15 mins drive away. The hotel is around 5 minutes from the main El Nido town, easily accessible by tricycle and costs 20-25 peso/person. Check-in: Checked in by Rachel. Recommended some of the island tours which picked us up from the hotel. Jeric, Joelyn and Jiffant were also attentive to our needs. Rooms: (Beachfront double room, 2nd floor) Clean, quiet at night, airconditioned, featured a large flat screen television, safe box, kettle, complimentary water. Large walk-in shower, towels and toiletries were provided. The rooms were turned over each afternoon. Restaurant/Bar: Breakfast was simple but nice, staff prepared omelettes and pancakes. Could do with some fresh juice. The food was excellent, extremely large portions.

Finally, a quiet and clean place in El Nido”
Pros - quiet room (205). Rooms facing the street may still be noisy. Beach view rooms were great. Great water pressure in the shower with hot water and it didn’t smell like so many other places in El Nido. Nice big bed, little firm but the pillows made up for that. Good Aircon. Great pool. Wonderfully helpful staff. Decent breakfast, better than other places we stayed. Overall, we stayed in places that were half the price but either had to book another hotel while still paying for the original either because of noise and we couldn’t sleep, little to no water pressure, or the bathroom smelled terrible and the water coming from the taps couldn’t have be safe. Doubelgem checked all the boxes and was worth every penny. We would definitely stay here again next time.

Excellent Choice for a Memorable Trip”
Our stay in Doublegem Beach Resort was very memorable since this is where I proposed to my soon to be. We stayed for 3 nights and all I can say is the staff was very friendly and attentive, the location is not far from the town proper and the room was big, comfortable and clean. The staff helped me by preparing the food and beachfront treedeck for our dinner where I get to my knees give a ring and popped the question. I will be forever grateful to the owners of Doublegem Beach Resort for being gracious hosts on that memorable day. We will definitely recommend this place to our family and friends. We love the place so much. Our room was very nice and clean, window is big. Sheets and towels smell fresh and cozy. The place is very nice also, with nice views. we will definitely come back. Will also recommend to friends and families. We loved lounging at the beach beds. Beach view was amazing specially the sunset. Its more than worth we paid for. Very convenient going to the beach and also to town. There is on going construction in their area though, but its generally ok, workers are courteous and respectful. Staff are friendly and helpful. They told us resto and pool will be constructed on beachfront soon. Wifi is ok, though sometimes also weak, which happens everywhere in town. its cold there good thing there's hot and cold shower, and also cable tv. We really enjoyed el nido. Till next trip.

Perfect location for watching sunset”
The hotel is NOT centrally located at El Nido town proper, but nestled at Bacuit bay just before coming into the town proper. The hotel has beachfront common area with tree house terrace overlooking the Bacuit bay, perfect for sunset watching. If you wish for quiet retreat with magnificent view, this hotel is for you. The hotel feels new and looks clean, they are expanding their properties around the areas by the beachfront. We've got a room across the street from the beach which comes with hot water and air-conditioning. Staff performance is excellent, they will do anything they can to fulfill your need. They even helped us get our confirmed bus tickets to Puerto Princessa. Food-wise, the breakfast needs a slight improvement as they serve toast but without butter or jam to go with it. In-house dining, not so many options. Other eateries around the hotel is minimal, you need to get a tricycle to go to the town proper if you wish to go to restaurants, café, etc. It is only 10min away though, if you don't mind the distance.

Overpriced, but otherwise good”
We've stayed in similar quality hotels with beachfront locations all over S.E.Asia for consistently about 50% less cost. So Doublegem is horribly overpriced ... but then, so is all of El Nido it seems. Aside from the extremely poor value for money, it is one of the best options in El Nido, so if you're happy to pay for it, then it's a good choice. The view and location is outstanding. The restaurant serves reasonably good food (by Palawan's standards anyway), the staff are excellent (which is not common in Palawan), the pool is great and the rooms are simple but fine.

Small hotel maintaned by good people”
Our stay at this hotel is very much pleasant. We checked in at 11:30 pm after a long and dreary drive from Puerto Princessa. We were greeted by two of the hotel's security personnel. We were prompty escorted to our rooms. We had reservations for two standard rooms. Me and my sister ended up having room 7 that was at the second floor of the hotel. I was gladly surprised that the room is very spacious and tidy. It has a single bed and a queen size bed. The bathroom is also decent in size equipped with a bidet and hot water shower. The room has all the amenities of a hotel room except for a phone. Although I sort of liked it that way. The bed is comfortable. The day after I got the see the hotel grounds. There are still construction happening around the hotel. Honestly, the hotel grounds although neat gave a messy feel because of the constructions. Across the hotel building is were the beach is. There are also constructions happening in that area. They are currently building a hotel annex area which has a beach front view. I could definitely see that if all of these are finished the hotel will be much better. I love the simplicity of the breakfast menu. Considering that we only stayed there for 4 days, having 4 combo breakfast meals as choices is okay. However, if we stayed longer I would definitely want some sort of variety. The kitchen staff are all very nice just like all of the other hotel staff members. All in all, this hotel is definitely commendable. It is a nice place to stay at if you want to feel at home away from home.

The staffs are very friendly, the hotel was new and the owner mingled with renters which is a bonus; the management has no problem in moving my booking as I was screwed by the Municipal of Puerto Princesa for not issuing permit to go to the Underground River on May 4 but Doublegem allowed me to adjust my reservation which saves me one day to see the whole El Nido. It was a great stay.

Great pool and sunset views”
We stayed 3 nights at the Doublegem in one of their Forest Rooms. These are located across the street from the main complex but are very nice rooms. It would have been nice to have one of their ocean/pool view rooms but maybe next time. The room was well appointed and had comfy beds and a nice hot shower. On our first day we had to remind them to make up the room. We also noticed that they didn’t replenish the coffee supplies after the first day nor did they refill the room water bottle or toilet paper stock. Certainly not a deal breaker but small attention to details make a place outstanding and they need some improvement in their housekeeping. Their pool is wonderful and we lounged around it for a whole day. The complimentary breakfast was a nice buffet with a pancake and egg station and of course endless cups of coffee. We also booked 2 tours through their front desk and we satisfied with their service. Doublegem is a nice place to relax and unwind.

Excellent”
We had a very pleasant stay here, the staff were friendly and the service excellent. We stayed in the forest building and the room was clean and comfortable. There is no refrigerator though and while the shower water was hot, there wasn't enough water pressure to have a comfortable shower. The location is great with a short trike ride to El-Nido town and it's a nice walk along the beach to Marimegmeg beach.

Hidden gem, with great views ”
The rooms were really clean, although small. The hotel has one of the nicest views in El Nido. The amenities were good. staff were extremely helpful and organised tours for us easily. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Nido.

Wonderful relaxing place”
My friend and I stayed here for the last day in El Nido. All in all, it's a great place for relaxing. But if you want to go Island hopping, just don't book here. Because it's not at the down town, you need to take a tricycle to the pier. But if you're asking for relaxing, it's your place. The infinity pool is nice, which is in front of the sea. Better look at the sunset at the pool, that's amazing beautiful. Sadly that the room don't have the sea view. But they're building a new building near the pool, so it will have sea-view rooms in the future. The room is good, clean, comfortable and warm water. One more thing, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. :)

The staff made us feel so at home. This location is nice and quiet but close to the hustle of El Nido. The water isn’t so swimable but gorgeous to looks at and the pool is perfect for a dip after a long day of island tours.

It's a nice hotel overall. The beach view isnt as good as the photos but they have massage service by the beach, cheap cocktails during happy hour (100 peso!), a pool. It beats staying at the el nido town area
