Absolute Peace with the Elephants”
It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in the middle of the Dubare Elephant Camp under the stars near the river. We were well taken care of by the staff and had fun visiting and washing the elephants. Also enjoyed the Safari in the jungle. Would definitely recommend the place to anyone who wants to just relax in the lap of nature

If you want to stay within a forest and would love up close and personal interaction with elephants then please go for it. With the package lunch dinner and breakfast included and all were amazing. Also there are several activities like safari, nature walk, elephant bathing and feeding is included. If you are visiting without booking then may have to stand in line and might not get good interaction with elephants. Loved the staff they are friendly and warm. Would visit again.

A perfect getaway!!”
Perfect location isolated far from city life. A suitable stay for nature stay seekers. Food tastes better than top star hotels around! Staff are highly cooperative and polite! When it comes to safari, i would recommend you not to expect wildlife as it is a reserve forest, the vegetation is very dense, which makes spotting animals harder. But trust me, once you go on safari without expecting any wildlife, you will sight almost all the animals out there like elephants, gaur, deers, sambars ( except some highly camouflage animals). And the best part of this expedition is that you get a chance to play with elephants in the morning which is an unique feature of this camp.

The location is amazing , you get a included boat ride crossing to the resort. the staff is very courteous (part of JLR) .They have the entire day planned out , including a jungle safari, nature trail and elephant interaction session. definitely good for a one day visit. totally worth the price.

Excellent location and great food”
Loved every bit of this trip. Our group had elder folks as well as young kids and every one enjoyed every bit of this experience. We were there for 2 nights and would not hesitate to go again just for the ambience and food.

Big room no table ”
No work table for computer. No swimming pool. Expensive hotel. I wish i stayed next hotel on Dubare and went on safari. Food was not ok , too much salt in all curries. Campfire is good. Safari nature walk ok, found good qualities of wild animals on jeep safari.

Expensively priced ”
No swimming pool. Expensive rooms. You get better another resort. You can do activities without staying in this expensive resort. Naphalin balls are not good in rooms corners. Cheap dangerous insecticide is moth balls. Nobody staying more than one or 2 nights. Then over priced without swimming pool.

You pay 10000 rupees for one night. No work table. Food is salty, no taste. Chicken fish is good. Noodles and Rasam is salty. Fish fry has too much salt. Stay outside and come for safari. Safari is very bumpy unable to digest food due , good number of animals found. Staff are good, price is too much.

A fantastic nature retreat!”
One of the best vacations I've ever had. The location is extraordinary. The Jungle lodges people are very humble and always helping. I was traveling with two young kids and they were very accommodative with food requests. The activities are amazing and ofcourse particularly the interaction with elephants. The river, the elephants, the forest, amazing food and the fantastic staff, I do not know what else is needed for an amazing lifetime experience.

Nice place. Good for Families Interaction with Elephant is awesome. Staffs are friendly Negative : 2hrs of Jungle Safari is not great and doesn't worth the time unless you want to spend time on bumpy ride through forest.

Highly Recommended for a truly jungle experience”
I stumbled upon Dubare Jungle Lodge Resort while looking for good accommodations in Coorg / Madikeri. All good hotels were fully booked due to vacation time, but this was available at reasonable price compared to other not so good accommodations. Did some research on youtube, had heard about Jungle Lodges so decided to give it a try. Never regretted my decision. Only wondered why I never tried Jungle Lodges before. Resort is right on the banks of river Cauvery. Right in the middle of the jungle. Have to take a two minute motor boat ride to go across to the resort. This ensures exclusivity to the residents. Cottages: Excellent cottages. Neat and clean, spacious living area, spacious bathroom with hot water geyser. And spacious deck at the back where you can relax any time of the day or night. This is where you can sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of jungle life. Two types of cottages, river facing and jungle facing. Opt for river facing, they have excellent view. Rooms have clean sheets, comfortable beds, one divan, two chairs, coffee table, a kettle (no tea bags though, but they are not needed). I would say these cottages are better maintained than a commercial hotel room. Food: Unexpectedly, excellent food. I read online reviews and wondered if they told the truth. And now I know, it is the truth. Three meals, three tea, one snack, all included in the room rent. All hot meals, kept on charcoal bed to keep it warm for residents and day packers throughout the meal hour. Activities: Can complete all activities in one day, 1.5 hour nature walk at 7am, 2-3 hours interaction with the elephants at 10am, 2 hour jungle safari at 4.30pm. All cost included in the room rent. But do not go for just one night. I would suggest three nights, to really get away from the city and enjoy the jungle, comfortably. You will get a biology refresher course during the nature walk, very knowledgeable staff who take time explaining nature to you. Do not expec
