Ideal for not being close to the city”

The on shift male manager will do his best to help your needs

Dumaguete.. hmmmmm I did not like Dumaguete at all for the following reasons: 1. people everywhere burn rubbish, and cook with fires, so that leaves the whole area with a terrible smokey smell and feel to the air morning and night which locals do not notice.. but if you have asthma, you will find breathing very hard to do in Dumaguete. 2. The boluvarde was over rated - I have seen better Now the review on the Hotel.. Beacuse Of my dislike for Dumaguete it placed a cloud over the hotel ( no pun intended ) The room lock did not work - but was fixed by the male manager ( should have worked in the first place ) Food Average Rooms GOOD TV reception not good Location great for being away from city - terrible if you want to party in city. Over all I would recco this hotel to FILO families who wish budget, that provide all amenities at basic level. The male manage did his best and must be praised for his work.. TIP if they offer you something, ASK is there a cost As in western culture if somebody offers it is FREE.. at this hotel they offer a Natural Spring Spa, which of course you will say yes please... then after you get out your told it is 350 peso.. so watch for the plus plus fees

A memorable stay”

Natural and peaceful surroundings. Big rooms. Friendly helpful staff.

I enjoyed my stay at the Dumaguete Springs Beach Resort. The hotel grounds are lovely and add to the tropical experience. The rooms were clean and big, while the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Quiet locaton, nice garden and pool, good food

The stay was good. They had a beautiful garden with trees, flowers and bushes. There were birds and butterflies in the garden. The pool were of good size surounded by the pool. They served good food and if you asked you would be served in front of your bungalow or by the sea. The staff were very friendly. If you would like to go to Dumaguete there was jeepneys from the mainroad just a short walk from the resort. You cold also go by car or tricycle but that would cost you between 200-500 pesos each way. I do recommend this resort to people that likes nature before the city and likes to hear the sound of birds instead of motobikes.

This place is a Paradise, lovely Oasis.”

It is very secluded and at first you think, where am I going. Then you see the place and say wow, this is great.

i had made reservations to be picked up at the airport and when we arrived, the driver was waiting for us and drove us to the resort. check in was a no hassle and we went streight to our bungalow. a lovely bamboo hut from the outside but inside where all of the conviniences to make this a home. the staff where a extension of a family and we felt very comfortable. due to its lonely location i arranged for a motorbike rental which was done again without a problem. it is difficullt to rate this resort, it depends on the moos and the wishes of the traveler. for us this was paradise, quiet and we did not have the expectations of going to a three star hotel resort and would rate this as a 4 star resort.

The food is not good, compare to the price.

The room of Superior is good, with kitchen, with shower, aircon. Staff is always smiley when you talk with them, and they are willing to give you any help if need. But food is not very good. We stay in this hotel for many nights, except we really do not want to go out, we were trying to eat in Dumaguete city.

Friendly people, quiet

Is a fair way [14km] from Dumaguete. Once there there is little to do outside the resort. If you want a quiet place to sit and read and have a occasional dip in the pool then this is place for you. I was there for 3 days and took all meals drinks etc and total consumables bill was less than $50. Meals were good.

Nice view's and grounds are well keep

The TV & computer down stairs didn't work and couldn't get on the internet. We rented a motorbike to get around, which make it better. It was around 12km from Dumaguete. For the price of one ride to Dumaguete, I was able to rent a motorbike for two days. The upstairs where we stayed, didn't have a full bath or shower, so we had to go down stairs to take a shower.

Friendly and very helpful staff.

Although a little way out of town, about a 20 minute taxi ride, the motel was a delight. Large rooms with full facilities, nice restaurant on site and a pretty swimming pool. Poolside bar.The staff were fabulous, very accommodating, nothing was a bother from the dealing with the suitcases to the personal early morning call.

Swimming pool and close to the beach

Old, run down, limited services.”

I have stayed at 8 different locations in the Philippines during the past 60 days. This place was the worst that I experienced. The resort, and I used a word resort loosely was very run down. I paid for a superior room that was supposed to have a kitchen yet There were no plates, cups, utensils or anything to cook or eat with. There was a stove but I'm not sure if it worked or not. The room was very dated with nothing matching. The food at the restaurant was adequate at best. On the day we left there were no other gassed yet service was nowhere to be found. The resort does not accept credit cards and they did not have change for 1000 peso bills. There are other resorts in Dauin that are much better.

I had 7 nights here. It's far away from the downtown but its'good location if you a diver. Staff are friendly, the swimming pool is not very big but maintained well. Food: not much selection but tastes ok, acceptable. Room&cleaness: basic. PS: there's a dive shop in this resort but they only accept korean. They got all set up table and food stuff so we have to move to a corner for breakfast/lunch which is kind of annoying. Overall it's reasonable price for the stay.

Terrible and Infested with Insects”

The Food was OK

We had a terrible time at this resort which has a really dirty beach as well as rooms that had only been surface cleaned. Cobwebs, dirt, and insects were everywhere, despite their repeated attempts to spray "baygon". The wooden poles are actually infested and when we pointed out the swirling bugs their solution was to put electrical tape on the holes- this was good for about 10 minutes as the bugs broke free soon enough. Our biggest disappointment is that the pictures for this resort are really a "marketing lie". It is impossible to do any swimming or snorkeling in these really dirty waters. Nor would you want to. The rooms are not resort standard by any means, especially not at the prices they are charging. When other day (vs overnight) guests are there, they blast their music in the huts and it reverberates throughout the place. Lastly, the agoda discounted price for a standard room turned out to be the price of their superior room if you book directly. Felt supremely ripped off despite being able to switch to a superior room after our complaint with the promise we would not use the airconditioning.

The hotel is too far from the city. The transportation to the city is very expensive for a little country town. There is no aircon in the room.

The beach at the resort is not attractive. I thought I was booking for a hotel in the city as I book for a hotel and it turned out to be a resort far from the city. The walls of the room is very thin and eveything that is said in the next room can be heard. The drive to the city cost me 800 peso each time for a return trip. There is no aircon in the room.
