Caveat Emptor and The Crooked Staircase”
Let me say that when I booked this hotel, I did not read any reviews, but from the on-line booking service I was aware of the shared bathrooms, the lack of certain facilities, etc. And I was travelling alone, leaving my wife behind with my family. In my 65 years I have extensively travelled around the world, including some 20 years military service, where on exersize you don't have the luxury of porcelain flushing loos, or even courtesey curtains in the shower room. I have lived in dormitories, and shared facilities. This place is not really as bad as is (not) painted but it is not great either. But for a start, the price for its location, is in itself excellent value for money .. two minutes from the major Underground Station, and the Earls Court Exhibition Centre. I was put on the top floor ... a tough climb for an OAP like myself, and once installed, decided to read the reviews, and start to write mine. Well, i am going to disappoint some of you doom-mongers from "The End of the World is Nigh Brigade" that I did not see, let alone hear one miserable mouse, there was no mould nor mildew in the bathrooms! I was hopnig to find a dirty T-shirt or two, and take them home to replace those borrowed by my grandchildren, but :No". I went to buy some WC paper from reception, only to be told it was already in the bathrooms. And I waited for ages to see who this women was offering services for cash; but she didn't show her face (or whatever else it was she was supposed to show!) either. There was evidence of work being undertaken (in fact, the website also said so), A plumber was present with his silicone gun. There was evidence of fresh paint, and polyfilla. Vacuum cleaners littered the staircase. I would go again, but not on the top floor, and not with my wife, that is true. And the young lady receptionist was excellent!

For the price and what you get in central London is amazing.

Would not recommend”
The accommodation was located near an undergound, which was perfect. However, we weren't informed that we were expected to check in at another hotel when arriving late at night, even though we disclosed the arrival time with our reservation. The staff in that hotel and the Earls Court Garden Hotel were not very welcoming, during checkout the lady was on the phone and did not say a word to us. Our room was located just above the tracks of the underground (many of them), resulting in sleepless nights because of the noise. We were not informed about this. The bed base was old and crooked and the mattress was thin, the springs stuck out. This was also not very encouraging for a good nights rest. Even though it was a relatively cheap stay, we would have liked to be informed of the underground under our window. The bed was horrible, this was not acceptable.

Bad choice ”
Accomodation in the centre, very close to underground. The hotel itself is awful. Very dirty, old destroyed rooms, dirty bathroom, underground trains goes in front of the window from early morning, not good place for sleeping. The whole hotel is dirty, awful and disgusting. It doesn't cost for the prize, even it's cheap. Not recommend.

OK”
They're friendly, our room was in the basement - not pretty. You get what you pay - LOCATION! So if you're priority is to be as little at the hotel as possible and enjoy London (as I did) it was acceptable

Very good”
Can't really complain.......the location was awesome, easy to find, the room was clean, front desk welcoming, but my room was tiny. This made it feel a little uncomfortable for two people. We could not open our luggage. A solid 3.5 out of 5 for me.

My room was right next to the train track so I was up all night. So check this before you book. ”
My room was tiny and if you’re claustrophobic you wouldn’t like it. But for a last min deal I can’t complain.

You can listen and feel the trains”
It's right next to the train track, so you can actually feel them passing thru. We checked in after 11pm after a day out and we had to pick our keys up at another hotel (5 mins walk away), and somehow they messed it up by not delivering our keys to the other hotel. So we had to wait ~20 mins before they got it sorted out.

the dirtiest place i have ever stayed in - avoid”
the photographs on the internet do not resemble the hotel. it is dirty every where, vermon traps under the bed, the mattress was disgusting, the power cables had joins in them and covered with tape, two cables wired into one plug, the toilet was disgusting and the seat was broken the shower was filthy and the carpet was filthy and badly needed cleaned. the curtains were like rags hung up to keep the sun light out only and you could see into the room from the outside. i had a triple room there is no space between the beds, i had a kettle, tea, coffee sugar and milk - no cups this hotel would not pass any health inspection or any electrical safety test .

near tube st”
when we 1st checked in we were given a very small room. we complain as it is not suitable as we can't even walk in the room. Everything is so compact. So they changed to a bigger room after that. At least there was space to walk

health hazard”
Agoda please remove this 'hotel' from your listings. My worst experience ever. Room was dirty. Bathroom mouldy. Broken pedestals. Broken bed springs. Room had an awful stench. Room was noisy from nearby train line, as well as being able to hear other guests from the rooms above via creaking floor/ceiling boards. I refused to stay there and demanded a refund from reception. They were unable to give me one and said the manager would be in in the morning. In the morning I was told the manager is at another of their hotels and will not be coming. They could only call head office for me. However, head office staff are only available from 10:30am. I then had to fill in a form and was asked to send pics of what I was unhappy with and thereafter they will review my case. Process takes up to 2 weeks! Ridiculous!

bed bugs”
I thought the room was clean until I got bitten by bed bugs. Other than that the room was fine for me. Towels, shampoo, and body wash are provided. The shower is good.

Horrifyingly bad”
Horrible. The room was very filthy. The biggest issue was the air quality in the room which was likely due to mold. I coughed my entire stay due to the air quality. You really can not sleep at all because of the noise outside due to the tube being feet away. The room was also pretty small with the way it was arranged so it was very difficult to move around. The hot tap which was located inside of the room ran the entire time I stayed there and it likely is still running even now. It could not be turned off and I even tried placing a towel in the sink in order to silence it, which did not work. The day of check out, after not sleeping the entire night in that horrible room, I wanted to take a bath to feel clean again. The shower room had mold and I wanted to take a bath to feel clean again after taking a shower in the shower room if you can believe that. The bed must have been old as it was hard as a rock. I told the man in reception the day I was leaving and he literally pretended to be surprised that I was explaining why I desired a refund. The room was horrible and I even had a word with the receptionist the night of when I checked in and she literally said the place needs to be closed and this is coming from someone who works there. Will never stay there again and I wish I didn’t stay there

I arrived at the property just to be told that they don't have a room. During that night the property had three overbookings.

Bad hotel ”
The only thing this hotel is the location.. - Not very polite/friendly staff - Hotel condition is bad - Shower didn't have consistent hot water (some showers I took were quite cold) - Dust on top of bedroom closet - No shampoo/ shower gel, just a bar of soap - They didn't provide any information about parking - We arrived at around 1pm and they asked us to come back later (2.30pm) to pick up the keys - Mattresses are very uncomfortable - light blinking in the hallway (not a big issue, but such an easy fix) I booked for 5 nights, but stayed for 4.

Do not stay here ”
Do not stay here - there are better options available in the area for a similar price. We stayed in one of the basement rooms & it was absolutely foul! Smelt of damp/mould, obvious damp issues on walls & floor, mould between the shower & wall space...noisy with the underground, the light above the bed flicked constantly when off & at night we could hear a rat/mouse running around! Don't stay here!!!
