"The staff is friendly and everything is well maintained. I have no complaints about the management here. It is a very stylish design in the lobby and inside the room. My issue with this hotel is that the room is so tiny for any business traveler. There is no desk for you to comfortably put your laptop on and work on things. I had a room with a window on the second floor, which is very noisy the night as it was just next to the road. The window was not designed to isolating the noise. If you are okay with noise and tiny room, this is a good option for you. But probably not for the business traveler. Since my reservation is non-refundable, I just switched to another hotel nearby to have a good environment for sleep and work. "

"This was a great hotel for the price. It had very large and nice rooms. Much better than the Olympia which is in the same neighborhood. The hotel had a very nice view, nice clean and comfortable beds and a full bathtub which is a rarity for hotels in this price range. The breakfast was also good if simple. It is a great location only a couple of blocks from Earls Court Tube station."

"Room was clean and I had everything I needed. However, do not stay here if you find it hard to sleep if there's light or noise. I only got around 2-3 hours sleep each night that I was there due to the amount of light coming into my room through the thin curtains and I had to put a towel under the door due to the bright lights coming in from the hallway. Also, this is a ridiculously loud area and you can hear everything that everyone does in the hotel, I could hear everytime someone came up the stairs but my room wasn't near the stairs. I wore ear plugs but they were not good enough. Plus, the mattress was so hard that no position was comfortable and I spent the night lying in pain. I requested changing rooms and the rude receptionist just said no and then ignored me. I cut my trip short and stayed 2 nights instead of 4 as I could not get by in that room any longer. I will definitely not be staying here again as I could not function on the little sleep that I got. "

"The hotel is small, basic, "homey" yet functional. The lift has 4 floors but my room was 604. 4th floor landing was split between 5th and 6th floors so there will be a short flight of stairs to get to your room. Basically the 6th floor is an attic room, divided into 4 rooms, mine is Single Ensuite and I got a peek of the other rooms and they were Double. All rooms are Ensuite. Compact but spacious. My Single room is much bigger compared to my other friends Double room who were staying next door at Lord Jim Hotel. The London Town Hotel is the better choice. My friends move on our last night at London Town Hotel and their room is much more spacious, its located on the ground floor which is very convenient. Breakfast room although tiny but serves Continental breakfast with good choices and prepares bread toast for those who like. The mezzanine floor with direct access by stairs is welcoming and you can serve yourself tea, coffee or water anytime of the day. The Reception staff are very helpful, accommodating and respectful. The only negative thing I experienced was the leak on my attic window due to an overnight continuous rain, thanks to the dreadful London weather, the water dropped on the beds duvet but gladly didn't soak my bed. Supposedly you have to pay 1pound if leaving your luggage after your checkout but staff Mr Ali waived it for us and that is such a lovely gesture and they help us get the best taxi rate to Heathrow. Overall with its value for money and access to Earls Court Station and both exits on Earls Court Road and Warwick Roads are just 3minutes walk. I will come back again and will recommend to other friends. "

More about Earls Court

An affluent and densely-populated area, the heart of bustling Kensington lies in the market shops lining Kensington High Street, leading onto the large Royal Park of Kensington Gardens. Set inside the park is royal residence Kensington Palace – a residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century, with its magnificent State Rooms open to the public.

Nearby, the Royal Albert Hall has been used for over 150,000 events, including rock and classical concerts, ballroom dancing, poetry recitals, conferences, education, motor shows, ballet, opera and circus shows.

In South Kensington, a number of small boutiques are clustered close to the tube station. The adjoining Exhibition Road links the area's educational institutions and museums, which include the Science Museum, Natural History Museum and the Victoria & Albert (V&A).

The less affluent Earls Court is home to one of England’s largest indoor arenas and a popular concert venue, Earls Court Exhibition Centre. A wide selection of budget and mid-range hotels is clustered nearby. The area has a large concentration of young Australian residents, attracted by its affordability and central location. With its many Asian restaurants, Earls Court Village has become the center of the Filipino British community.

Kensington and Earls Court are well-served by numerous tube stations and buses.
