Best hotel during winter holiday”
The hotel location is very near to the station. The local japanese breakfast was very superb. The room is also very clean and the staff is very friendly. It was a good place to relax especially during winter. Opposite the hotel have seven eleven, a lotz of restaurant too. Can play the snow just behind the hotel. Everything was so amazing.

Lovely winter escape”
It started snowing in Yuzawa town during our stay, so the view of the trees and mountain from our room's big window went from green to snow white. Absolutely lovely!

Near to station ”
The ryokan is about 3 mins walk from Echigo Yuzawa station and the shuttle bus to Gala Yuzawa stops directly in front of it. The onsen is rather empty with you being alone in it most of the time. Was a little disappointed that they do not have the milk (in a glass bottle) vending machine. Everything else is good. Staff is super friendly too.

COMFORTABLE SKI RESORT HOTEL”
The hotel is just opposite the train station, very convenient. The condition of the resort is average, the staffs are helpful especially in the restaurant. The free shuttle buss bus stop is just in front of the hotel. I would suggest booked the hotel with meals during winter.

I tried to check in at 1 but was told I had to wait 2 hours. I know they were not sold out the night before so that was annoying. Also, might be my bad but when I heard outdoor bath, I pictured hot tub. The water was hot and it was awesome- partly because nobody else was there. It was not until halfway through hanging out in it on night #2 that I saw a sign telling me that underwear were not welcome. Kind of odd for me. That's all. I then checked out the indoor / public bath and yup, there were like 5 naked dudes and some kids in there. No thanks. Chilling may be one thing but they were actually bathing.

Excellent base from which to ski Naeba/Kagura”
2 minute walk from the Echigo Yuzawa shinkansen station. Bilingual accommodating staff. Wonderful meal beyond expectation. Outdoor hot springs with view of the mountains. After checkout for a full day of skiing, the hotel staff welcomed us to leave excess luggage until evening and invited us to use the hot springs free of charge when we picked up the luggage. I would return to this hotel.

Nice ryokan”
Nice ryokan experience. We didn’t use the Onsen though, but payment is a must for booking this hotel.. stayed only for a night. Nearby restaurants close early at 7am. Do consider to book the hotel dinner if food is a concern. We got our fix from convenient stores 7-eleven & Newdays. 5 mins walk from station.

Short walking distance from Echigo Yuzawa Station, Inamoto is a good hotel with nice outdoor onsen facilities. Some areas of the hotel is a bit dated and may need some renovation though.

A wonderful traditional Hotel”
A very clean and friendly hotel. Location is super convenient and is just a few mins walk from echigo yuzawa station. Breakfast and dinner was super tasty and lots of varieties. Could even wear traditional japanese outfit and roam around or sleep at the tatami. Conclusion, is a nice go hotel if you ever go Snow Ski. I will be back!

Ryokan Hotel next to Echigo Yuzawa Station”
Visited the Yuzawa Onsen during winter in the skiing season. The hotel is located just opposite the station and the bus stop with the shuttle buses to the various ski resorts like GALA Yuzawa, Yuzawa Kogen and Naeba is just in front of the hotel. The room I was given is very spacious and have a view of the station and the surrounding hills and mountains. There are two hot spring baths in the hotel. There is a small hot spring bath on the upper floors separate from the indoor baths which are on another floor. I booked with a half-board plan and both dinner and breakfast were sumptuous and beautifully presented. The rice is a signature of this region and it was really good. If you are not keen on a heavy meal, you could opt for meals at the station which are rather affordable and open till rather late. Overall, I had a enjoyable and comfortable stay at Echigo no Oyado Inamoto.

Echigo no Oyado Inamoto's location is great - directly opposite 7-11, a short 3 mins walk to the train station and also a 10 mins walk to Kugen Yuzawa. The provided breakfast and dinner were also of great quality. Definitely a 10 if you intend to see snow during winter if you're staying at Tokyo!
