Don't judge on the outside”
The outside of the hotel is a bit worn but our room (128 kingsize) is very nice and clean for this price range. Very friendly receptionist who checked us in kind and quick and helped us with coffee machine and extra shower lotion. The room was really spick and span, with nicely folded towels and great kingsize bed. Good deal for this money.

Good Value for the Price”
I had never stayed at this property before, but I was traveling to Topeka for a 4-day dog show and needed to find a cheap location close to the Expo Center that accepted pets. Econo Lodge definitely met those needs, and I will most likely be returning to this property next year during show time. Pros: * Room was clean and nice, if a bit old and worn (some of the furniture had stains, bathroom ceiling was a bit cracked, etc). * The bed was very comfortable, which was a blessing because I have a bad back and a hard bed can really ruin my week. * The A/C worked great, which was wonderful when it was 95 degrees and humid outside. * Complimentary breakfast every morning from 6-9 * Pets allowed * Non-smoking rooms available * Less than 5 minutes from Expo Center by car Cons: * The wiring could also use a bit of work, as the lamps beside the bed tended to flicker on and off every time I moved on the bed. * Hot food on breakfast bar tended to run out about halfway through breakfast (usually by 7:30 or 8:00) and once it did no one ever bothered to refill it * Juice had almost always run out already by the time I went to eat at 7:00 * Very thin walls - could hear everything my neighbors did in their rooms or out front, had to sleep with TV on to cover that up * Water seeped under the door to the room when it rained - not well sealed * WiFi connection extremely weak - my phone could not stay connected to it for more than a few minutes at a time before it went out again, so I eventually just gave up and used some of my data plan Overall, I was happy with this stay, and would recommend it for anyone needing a simple, comfortable place to stay at a cheap rate.
