A lovely place to stay”

I had stayed here before and really enjoyed it. My second visit didn't change my opinion. The rooms are done to a high standard and I have found the whole experience to be quiet and peaceful (I specifically book the basement rooms). The staff couldn't do enough for you. Very friendly reception. Breakfast is served in a wonderfully light room with fresh flowers on the table and the staff are very helpful and attentive. I love staying at The Edgar and I would most definitely stay there again.

Great location and breakfast”

We selected the small twin room as it was the lowest price and we weren’t planning on spending much time in it! Unfortunately it was at the very top (no lift!) and we both have bad knees!! It was small but had everything we needed for a two night stay. Very comfortable and clean with WiFi and usb charging points, tea and coffee etc. Lovely breakfast - very accommodating for my vegan diet!! Short stroll into the town. Parking permit was £8 and we were lucky to get a space right outside. Would definitely recommend for a short break to Bath and would stay here again.

Great location for where we needed to be in Bath ”

Friendly staff, great views and wonderful breakfast. Facilities good but stairs are difficult if not very able as my friend found but they found her a lower floor room for more money but a good deal. Didn’t manage to get WiFi to work but only there for 1 night so didn’t ask for help but sure there would be. Will definitely stay here again for longer

Lovely 2 day getaway”

We got delayed and arrived late on Thursday, Georgianna was kind enough to check in on us on our way and communication was great during our arrival. For the rest of our weekend the staff were kind and attentive, they kept our bags and got us a taxi on our last dat. The room had sweet country decor and was comfortable for our stay. Thank you for a lovely time.

Small rooms and worth it only if you get a better room.”

A rather cramped hotel but within easy walk from central bath. On the second night we moved to a top floor room giving a nice view but I had to move all our luggage up many flights of stairs to get to it - beware there is no elevator - only a problem to move the bags so some service here would have been good! The breakfast was quite nice.

Many flights of stairs to climb”

Before you confirm, check that you get a room which is not located on the top floor (4 flights of stairs) or the one below if you have heavy or lots of luggage. Unless you want that extra exercise a few times a day. Also rooms on the top floor do not have a view but have windows. It is not centrally located so again, if you have lots of luggage, you will have to consider if you want to stay here.
