I liked the hotel and the service”
Me and my sister stayed in 2 different rooms. First 3 nights in a twin room and the last 3 in a room for 4. We liked both rooms a lot. The only things we could complain about, but not really, was we heard a bit too much street sounds and the covers in the twin room, we would have like to have (I do not know what it is called) the non blanket options in them as well (got the other ones in the room for 4) since it was a bit cold during the night. The beds were really comfortable and bathrooms very fine. Everything was very clean and nothing unnecessary in the rooms. I would have liked to have a very small fridge in the rooms, since I like to keep my water cold and would have liked the option to use a fridge and that would also have given us the option to buy yogurt and keep it in the fridge. But that did not bother us a lot. There was a woman working at the hotel, she greeted us when we got there and was there every day. I did not catch her name but she is from Shri Lanka. She was extremely nice and willing to do anything for us to help in any way possible. And always smiling. We liked her a lot. The hotel is in a very good location, just 2 min walk to Paddington station and 5-6 min to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. There is an excellent restaurant across the street from the hotel that is sooooooo good. We really liked the pub next to the hotel also and the staff there. There are 2 small stores half a min from the hotel. So all in all a very nice hotel and I for one would like to stay there again. The internet connection is really really slow though.

Great location but room very small”
The Edward Hotel is in a fantastic location near to tube stations and Paddington Railway station. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel reception is clean and spacious with comfy seating area. The bedroom was clean and modern but extremely small - a really tight squeeze for two adults to move around. But you don't usually visit London to stay inside a hotel room so it was fine for a short tourist visit - would definitely recommend for a good value short break.

we liked our stay in the hotel. we had a room with 2 floors, 1 floor with 2 beds and the other with 2 additional beds-it was a perfect set-up for us. the hotel's location is superb! it was close to either the bus or the train and hyde park is within walking distance. the block is full of other hotels but edward hotel had 1 of the better lobbies. it was larger than many and was more nicely decorated with modern fittings compared to the other hotels in the area. the rooms were modern too with a coffee maker. there was no breakfast offered, though but there is a convenience store nearby and a pizza place right across the hotel.

Taylored for my needs”
I only spend one night at the Edward hotel. I needed a functional place next to Paddington station. The room was at -1 level with only a tiny window but since I arrived late and left early this did not bother me at all. Especially since the room was newly and tastefully decorated and spacious. It was perfect for my needs.

A well situated and comfortable hotel”
I spent a very pleasant weekend in the Edward Hotel. The room was not large, but then neither was the price I paid. It was spotlessly clean, and comfortably furnished, and I was treated with unfailing courtesy by the staff. This weekend was one of the hottest of the year,but the efficient air conditioning enabled me to sleep comfortably - as did the peaceful location of the hotel. I will be very to patronise this hotel again.

Charming little room in the centre of London”
the feature which beguiled me to choose edward hotel was its practical central location in london, being at walking distance from several tube stations, a core demand of any foreign tourist, and surrounded by many restaurants. the hotel adopts a simple yet mesmerizing style, externally with the old english architecture and fresh flowers, and internally with sleek furniture and well-organized, mildly-coloured bedrooms. however, i was slightly bothered by the unresponsiveness of the reception staff to my complaints regarding the maintainence of bathroom facilities; despite the fact of my 6-times persistent complaining, the staff never bothered fix the problem.

Great location but extremely small room ”
I had a good stay in Edward Hotel but the rooms was very small. The hotel staff was very nice but very strict, I had to wait exactly 2pm to check in. Very near to Paddington Station. Maximum 5mins walk. For Muslim food shouldn't be problem as so many halal restaurant near by.

Close to Hyde park and Underground/Rooms too small”
Edward Hotel's location is superb but rooms need more space. We can hardly move with our luggage. We still like this hotel though because it was nicely decorated in modern style and there was a coffee maker in the room. The lobby was beautiful. It was really close to the subway and bus stop which made it so convenient for our family. Hyde park was very close so we were able to visit more often than anticipated which made the kids very happy because there was a playground nearby. The only issue I encountered was that they do not hold your luggage for free after check-out time at 11am. They charge 5 Pounds per bag which was an issue for us since we had a lot of bags and a late flight.

Good location, near to tube station and tidy ”
Edward hotel is quite near to the paddington station, it's convenient there are many restaurants around the hotel. The room is tidy and newly re-decorated, althought it's too samll. It is a hotel suitable for couple or single traveller but not for family.

Extreme small room and toilet”
The hotel is very nice with a grand lobby. However, the room and toilet is very small but clean. Its great location to central London and only a short walk to Paddington Underground station. No wifi in room.

we stayed here for one night after arriving london, and took an early train to cornwall the next morning. i picked this hotel becoz it is only few minutes walk from the paddington station. room is small but tidy, with very clean bathroom. quite reasonable with its price

Great location, helpful staff but very small rooms”
Definately would stay here again but be prepared for a very small room. Minimal floor space so had to juggle luggages to access them. Clean with an adequate bathroom but access to the stall shower only works if you are slender (we are). Other rooms may have more space. The reason to stay here is the location and access to public transportation. The Paddington Station (close by) is quite large and has a good Starbucks with WiFi. Unfortunately the hotel does not have free WiFi so you'll have to pay extra for it if you want that convenience (we paid 8 pounds for 5 hours). Staff were helpful in assisting us to get around and we figured out the Underground our first day. Get the Oyster Pass for the underground unless a "day pass" or Travelcard will work better for your circumstances. See details on the Underground website and plan ahead as it is a great way to get around. This is in a good neighborhood and we felt safe walking around although, as always, be aware of who is around you and follow the rules for avoiding pick pockets.

No expectation budget hotel by Hyde Park”
Budget hotel with short walking distance to hyde park area. Less than 5 mins walk to Paddington station and there are many eateries around. Room is small and very basic and the staff is pretty friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a budget, clean hotel near to the station.

Very nice and modern hotel, easy transit to all of London. Some rather good dining choices nearby, no dining room here. Room was a little small, but the restroom made up for it.

London stopover ”
All good but checking out at 11 is a bit early. We were also not allowed to check in a minute before 2pm...... They charge £5 per piece of lugguage to store after you checked out. This has never happened to me anywhere before and could be a reason for not staying again. We came from a two week holiday in trinidad with lots of lugguage had a stopover at hotel Edward and paid £35 for lugguage storage!! Outrageous!!!

Great location but small rooms”
we stopped recently 7 nights 26.09.2012 till 02.10.2012. it is located not far from hyde park. we were welcomed by the benevolent personnel on arrival and even thus that we arrived early in the morning, we could enter into our number after simply short expectation. number was good and spacious on the london standards. a full situation black and white, we had a small window which looked on office building and designs are lower. we really received tasty pleasures in our number after turn-down service, but the menu of a pillow escaped us, which not so big of the offer. it is good 3-stars hotel,

Great for the value”
The ladies at the front were friendly. I also liked the location close to Paddington station and Hyde Park. There were stores and restaurants close by that stayed open till very late. Great for the value. The room was tiny and unfortunately the toilet stunk very badly. I had to close the door completely, otherwise I would smell the odor in the room.
