Very good, highly recommended ”

We had a standard double room for two nights without breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean with white linen bedding. Hot and cold shower with cable TV. Outside there is a swimming pool and access to a beach. We enjoyed the tranquil surroundings away from the busy Alona Beach area. We had a motorcycle and Alona Beach was a ten minute drive away. We will definitely go back and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone.

Nice quiet resort away from Alona”

Great little resort, great staff, nice pool, loungers & shade for reading at beach & pool. The restaurant is also good. We had a bungalow room with a king bed, fridge, kettle, safe, enclosed shower, AC, very nice room. Large wrap around deck with sliding doors into the room. Another resto down the street & a little shop/bakery for sweet items, beverages & snacks. Away from the busier Alona Beach so a trike or long walk if you want more. If you want a quiet relaxing place, this is it.

Honeymoon getaway”

Especially taking into the consideration for the price this is a great spot. It is a 100php trike ride from Alona beach and the perk of that it is quiet! They have a small private beach with hammocks, chairs and bean bags. Just be aware of low tide as that can make swimming a little hard. The perk of low tide is that you can walk along the beach to other resorts if you are tired of the food at the restaurant. The staff are all great and helpful and the poolside is nice. You can even get a massage in your room! The standard room is simple but nice and the wifi reaches the rooms. The shower is a little small and the shower curtain could be changed is the only reason for a 4 star on cleanliness but that's pretty common near the ocean.

Pros: Nice and quiet. Clean swimming pool. I had a view of the beach from my bedroom. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Mosquito repellant available. Cons: Lots of mosquitos. Beach seems to be permanently low tide. Takes 100 pesos to go to Alona Beach where everything is at if you don't want to walk about 3 kilometers due to being in a tourist area (for a tricycle).

Lovely place to stay close to Alona beach ”

Love this resort, stayed there twice now. Excellent value, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff. Close to the bars and restaurants of Alona beach. The resort will even be reopening its bar soon after renovations. Has its own stretch of lovely white beach, but not so good for swiming off due to shallow depth of the water. Good place to chill by the pool and has a pool side Jacuzzi. Love the place love the staff. Can't say more!

Great location, just a short scooter ride or tricycle away from busy Alona Beach. Very clean, spacious room. Loved the pool, especially since it was low tide so the beach wasn't great for swimming in. Very easy to organise a scooter to be dropped off and a tricycle to the sea port. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very well maintained grounds. Relaxed vibe, quiet resort.

If you are like you me you are currently spending too much time searching hotels in this area in hopes of finding that cheap, amazing, utopian, unicorn hotel. Just save yourself some time and stop here. If you want all the amenities and glamour of a 4-star hotel, then just suck it up pay $200 a night and book the Henann down the road. If you want to save a ton of money and spend your time at a peaceful, kind, and laidback hotel, you have found your spot. Alright, enough of the intro... Most of all the reviews are correct. The staff is awesome, the location is perfect, the bathrooms are not the best, the mattress is not the best, the dive shop is AWESOME, the restaurant is great, they could definitely use some updates, the pool is great, peaceful and quiet. Make sure to book all excursions through them. DO NOT book through a random person carrying a laminated brochure. Take advantage of the restaurant, they have great filipino food. Massage is a must here!

Total relaxation, great food, amazing staff”

The beach is not the greatest but we didn't mind since they have a very big pool. It was also a few minutes walk to Alona beach. The resort was very relaxing to stay at. We really felt like we are on a vacation. The food was also amazing, worth the price! The staff were the friendliest and accommodating, too!

Nice Place”

Very nice room and facility. Food is good but pricey. The beach is nice but not for swimming. There is an area near by that everyone goes. A lot of restaurants and good food. A lot of site seeing to do, nice. But if you not in to the bar scene at night then its time be with the you love. Not much to do at night. Rented a motor to get around.

The hotel is nice. Room clean, service available and performant. The team is very sympathetic and competent. A good choice for a mix of activities (diving) and rest (swimming pool), not far from Alona.

Quiet..great staff”

Just a short walk to Alona Beach where there are a lot of restaurants on the beach. Then return here for a nice quiet evening. Pool is nice. Good dive center on sight. Staff is excellent. Originally booked 3 nights and extended for another three.

Quiet, relaxing place.”

FOOD: Tastes great! They market everyday for the ingredients to make sure it is fresh and of best quality the place can offer. Their menu changes everyday, you may place your order in advance so they can prepare the dish as per request. Its a bit pricey but its worth it, the serving is usually for two :) If you are nice, they also give some freebies ;) ROOMS: Well kept, cool, basic amenities, only that the bathroom gets flooded sometimes especially that its hard to close the shower room door. location of the resort will give you alot of privacy and relaxing atmosphere away from the buzz and noise of the city. STAFFS: i appreciate their hospitality! even the owner and his family are very accommodating. keen to respond to requests and always smiling and trying their best to be of service. the security guard is strict. well, hes doing his job :) when you get in the resort, his job starts, and it ends the moment you step out of the gate---even if you havent checked out yet :)

A lovely home base to see Bohol from”

Everything was lovely and peaceful here. The hotel is wonderfully quiet, serves delicious food and the staff are truly kind and helpful. It's close to lots of good stuff to see and beaches to relax on. Our Deluxe Bungalow was fantastic; the bed was very comfortable and the room so cozy. We had a really comfortable 6 night stay. The hotel arranged a snorkel trip for us, a motorcycle, and a transfer to the harbor. Everything was reasonably priced and always organized and easy. Thanks to Henry and his staff for the terrific stay!

I stayed here TWICE”

I had a wonderful time here. I found Bohol Sea Resort listed online, read reviews, and sent an email to the resort directly (I also recommend booking with them directly). I was traveling in the Philippines and wanted to see more. Panglao Island wasn’t too difficult to find. The resort’s information and high reviews online all are correct. Mostly, I was intrigued by the SCUBA diving aspect of it. Emails I sent were answered very quickly! Neil, the manager, answered all my questions. I booked a stay. My first stay was great! Check-in was easy and courteous, the room was quaint and comfortable, and the food was DELICIOUS. Bohol Sea Resort offers SCUBA dives and courses; I chose to earn my Open Water certification as a PADI Scuba Diver. Neil, the instructor, was very patient and knowledgeable, and I went into the program with full confidence that the instruction would be sound. The staff here was also great. Very clean rooms and dining area. The swimming pool was pristine and the bar was comfortable. As stated by other reviewers, this resort is quiet. It was a perfect place to relax, learn SCUBA diving, eat great food, and meet a few new people.

We had a nice stay there. I was looking for something nice that I could book ahead of time. It was one of their less expensive rooms, which some couple might find cramped, but since I live in Asia, I am used to that. Most that stay there are divers. The beach is rocky and not swimable.

Really enjoyed the resort's tranquillity. It seems to be primarily visited by European dive groups, but should have a much broader appeal than that. The adjacent beach isn't as nice as those east of Alona, but the resort has a sandy fore-shore shaded by coconut palms, on which to catch some rays without burning to a crisp. Service is friendly with the owner/managers being very hands-on. A good alternative to bohol beach club (which is how I discovered the place).

Peace And Quiet”

a very tranquil resort. if your looking for a little peace and quiet maybe a little romance this is the resort for you. alona beach is not so far. short trike ride or why not use your legs. the walk takes 15 to 20 minutes. if you are lookinf for action then maybe this ismt the place for you. this is a sleepy resort but what i liked was away from the busy tourist spot of alona. i could recommend this resort.

Good hotel, nice people”

Hotel is located on Danao beach, some 5 mins motorcycle ride from Alona. Location is very quiet, so the hotel is the best place for couples which want to stay away from crowds and loud music. But please note that you still have to go to Alona if you want to swim, Danao beach is dried up.

It's a very nice resort”

The place is fantastic except for the pool. The water was very warm and the water pump was not working whatever the reason was, the pump must be keep running unless the pool is closed. I am disappointed at that but the frontage is really good. I will definitely stay there again.

Good dive shop. Mediocre resort. ”

This place has issues. If you are here for diving it’s mostly great. But the grounds and everything else are just wonky. The beach in front of the resort is totally filthy. Most resorts send people out to clean up the beaches every morning. Not this one, though the beach is pretty much muck to the water, during low tide. There are a ton of mosquitos at night. Half the bulbs in our room were out. The lighting in the room was otherwise way too dark. The shower didn’t drain so we had days of standing water sitting stagnant in the shower. The shower head was just a handle sitting on the ground. Check in was buried in the restaurant, so when you first enter you are pretty much wandering around some rooms still under construction wondering if the place is even staffed. There is some sort of abandoned bar between the restaurant and dive shop that doesn’t seem to serve any purpose. They could use some chairs near the pool that aren’t lounge chairs, that you can actually sit up in. Most of their issues really wouldn’t be difficult to fix, but it definitely feels like a lot of things are sorta half-assed (besides the dive shop, which is again is great).
