Key Card and Breakfast”

Everything was nice and the cleaning staff were super nice, but when we checked out, the staff wasn’t so nice when we asked if we could keep the key card as a souvenir. Also, breakfast closes at 10, but at 8 the foods already out, and it’s the same food over and over.

Beautiful hotel, convenient location”

Hotel is fairly new. Excellent location. Very close to the train station (Shimbashi - 1 stop away from Tokyo Station). Easy to find. Lots of dining options nearby. Also within walking distance to convenience stores (Family Mart, Lawson’s) and other shops. The room is tiny, but very nicely decorated, very clean and came with great amenities. Breakfast had lots of options. There’s also a coin laundry which was fairly easy to use- and you can check the status of your machine through your TV. Overall, this hotel is excellent.

Front Desk Staff Dong Woo fails badly at service”

Dongwoo failed as a service representative of the hotel, insists that he understand English when he is unable to give a simple yes/no reply. Refused for us to speak to another person or to another manager. Dongwoo Needs to address the questions of the hotel guests after understanding it properly, and not simply brush it off by calling the agoda representative to speak on his behalf instead. Agoda staff needs to be impartial mediate the issue and not simply go for the “easiest and quickest solution” too. Both Agoda and Dongwoo from Candeo Hotels have failed from a customers’ service perspective.

Great Location”

Great Hotel to stay in Shimbashi area with great convenience. Near train/subway stations, lot of restaurants & shops, right size & comfy room and Onsen facilties. The only down side was the 2 washing machines in the hotel cannot support all. Overall, we enjoy our stay in Candeo Hotels Tokyo Shimbashi.

My family like this hotel. 1 of the few hotels with onsen facility on the top floor of hotel. Room is clean and size is acceptable, considered it is in Tokyo city. Many nice and reasonable price food around hotel.

At a very convenient location. Only few minuets walk from Shinbashi station. Hotel is new and clean. The corner unit has an extra day bed which could accommodate families of 4 (2 adults and 2 small kids). Will definitely use this hotel again for the future Tokyo trip.

Room layout is good and new design”

Candeo Shimbashi has a modern onsen. The hotel is cozy, modern and easy to find. It is close to many reasonable prized restaurants and pubs. I will return to this hotel and will consider Candeo in any other Japan region.

Rooms are small but well appointed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent; very high quality food. Preparation and presentation were restaurant quality of better. Close to train station. Walking distance to Tokyo tower. Overall excellent hotel.

Enjoyed our stay”

I chose this hotel for the onsen and because my wife and I were exploring the east side of metropolitan Tokyo. I’ll start with the room - we booked a King room, the bed was a legit California King. But aside from the bed, the room is a bit small and cramped - but fair for Japan. Washroom was small, but who needs that when there’s an onsen? There’s no free late checkout and I was charged ¥2000 for an extra hour stay. It’s fair, but would be nice if it was comped. The Onsen was excellent: new and clean with good ambience and facilities. Other users were well mannered and followed the onsen rules. Definitely take advantage of this if you stay here! Quick walk to Shimbashi station, but keep in mind it’s a pretty busy and complex station. Very decent selection of restaurants in the area including some late night eats, busy hangout area with lots of young local business people. I would definitely stay here again or try other Candeo hotels.

Really closed to Shimbashi station, and lots of nice choice on food around the hotel. The facility is new and staffs are friendly. They have staff can speak Chinese. My friend tried the bath on the top floor, said really nice. Satisfied stay in the central of Tokyo.

good location with hot spring”

Good location. Lots of restaurant & drug store nearby. 5 mins walk to JR station. Easy access to elsewhere. Staff is very helpful. Nice breakfast but restaurant area is a quite small and crowded. Air con is fine with quite big size room. Hot spring is really relaxing for tourist.

excellent hotel”

Candeo hotel shinbashi is very close to shinbashi station (if you take metro, exit from karasumoriguchi). There are direct train from Haneda airport to shinbashi station without changing trains. The hotel is new, rooms are very clean. There is a big public bath on the top of the building, give me and my 7 years old son a very relax and conformable time.

Shimbashi is a good place to stay & mobile around Tokyo. It's the center of everything. There are 2 train station nearby, thousands of restaurant & some are 24h, it' s a walking distance to Ginza & Roppongi. And after too tired walking, at night you can enjoy the public bath upstairs. I really recommend this hotel. (And also a few hotel allow children stay without additional charge)

Modern hotel with rooftop onsen”

Nice, modern (and apparently quite new) hotel conveniently located a short walk from Shimbashi JR station. All affordable hotels in Japan are of the same type - the standard Japanese business hotel with the very small, prefabricated bathroom. For larger bathrooms in Japan, you need to spend a lot more money on your hotel. I have been travelling to Japan 1-3 times a year for fifteen years and the rooms and bathrooms in all of the standard Japanese business hotels almost exactly the same. As usual this one was very clean and fully functional with perhaps slightly more space in the room than I have experienced in previous Japanese business hotels. I did not eat in the hotel so I have no comment about the food. The most interesting feature of this hotel is that it has a rooftop onsen with 2 baths, one of which is open to the sky. For the onsen alone I would stay at this hotel again.

We enjoyed staying here. We stayed 5 consequtive days. We asked cleaning because our children drops food crumbs on floor. but it wasnt done most of days. But it is a well designed room. Room comfort , pillows and beds were excellent.

beautiful hotel in lively location”

The hotel is really beautiful, and spotlessly clean and only 2 stops on JR line from Tokyo central station Hotel room was cleaned daily and the breakfasts were lovely, there was the opportunity for bathing on the hotel roof top spa which unfortunately we did not manage to fit into our schedule. The bars are expensive here as the area itself did not overly appeal to us as it has a lot of seedy nightlife bars and clubs which appeal to the men in suits who work in the many global headquarters which are situation minutes walk away. On saying that it should not put anyone off as a base and its minutes walk from the station which houses both over and underground trains

Poor quality business hotel”

Poor quality business hotel. Could hear pipes with water flushing around all night for each of the 4 night there. As if that was bad enough with all the bubbling noises at 5 am the sun would come through the very cheap curtains in the room. Those were two main issues but quite huge. Otherwise the room was clean but cheap quality everything All new though. Would not come back

Great location but very tight”

Close to the train station, great location. Lots of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was the same every day (nothing great). We booked for a family of 2 adults, 1 child and found out on the day we arrived that the "free breakfast" was only for 2 people, not 3. I'd go back for location but the rooms (for the price) were extremely tight, no space for a cabinet, even. Not bad, overall, but we'll give another hotel a chance next time.
