The tatami room we stayed in is very comfortable, eventhough the bathroom are shared, it's all clean and pleasant. Common area like a small kitchen and dining room to chit chat among other visitors. :)

With kitchen and refrigerator, you can cook by yourself if you have time and wanna save money. The front desk staff really helpful. The hostel is clean and comfortable. The “Only Woman “makes relax. The place is great, across the Ueno park, you can enjoy the view from windows or just join the daily life of Japanese.

The room was clean and big enough for three people. The shared toilets and shower rooms were clean on 8/F, which was the private room floor (those on the dormitory floor weren't). I would not recommend dormitory in this hostel, but the private rooms are good options.

Minimal cost stay UENO”

This capsule hostel is good for women who are flexible enough to bend up and down not to bump your head on a lower bed and good energy to climb up and down for upper level. Quite inconvenient to lay luggage. The locker size is good for purse and handbag only. That is the way it is for capsule type.

I stayed for two nights. On the first night several girls were packing luggage for MANY hours in the dark. Perhaps they shopped too many things and were trying to organize? There were noises throughout midnight and then woke me up at around 6 am. I knew they tried to keep noises down but it’s impossible. On the second night someone snored very loudly. Other than potential noise problems I would highly recommend Centurion to budget travellers since it offers excellent facilities and gives very clear rules to everyone to keep it a pleasant and comfortable place!

Very good experience! Superb staff and location and absolutely clean place. The most amazing thing are the staff .. so so helpful and kind. I hurt myself and they gave me ice pack without even asking. Just 5-7 mins walking distance from all the major subway lines and opposite to Ueno park. Would definitely stay again! Just a suggestion: may be add more cutlery in kitchen. Though there are enough but the hostel was fully booked and other people use to cook and store the food in them. So bowl and cup were not available all time.

Superior capsule”

The superior capsule is comfortable. There are 3 shower rooms and 4 toilets. 4 counters for dressing. The hallway is wide enough to pack your luggage. Do note there is curfew and restriction of entry 2-5am. They allow free storage of baggage on the day of checkout and ¥1000 per day per bag thereafter.

Standard capsule room was ok”

Unable to book the Superior capsule. The standard capsule came smaller with 2 shower rooms, 1 toilet to be shared between 16 beds. The locker is at the other end of the corridor, meaning you’d have to go through a password door to access. The corridor and hallway is narrow so I did my packing of bags at the other end of hostel. House rules of no admittance between 2-5am. And no use of hair dryer after 12am, or you’ll have to use the only toilet in the communal to do so.

Location is good. Good room view. Walking distance on H,E, G,C metro n Kieo train to airport. Many single woman tried to fish business at night after9pm. The mess room in 7/F was smelly n crowdly. The powder room was satisfied, no waiting time for shower n toilet, the basin with a bit of hair but dry floor

Definitely recommended to travelers”

Tidy and clean place, with reasonable prices. A little bit far from the train station, it takes 8-10 min, but near by restaurants and ueno park. I would love to stay at this hostel if i travel to Tokyo again. Definitely the best choice for single female travelers.

Comfortable hostel with good facilities”

I took the Superior Bed, which seems more spacious, and easier to pack luggage. Common room on 7F is well-equipped, including filtered drinking water. You need to take off your shoes before entering the dorm, but indoor slippers were not provided FOC, so bring your own. The toilet was squeezy to enter/exit. Hostel vibe not very conducive for meeting new people, but good choice if you are looking for a restful night.

The air conditioner on 3/F was out of order, but they didn't tell us when we checked in. The room was so stuffy and smelt disgusting. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when we requested to change our beds to other floor, but they should have arranged the guests to other unaffected floors in the first place. The shower rooms and toilets weren't clean and smelt stuffy as well, not sure if it is because of the air conditioner.

Nice place but difficult to sleep”

The staff is wonderful, very clean and nice location, but people in and out all the time so it is difficult to sleep ( but my bed was in front of the door and near the bathroom), quiet just between 2:00 am and 4:00 am.

Not bad, good location”

Near Ueno station, good location. However, the carpet may need some cleaning and deodorization. The ventilation in the room is not great, thus the constant smell of someone's athlete's feet and body odor.

Very good place to stay for female solo traveller!”

Stay for 4 nights. Very clean and convenient. A lots of eateries around. The bed are big enough for 1 person and very privacy. Everyone respect each other and doesn’t make a noise. The location is about 10-15 min to JR Ueno/Okachimachi Station and Keisei Skyliner Ueno (depends on your speed). The hostel provide towel, shampoo, conditioner, face wash & dryer for you to use. Overall its really good & comfortable place for solo traveller and definately will stay here again in my next trip!

Recommended for solo female travelers”

Get the bigger capsule beds so you can have more space for your stuff within your reach. Recommended for budget solo travelers who wants peace and quiet after a long day of going around Tokyo. The common area with the coin laundry and kitchen is not on the same floor. Even in the common area, the guests don't talk loud, everything is quiet. The place is right beside the Ueno Park so the view is refreshing and lots of places to eat and shop around while on your way to the JR Ueno station, there's a subway nearby too.

Staff asked me if I had stayed during Aug, haha. Actually this time I planned a bit rush and I didn’t hesitate to book here, I know I could have some good rest here. Love their bed, clean shower room and toilet. With this price, definitely worth to stay. :)

This is my first time stay at capsule hotel. I really like this hotel because they have good facilities and friendly staff. But i think staff’s knowledge about surrounding place is not really rich. But they were really helpful. And i think it will be better if you provide full body mirror in powder room :) I think i will be back to this hotel when i have private trip to tokyo again!
