Excellent Hotel in a great location”
Great location if you are trying to stay away from the typical tourist areas in Tokyo. Was about a 10 minute walk to Shimbashi station, which allows for easy access all across Tokyo. Cool little food district by the JR station with lots of options. Hotel had good breakfast, rooms were large (for Japan) and sparkling clean. Perfect for couples, and would recommend to anyone travelling to Japan.

Enjoyable stay”
Except for the slightly inconvenient location (if you walking with your heavy luggage - 10 min walk), this place is a gem with nice ambience and in room amenities. Breakfast was simple but very nutritious and we looked forward to it the next day.

Very nice and quiet corner room ”
Standard double room is small but very nice for a solo traveller while Corner Deluxe Twin is absolutely wonderful, spacious bathroom with great shower facilities. I also love having breakfast here, the staff are very courteous and pleasant. The hotel offers wonderful premium tea from Uji from 3pm which is a nice treat. Although it's a bit further away from nearby station but it's situated in a nice and quiet neighborhood so you're able to rest comfortably.

Corner Deluxe Twin has separated bath room, and bath tab is bigger than the other type of Double room. And there are two shower heads there which are from the top and from the side. As you say, we serve 2 kinds of tea for stayer at this moment, matcha from Uji, Kyoto, and Sencha from mixed 6 famous production of Japan. Clean and relaxing tea themed hotel.”
It was a nice urban respite after a long day being out in Tokyo. Beautiful, squeaky clean, and very cute themed with tea and its culture. Breakfast was delicious too and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was small as you'd expect in Japan considering the price and it is a little bit of a walk from Shinbashi Station, but a great value for money overall.

Great urban respite with tea theme!”
It is a great spot to relax after a full day in Tokyo. It is squeaky clean, functional, and cute themed with tea and its culture. The room was small as you'd expect from Japan for the price, and a little bit of a walk from Shinbashi Station, but it is a great value for money.

Nice hotel and fantastic staff”
Enjoyed the stay, the facilities are pretty new, the room is nice and clean. Staffs are really friendly and helpful, they are pretty good at English. My wife loves the complementary matcha cookies and tea. The only thing to complain is it is a little bit far away from the station ~10 min walk - walkable but tired with luggages.

Brand new with a touch of famed Japanese Omotenashi ”
Standard Corner is ideal if you're a solo traveller while Deluxe Corner is definitely much more comfortable for 2 persons. Brand new and it takes a good 10-minute walk from Shimbashi Station without a luggage, Sushi Zanmai is within walking distance too. I actually prefer living in this neighborhood, it's pretty quiet at night time you can get better rested. Breakfast is wonderful and dining venue is brightly decorated, staff at the front reception are also very courteous and helpful. I would likely return the next time I'm in Tokyo. Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Unique lobby. Rooms a little small but not too bad. They are well appointed, well lit and comfortable. OK location a bit of a walk to the Metro. Which is only a problem when it rains. Lobby is on the 2nd floor which is a little different. Room access is only via elevator, only stairs are the fire escape. This makes the lobby access slightly troublesome. BUT, over all a really good hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Would recommend especially for younger adults.

clean hotel and friendly service”
i was in Tokyo for 3 days and i stayed at 1899 Hotel for 2 nights the hotel room was relatively big and cleanliness of it is exceptional. I especially loved the theme of the hotel. it is modern Japanese style with Green Tea inspiration. I loved the breakfast too that it provided. (Japanese home style breakfast) the only downside is the location it is 9? 10min walk to the Shimbashi station. However, it didnt matter for me too much so i would definately go back if i visit Tokyo

Nice and clean hotel”
Hotel 1899 Tokyo is a new hotel opens 2 months ago. Location is a little bit far from JR Station but still to access it. Room is in good size, very clean, staffs are very nice and helpful! Definitely will go back again!

Great atmosphere and very modern yet still authentic Japanese”
We stayed here on new years eve. Great hotel, very kind and helpfull staff, even compared to high Japanese standards. We room is equiped with all modern gadgets that makes your stay very comfi (e.g. Check out in your room via button, so no need to pass the lobby). Only thing we needed to get used to was the sink in the bedroom instead of the bathroom. But that was no biggie.

Great Value; Great Tea”
The breakfast was delicious, the staff friendly, and the emphasis on tea is a nice touch. Great design. There is no gym, nor a bar open late or on the weekends on site. The rooms were well appointed, and well ordered - small, of course, but it's Tokyo. Absolutely enjoyed our time here.

Great boutique hotel”
Nice clean boutique tea themed hotel. Really appreciate the little touches with the delicious daily matcha waffle treats. Breakfast was also great with a good variety. They really carried the tea theme of the hotel to various components of the stay. We had a great stay overall but did wish we were just a few blocks closer to Shimbashi Station.

Amazing service, very impressive”
Our stay was memorable. Staff was very friendly, the service was excellent, there is always nice little surprises, lots of free bottle of water, serve free traditional tea everyday, etc. The room size was small but very comfortable and functional. The design of the hotel is very nice too, it shows that it’s well tough. Location is a bit further away but it’s nice quite surrounding. Very recommended.

nice design with tea theme boutique hotel meticulous detail”
Everything is so nice about this hotel. The design is tasteful and zen. Very relaxing to stay there, especially there is a daily serving of Japanese green tea at the reception. Although it's not a real tea ceremony, a nice touch and feature for the foreigners to experience. Love the merchandise, tea, toiletry, cookies... We love this hotel. However, the only downside is that there is not much happening in the neighbourhood, no restaurant or shop. Need to walk at least 20 minutes to access to train and eateries. That could be a concern if you are travelling with elderly or children.

Regarding location, the nearest station is for 5 minutes by walk and the main Shimbashi station is for 10 minutes by walk from our hotel. Around Shimbashi station, there are many Japanese cuisine restaurant there, and also we are ready to introduce our recommendation by our map at the reception! Not too close to the core stations, but very close to some nice and local restaurants. We switched to another new hotel in Shinjuku afterwards, and we immediately regretted it lol. Definitely recommended.
