u don't feel like u are staying in tokyo as it is surrounded by greens, and make u feel like u are having a vacation in the park, sadly some facilities are only reserved for members but not for hotel guests.

The staff organised our luggage to be couriered to Kyoto so that we wouldn’t have to be struggling with it on the bullet train. Cost per case £12 and well worth it! Exceptional hotel and would highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting Tokyo to stay here. The extensive gardens were a welcome relief after the busy city.

Hotel Chinzanso is a great place to stay, rooms are large compared to most hotels in Tokyo, service was second to none. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable. We get a free smart phone, with unlimited data and local and international calls, used it to navigate the city the entire time, and even make a call back to the US at no charge, saved us money on getting a SIM card for our own phone. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese garden, walked through it every day on our way out. The only slight downside is it’s a little further out of town, a 10min walk to the subway station, but a lovely walk through a park. All in all, would definitely stay there again.

Lovely hotel to stay in”

Beautiful hotel with well appointed rooms. A little out of the way but managed to walk or catch bus to station. The only negative would be the extra charge to use the pool. It was 4500Yen. Not sure if this was each time or for the week. Lovely gardens in hotel grounds.

One of the best”

If you like flowers and gardens this is an excellent hotel esp in Spring and Fall. In June there are the fire flies at night. The garden is very verdant. The staff is very helpful and attentative.

Amazing Experience”

We had been to Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo on a tour in December 2017. On this tour, we walked part of the beautiful gardens, ate at one of the restaurants, and partook in a traditional tea ceremony. When we returned to Tokyo in July 2018, staying at this hotel was something that was really tempting - and I am so glad we ultimately decided to do so. The room was amazing, the room staff very thorough, and the rest of the staff immensely helpful. The gardens were amazing. When we return to Tokyo, it will be on our short list of options to stay again.

BEST HOTEL EVER”

We stayed at Hotel Chinzanso for 5 nights. We had a great time. The hotel is super clean, with all the facilities of of a super 5 star. Great sauna and spa (Pricey). Much more, all the staff are very friendly and courteous. In house restaurants are pricey.

Gorgeous 5 star hotel”

This is a beautiful hotel with top notch restaurants, a polite and typically efficient Japanese’s staff and a magnificent 16 acre garden. The room we had overlooking the garden was spacious and very comfortable. If you’d like to be pampered, you cant go wrong here. The Edobashigawa metro station is a bit of a walk , but a bus or very short taxi rise will get you there. It’s walkable too. This is an excellent 5 star hotel in a tranquil setting.

FANTASTIC HOTEL”

Everything is so perfect except for location. The area is quiet and it's very nice but only turndown is there's no public transport nearby. Besides this, everything exceeds expectation. Strongly recommend...

Grand but aging hotel with fabulous garden”

Love this place. Great for longer stays (especially if includes weekend), but not for quick business trips. Location is plus and minus: a good 15 min taxi to financial center, but when you get out there you feel away from the din and hubbub and can really relax. Huge and lovely garden. Quiet, slow pace inside. Relaxing spa. Hotel staff also lovely. And with proliferation of high end places in Tokyo now charging in the $600-900 range per night (Four Seasons, Hyatts, Peninsula, Mandarin, Shangri La, Ritz-Carlton, Capitol, the new Palace), you can often get a nice rate at the Chinzanso.

Really lovely property”

In a city that is full of 5 star hotels stuck in the 1980s/90s, this property stands out indeed, both for its rooms and gardens. Superb comfort and above and beyond service by the staff. Great value vs. other Tokyo properties as well. Check out the Soba restaurant in the gardens, a true hidden gem. Will be back for sure.

Relaxing hotel best for your last night in tokyo”

Its the cheapest 5 star hotel you can find in tokyo, unfortunately the location is terrible. I suggest just take a cab where ever in tokyo you'll be traveling from. Its best suited for your last night in tokyo as you can ask airport limo to pick you up from the hotel. It has onsen delivered from Ito daily if im not mistaken. For the price I paid I was very Satisfied ($200)

Beautiful setting, removed from the bustle”

An absolutely lovely hotel, with attentive and helpful staff. Garden is unmatched in Tokyo. A tranquil haven if you want to get away from the City each night. Trade-off: a 15-20 min cab ride ($20) to get to the financial district In the morning.

I love the hotel as the scenery surrounding the hotel is beautiful and breathtaking, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. only set back is the food served in the restaurants are pricey and there are no nearby restaurants around. we ended up spending double of what we have paid for the stay.

The hotel is located in Edogawabashi station metro. It need 400m to walk up to the hotel. Its a bit difficult but it will enjoying nice garden view along the road. Staff of the hotel is nice and friendly. There is a lot of choices of restaurant in the hotel. All of the restaurant serving nice food. Very satisfy of all the food. Hotel room is clean and all the item giving good quality. It is worth for money.

The service was exceptional. Any requests for dealt with promptly. Information that can help you navigate Tokyo was always to hand by both the concierge & reception. The atmosphere was first class & the room superb. Highly recommendable & very good value for money.

A place to rest”

The quiet and serenity of the hotel and it surrounds plus the capability, efficiency and care that the staff take care of the facility and their guests show a sense of pride in what they do. The onsen and the garden provide a sense of tranquility for anyone looking for a restful stay.

Lovely hotel”

We loved this hotel. We did have to pay for the use of the pool for the children, which is a bit annoying due to the pool cost being included in the room, so be careful with that one. Rooms were very spacious, children were sharing the beds with us and the beds are not that wide so balance required. I would imagine you could get an extra bed in the room but we were only there for two nights so we coped. There was about a 10 minute walk (max) to the subway. A few restaurants close by.
