Nice comfy rooms”

Hotel is about 8-10 mins leisurely walk from the train station, and about 15 mins walk from the airport bus stop, which was manageable for our group. Rooms are clean, comfy and spacious, bigger than most hotels in Tokyo. We had enough room to spread our big luggages and still move around comfortably.

I guess it really depends on where your meetings are taking place, but I found this hotel convenient as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the office and there were plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in the area.

I've stayed at other Hotel Montereys and this one, like the others, was good. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is not the greatest. There's a subway station in the area but it isn't that close. Same with shops - not much around. A nice hotel though.

Quite pleasant all in all”

Very tastefully and functional smallish hotel - location is opposite the huge park where the emperor resides hence lovely views onto the greenery. A bit loud as there's a very busy road between the park and the hotel but insulation works well. Rooms are beautiful done and well appointed. Staff is friendly but doesn't speak any real English but will still understand enough to arrange your airport transportation or point you to the next good restaurants. Overall, very happy with my stay and would recommend over the ubiquitous APA brand or similar.

Good location”

It is a nice hotel with very helpful staff. The hotel does not have a gym and swimming pool. The surrounding has many eateries store and there is a nice garden opposite the hotel. Walking distance to the subway

Friendly staff, great location and clean”

The hotel is located at the nice and quiet place at akasaka. I have no problem finding the hotel. It is very close to the station. There are many shop around the area and the staff is friendly. The hotel is also very clean. I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

convenient for families with decent sized rooms”

it was delightful. the location of the hotel is around 7 minutes from akasaka mitsuke station and has many attractions around it, but unfortunately there is no direct transfer from the hotel to the airport to the hotel and viseversa, we had to walk all the way to and from hotel excel tokyo to get the airport lemosine bus.

Hotel offers great facilities such as free portable wifi, free local calls and free international calls to selected countries. Friendly staff. 10 mins up hill walk from metro, so beware if guests has mobility issues

Nice hotel with excellent facilities”

A bit of an up hill walk from the nearest metro station, however it's got eateries and convenient stores located within walking distance. Rooms are decent size in Tokyo standard and hotel staff offer great assistance though they speak little English. One the of the perks is the free portable wifi machine that comes with unlimited local calls, which is really handy when you're out and about exploring Tokyo. Overall a great stay.

Very helpful staff, very clean rooms and reasonable space compared to many Tokyo mid priced hotels. The streets behind the hotel and nearby to Akasaks-Mitsuke metro station (2 great Metro lines - Ginza and Maranouchi) have an incredible variety of basic to very good restaurants and bars.

I want to stay here again why - just because they have friendly customer service, the breakfast is good and of course it was so clean even the bathroom. Across the street is a shrine and walking distance to all small restaurant and affordable. High Five for this hotel. Thanks to all the receptionist that always helping us.

Short walk up from Akasaka-Mitsuke train station”

Pros: Close to public transit, beautiful Inari Betsuin shrine right across the street to stroll through, staff really goes the extra mile to make your trip enjoyable & stress-free, the bathrooms in general put any standard American hotel bathroom to shame- full size toiletries(that smell & feel AMAZING (I'm picky), good water pressure(tub/ shower/sink drains do just that- drain), the bidet... spent a good portion of my time (on site) soaking in the tub after a long day of LOTS of walking.

Very central and facing a temple and garden so this is wonderful. Really nice and clean rooms which are a bit more spacious than the usual standard rooms in Japan. Wonderful staff and quiet environment. Elegant and suitable for business people as well as for tourists!

Quiet with all the conveniences!”

Location was wonderful. We could walk to three different subway stations and had access to what seemed like hundreds of restaurants but being across from the Imperial property we did not have the masses of humanity. We walked across the street for the airport limousine bus at Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho. And the complementary smart phone saved our direction challenged selves many times!

Great option if you’re sick of pokey Tokyo hotel rooms that are average in presentation”

Room (720) was in good condition, a good size and was very classy. Hotel foyer was also very appealing. Staff were friendly, but a bit pushy to upgrade. Cleanliness was almost perfect except for small amounts of Mould in the bathroom. The construction happening next door was immediately next to our room, but we barely heard it - it was not a pleasant view, however. Good location, but not as convenient as Nihombashi or Ginza where we also stayed in Tokyo on this trip - a little further from the city and from Haneda airport. Plenty of food options nearby, so we did not try the buffet breakfast. 450m to the JR.

A welcoming place to stay”

I returned to stay at the Monterey Akasaka after several years absence. I was pleased that it was just as welcoming as before and was a quiet escape from the bustle of Tokyo. The added bonus of the 'cellphone' help and guide (Handy- i think it was called) was wonderful. It made getting around Tokyo so stress free. GREAT addition.

Hotel that cater customer needs.”

They checked if we want to upgrade to a bigger room with a little bit extra due to we are having a toddle with us. They even prepared a small pillow for my daughter, knowing she will be sleeping with us. It's more of they take care the customer even on small thing like this. Which other hotel might have overlooked!

Despite of the hotel is a bit far from the metro station, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room is very clean and tidy. Also the view of the hotel is good. I am enjoy to stay in this hotel during my journey.

Hotel Monterey Akasaka was near perfect in every way. Location, cleanliness and extreme value for the money. My wife and I would stay here again in a second. I cannot report even close to a problem. Everything was great!
