Modern Japanese design style, comfortable beds, ver nice and helpful staff, clean, rooms well equipped the coffee from the machine in the room was one of the best american coffees I have ever had: - usually I avoid this type of drink - here not so ! Many other restaurants and a metro station close by, a Mart store among the nearest neighbors. Subway from Haneda airport takes 50 minutes on 3 different lines.

Superb hotel! Highly recommended! Great CP value. We received very warm welcome as we checked in. Spacious room (more than enough for two medium sized luggage) - which is rare in Tokyo city. The convenience-store is just 30 seconds walk downstairs. There are restaurants in the neighbourhood. Just 3-5 minutes walk to the metro station. We loved the design and style of the hotel! Very nice lobby and room interior. Clean and tidy, and smells nice! Friendly and helpful staff - who gave us good advice as to how to get to the airport.

The room was quite large, big comfy bed, great large bathroom as well, and had a decent view. The staff spoke English well enough, and it was very easy to find (although a bit of a walk from the nearest station). Nothing to complain about.

stayed over 20 different hotels this trip in tokyo. and i think this is one of my top fav few. Traditional but convenient. they have relaxing room, gym(which provides towels) overlooking a garden, reading room, vending machine (that dispense sim card etc), washer, printer/PC etc... toooo well equipped!!! love the paper-doors and overall comfort level of the room (super spacious for tokyo). definitely coming back. only downside is that it is a distance to the train station (at least it is quiet in the area at night). it will be perfect if there is public bath facility (haha).

Gorgeous hotel in bookshop district ”

The location is convenient for my industry so it’s the second time I have stayed here. I love this beautiful hotel, rooms are fairly small but so comfortable and cosy, with gorgeous design touches. You’re provided with pajamas and I could snuggle in them all day. My only issues are that the window blind behind the paper screen does not provide a good blackout, and that breakfast is crazy expensive. There are plenty of coffee shops nearby though.

I took a solo trip to Tokyo and found this place in the Lonely Planet guidebook. The staff was friendly, spoke excellent English for those travelers who need that, and were super helpful when it came to finding something or getting around. They have a list of restaurants in the area, broken down by type (ramen place, sushi place, soba, etc), and a map of how to get there. They have relaxing, full body massage chairs that are free. Their breakfast was delicious, and I also got a good meal from room service, and an in the room shiatsu massage. The room prices were fantastic. The only thing I wish they had were some more English speaking TV stations in the rooms (all they had was CNN and BBC news). I would definitely stay here again.

Room, service, location: All beyond my expectation. ”

Room is clean and even comes with a clothes and fabric disinfectant for hotel guests. Toilet bowl is high tech (like most Japanese toilets) and seat warmer is perfect for winter. There is even a retreat lounge on the third floor, with massage chair, vending machine, laundry machine. Location is superb. Many authentic restaurants, nice bakery and convenience stores within the area. It’s between suidobashi and jimbocho station. Walkable and not too far. I am very thankful to be staying in hotel niwa during the new year period where the hotel even organised mochi making session, sake tasting sessions at the lobby for hotel guests. Last but not least, front office staff are Super Super friendly and helpful in addressing our request. Thank you so much for giving us a great experience in Tokyo. Good job team!

Elegant rooms. Tasteful hotel furnishings. Washing machine, dryer, and vanding machine was available. Massage chair and fitness room are for free. Friendly and helpful stuff. I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Hotel Niwa is my preferred Tokyo hotel. A short walk from Suidobashi Station and Tokyo Dome. There is a conbini a few doors down, as well as many restaurants in the nearby area. My room was spacious for a Japanese hotel room with a nice comfortable bed. There are less expensive hotels in the area, but I would pay the extra for the experience I had there.

The room is very nice and tidy. I don't really like the bathub because it's quite old fashioned. But everything's nice except the location is a bit far from train station. But if you can walk fast it's just 7-8 mins walk.

Location, Near Tokyo Dome”

10-15 minutes walk from suidobashi station JR line take east exit, turn right and cross the street (bridge is above you), walk until you find family mart (you take right direction), continue walk straight until you find drug store and cross the street (megane super in front of you) and cross the traffic light and walk straight and you can find Niwa Hotel signboard location nearby.

Cannot fault a thing about this hotel”

I honestly cannot fault this hotel and would definitely stay here again next time I am in Tokyo. From the beginning, it is a very short walk away from the train lines (JR and toei), has a convenience store right next door if you need to run out to get a few things, and the check in staff were fantastic (originally they said our Agoda booking meant we had no choice of twin/double room even though the booking said we could choose at check in, but the manager came and approved the change for us). Moving up to the room, it was well-appointed and clean with comfortable beds. When we went to level 3 to the common area, we found a handy coin operated washing machine (with automatic washing powder dispenser inside) and dryer, along with drink/snack vending machines and 3 amazing massage chairs. WiFi also worked well throughout the hotel. So overall, I was extremely impressed with this hotel and just can't fault a thing! Well done Hotel Niwa!

All the hotels in japan are clean. But this one was really nice for the money. Great location near shopping, good restaurants, subway, etc. I recommend if you want to try a budget hotel in the city center area.

Amazing hotel”

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and when we mentioned that we were on our honeymoon they even took the time to give us a personalized card on arrival along with some sweets and some origami! The only thing that is remotely negative about this hotel is the room size, as it is a little small by North American standards, but it is definitely more than adequate compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo.

I will definitely be back at this hotel whenever i will be in Tokyo. Check in was fast. No hassle in checking out. Walking distance from train station and there is a convenient store right outside the hotel. Staffs were simply courteous.

Before i booked Hotel Niwa for 8D7N, i am still thinking to change our stay at shinjuku area. Luckily i normally loom at trip advisor advice before travel. Is a great hotel to stay at. From the hotel facilities,massage chair and washer, it proves that hotel niwa is customers oriented. We have chosen the right hotel especially after a long day shopping, u wont be surrounded by noisy environment. Staffs there speak good english and they are attentive esp a lady staff name niguchi. Would go back to hotel niwa again.

It was a very good stay at the Niwa Hotel. Quite near the Suidobashi train station, near food marts and local ramen restaurnts. Very convenient to get around. Located in a quiet, secured location with friendly, helpful staff. My family and I had an enjoyable stay here. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for your money.

Stayed in Niwa before, great hotel. The room service leaves a lot to be desired though as there's only 4 or 5 items to choose from. They have two restaurants though but thankfully, there's a convenience store located near the main entrance. The staff and rooms (as mentioned) are awesome. Taxi drivers seem to have a hard time finding the hotel though because it's a newer one and in the backstreets of the Suidobashi area.

I travel to Japan on holidays frequently because there's so many things to love about the country. I've been fortunate to experience impeccable service every time I'm there. Hotel Niwa's service was excellent. From booking restaurants to providing any information we asked. Hotel is also quite near the Metro and JR lines. Only thing that bothered me was that I found the standard room which we booked a wee bit small.
