Clean, small and compact”

Just nice for 1 person and very compact especially the small table. I wish they can have a longer checkout like 11am or 12noon because their checkout time is 10am which is a bit early.

Good Location and Services”

only one thing not good enough was the check-out time so early (10am) and the check-in time is nearly 3pm. everything is good, will recommend friends and family to stay this hotel again

Nice cozy hotel”

A surprise for me when I got in the room. It's very clean and very cozy. They make good use of every inch in the room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is not on the Main Street but it's only another 4-5 minutes walk so it's no big deal. After staying in other 4 different hotels in Tokyo and in other cities, this isn't far the best hotel I stayed in Japan. I will give them a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

A leisure or business purpose accomodation with good value for money ”

The location is excellent with close proximity to active areas of East Ikebukuro. Hotel is simple but elegant. Room is not very spacious but inclusive of all essentials (good quality of bathroom consumables) and adequate for working with computer and placing of luggage case without impeding walking inside room. The staff are very helpful and communicable in English. Last but not least, the delicious breakfast, including both Japanese and Western selections, has given me a good start of everyday.

Room size”

The twin rooms are the best bet for two persons as the space allows one to move freely in the room. The semi doubles can sleep two medium size person on the bed but there is hardly enough space for two persons to be standing to pack or unpack their luggage. The only solution is to take turns.

A good place to stay”

About 100 metres from the Higashi Ikebukuro station and a short walk to Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. The main Ikebukuro station where the major stores are located is about 800 metres away. The staff are friendly and speaks English. They have a strict 10 am check-out policy but allowed an extension of half an hour for us. They also allowed us to keep our luggage including my sister's and her husband's luggage who have checked out from another hotel while we walked around town after checking out. There is an Italian restaurant at the entrance of the lobby the serves an impressive fare of breakfast and is reasonably priced. There are convenience stores and eateries nearby but most of them are located closer to Ikebukuro station. For those who don't mind the 10 to 15 minutes walk, it is a good place to stay.

Pleasant stay”

I love that this hotel is very near Higashi-Ikebukuro Metro station and it took me no time at all to locate it. It was convenient for me as a friend was staying nearby. The room was very small and compact; so was the toilet - but that's the general expectations of Japan. Nevertheless, it was clean and comfortable. I love the self-check out kiosk - very very efficient.

Perfectly adequate and well located”

This hotel was in a great central location, within 10 minutes walk to 2 metro stations and the bustling centre of Ikebukuro. The room was small but for one person perfectly ok although I think 2 people would struggle. My only complaint, and I have seen the same thing mentioned in other reviews, is that the room lighting was very dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant next door very good for an evening meal but not very good for a western breakfast. Also quite expensive at ¥1,000. But overall, the hotel was very satisfactory and excellent value for money bearing in mind it’s locstion.

Optimal for comic lovers”

10 mins walk from station to hotel. The hotel is big compared to some others. Two luggage can be opened flat on the floor. There is a small table, and a short sofa at the window side. Suitable for small size ladies. Height below 170 cm

Size doesn't affect the enjoyment!”

When I got my room, I found that was an extremely small room for two that make me slightly disappointed. However, the room included the bath soda which is never seen in each stay in Tokyo before. The bath tub is small but I'm good with it while I'm a 1.9m tall person. Having this service with this price, I'm satisfied.

Staff can’t help to provide nonsmoking room”

I requested nonsmoking room when I made the reservation in Agoda. When I arrived, they provided a smoking room to me for 4 days and did not know my request. I requested to change another room on following nights but they can’t help. The bad smell came out through the air-conditioning everynight and it is difficult to tolerate.

We got fresh towels everyday even though we opted out of house keeping. The place is very clean and location was close to the station and easy to find and travel in and out from. I would stay again and recommend.

Great location and good value ”

It's located at the less busy area in Ikebukuro. I got here from the airport by Limousine bus. The location can be hard to fine at first, but once you navigate through the area , Ikebukuro east station is is your best friend.

Location was good, 8mins from Ikebukuro station. Room was very small, but enough for 2 people. Staff seems willing to help but they don't speak English at all. This is quite disappointing considering that most hotel staff can speak English. There was 1 night out of 5 we suddenly don't have hot water for bath. Staff said they would look into it but they never reply us that night.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay”

My room was small compared to North American standard, but reasonably well designed to access the room amenities. Also, the hotel encourages green behaviour by rewarding guests with a bottle of water if they opt for simple room cleaning or skip cleaning. Shower and bathroom facilities were compact but very functional. And buffet breakfast provided western and Japanese options, and was good.

Clean and Relaxing ”

Hotel was located 2 mins from Higashi-Ikebukuro station. The room was really clean and comfortable even though Single room! If you are looking for hotels in Ikebukuro area, I recommend you stay here :) Ikebukuro area is quite nice, there are many shopping mall and shops.

Not exactly near to the station but there's many shops and convenience stores nearby. Requested for the ladies floor, rooms were smoke free, clean and comfortable to stay in and very quiet. Amenities were wonderful. Staff responded to emails and requests very quickly. Just a side note, room cleaning starts at 10-11am so if you're still in your room, they will knock to ask you when its alright to start cleaning. Would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Japan especially solo female travelers who want a safe place to stay in.

Value for money, good location”

Easy access from Ikebukuro station, very close-by to Sunshine 60 (less than 10 minutes walk). Lots to do during the day and at night, perfect for heading back to hotel to take a break then heading out again to stroll around and visit some arcades or take in the night life of Ikebukuro. Very quiet area as well. Service is good, though I had some trouble checking in because they couldn't locate my reservation, but they were polite and friendly throughout the whole process. Room is typical Japanese-sized and impeccably clean. Would return.
