Beautiful hotel”

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so kind and polite. Check in and check out used machine but the staff will kindly assist you to do it. The location is great once you know the area. If you come from Narita, you can take the bus or rapid train to tokyo station and then take train to sinbashi station. From there you can walk around 10 minutes to the hotel using skywalk or take yurikamome train to hotel. The area around the hotel is very peaceful, but if you walk a bit to sinbashi, you will find a lot of good food. Overall ee had a pleasant stay in this hotel and will stay again when we are in tokyo

The hotel is within walking distance to 2 train stations -- Shiodome and Shimbashi. The route to these stations is covered and lined with shops and food outlets. You can walk to Conrad Hotel next door to catch the airport limousine to the airport. The front desk staff speak and understand English. The concierge Ms Chang who speaks fluent English and Mandarin, besides Japanese, was particularly helpful. She helped us book a Nikko day tour and advised us on how to and what trains to take when we ventured out on our own for sightseeing and shopping. Breakfast was very good with a wide spread of delicious food. The only inconvenience was there is no porter service and the walk to your room can be quite long, depending on your room number. However, the hotel provides guests with trolley to help them transport their luggage to their rooms. The room is clean and spacious. Vending machines for drinks, snacks and ice make it easy for guests who may need any of these items. Strongly recommend

2nd time to stay at this hotel with family. overall experience is above average. the hotel is beside conrad hotel, which can we can take the bus limousine from and to airport. this is useful as it will take about 10-15min to walk from hotel to train station. this can be quite strenuous especially if you are with kids / elderly and baggages.

2nd time to stay at this hotel with family. overall experience is above average. tried their twin room, queen room and king room. the king room layout is the best of out of these 3. they also had a foot massage machine in the room which we find it useful after a long day of walking.

Great room, breakfast, overall facilities and staff. One major problem: abysmal wifi. Unusable most of the time in the room, had to flee to the lobby often to accomplish basic web tasks. Sometimes the connectivity in the lobby was poor as well. This place has been open since 2002 or so and I've stayed here many times -- it's really time to update the routers.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean, the staff was very helpful and the location was great. The only negative was the lack of adequate fitness facility, they only had a couple of cardio machines, no weightlifting or other oprions.

In the forest of hotels in Shiodome, this one's fine”

As with many buildings in Shiodome, this one is impressively modern. Like some other Villa Fontaine properties, the rooms and hallways are on the dark side but everything works, the room was clean and quiet, and the location was very good. Since it was a bit cheaper than it's neighbors, I gave it a try and I'd stay again whenever the price is right.

Very classy and nice hotel”

I stayed in quite a few Japanese hotels and I particularly like this hotel as it is clean, classy and in a good location (near train station). I also rented a car to drive so the location was good for driving around. They also offered covered parking lots at a fee which was nice. The room size was good.

Fantastic location”

Nice room, nespresso coffee (coffee maker wasn’t working properly), beautiful property. Wonderful breakfast buffet, great service from concierge and front desk staff wonderful. Very convenient to trains.

The hotel on an "island" at night”

(1) LOCATION: At night you can't find any convenience store within 1 km around. The hotel is right on a sub-station but trust me, there is nothing sell there. No shop on ground also. Unbelievable! (2)BELL SERVICE: I booked 5 rooms and checked in quite late. When checked in I met a concierge man who quite close with an icy face. He gave us just 1 key for each room. At first mid night I have to go very far to buy meal. The front door closed when I came back. I could not access without key. The only key was inserted to electric slot to turn power on because my wife and child were staying at hotel. Fortunately there was another guess came back late so I could come in with him. The second day when we came back (quite late) 5 keys all not worked. Fortunately there is a warmly concierge woman on duty at that time. She issues 10 keys for 5 rooms as usual. (3) ROOM MAKEUP: first morning I drink a glass of complimentary instant coffee cup. When I came back the cup was not washed at all.

Excellent hotel with great location, spacious and clean room, welcoming and helpful staff. I would stay here again, hopefully next time it will be a longer stay. I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel, it's got everything!

Far from any happening places. ”

If you travel light, this hotel would be great. From the airport, there is monorail to drop you off at Hamamatsucho. From there, it is 1 stop to shiodome. The hotel is directly connected to Shiodome Station by an underground passageway. Note that if you have lots of or heavy luggages, walking from Hamamatsucho to Shiodome is no fun. They are quite generous with the room lighting. Wifi speed satisfactory. Bed comfy. 2 pillows per person...yayyy! Room actually looked smaller in pictures. There were 2 of us with 2 big suitcases and 2 small carry-ons. But still managed to move around the room without stubbing a toe. Breakfast has few choices but whatever they offered suited our tastebuds. The only drawback is location. It is farrr from anywhere. And at night, there was nothing around there. No bars. No restaurants. No people. Nothing except a solitary Family Mart which saved me twice from midnight hunger pangs....yes their room service ends at 11pm.

Booked 2 rooms. 1st room queen bed very spacious, great for 1 person. 2nd room 2 twin beds, small for 2 people but common for Japan. Rooms were modern and very clean. All toiletries you would expect from a nice hotel in Japan. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Tully's, Starbucks and Excelsior coffee shops just outside. McDonald's close if you crave Western fast food.. underground passage to Shimbashi and Shiodome stations. Enjoyed my stay there.

Always a Great Experience”

We always use this hotel for Tokyo stop-offs on on our trips to Japan. Handy to Tsukiji and Ginza, while also being very convenient to public transport. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores close by and being in a modern complex, gives a great 'value-for-money' experience. BIG improvement in the layout for Breakfast in both food and organisation - more seating and more efficient layout has made breakfast a much easier experience. Great help from the always friendly staff - strong recommendation if you don't want to be in the thick of the 'touristy' area, but conveniently on the fringe.
