We had a very good week here, the owners and staff are so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and good sized especially the bathroom wich is nice. And not to forget the restaurant because the food is really good, and the menu is large, so unfortunately we were not able to taste all of it, but that will be for next time. Boss Ralf and Jilo arranged EVERYTHING perfectly!What we need to do is just to land in Tagbilaran Airport and enjoy. 150 mims' trip from the airport made us tired, while once arriving at the residence, we felt deserved! During the days here, we pick Big Bohol tours and Sunset Boat tours, I also get the massage, all is perfect!! Although the travelling styles and hobbies differ from me and my parents, we all enjoy here. Although the internet seemed to be slow sometimes, while considering the service and the staff, We 6 persons still wanna give TOP comments to the residence. I checked the Chinese comments here that "Boss disliked chinese", it is totally nonsense. That guy may not stand for Chinese visitors, probably he only represented for noisy and boring ones, while we are not. We appreciate and respect all staffs here, and they treat us so well. You see, all my family members love them. The only pity is that the holidays are too short and we have to stay here for only three nights. If you prefer crowded party, choose Alona beach. If you wanna enjoy the quite, peaceful and domestic holidays, just choose jr residence. Finally I wanna thank Ralf, Jilo, the driver and all staffs again for everything.

Absolute Perfection in Anda, Bohol”

J&R is absolutely perfect in every sense. This place is lovingly maintained by its owners. The staff is efficient and very friendly. The restaurant was very good. This is just what the family needed to escape the big city. Wished we stayed here longer.

Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht in Anda. J&R Residence hat uns Sehr gut gefallen. Die wunderschöne Anlage wird liebevoll gepflegt. Das ganze Personal sowie die Besitzer waren ausserordentlich freundlich. Empfehlenswert um einmal richtig abzuhängen oder für ein paar romantische Tage. Tolles Restaurant mit kleiner Bar mit Blick auf's Meer. Die wenigen, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten kleinen Bungalows haben eine kleine Terrasse mit einer umwerfenden Aussicht.

The photos online do not do J & R Residence justice. The location is even more beautiful in real life. The rooms are clean, and the beach front rooms have amazing views. There is no TV, but who needs one. It is so quiet and peaceful. The outlook to the sea is very calming, especially from the pool. The restaurant serves a good variety of food. The staff, especially Michael, are friendly and extremely helpful. They arranged a tricycle for us to explore the area. The owners, Ralf and Jilo, are very accommodating. They make sure you are happy and looked after. The only down side of the resort is that it is a long way from Tagbilaran (2-2 1/2 hours), but this is what makes it so peaceful and picturesque. A van transfer is 3000php one way. See if you can share a van with other guests to cut the cost. Same goes for tours. J & R is perfect for honeymooners or couples who want to go somewhere quiet. There is a lot to do around Anda. Find a tricycle driver to take you to some interesting spots. I highly recommend J & R Residence, Anda. It is stunning.

It doesn't get any better”

Great place to chill out and relax. With only about 5 rooms it is never crowded or noisey. Very nice restaurant and good food with a very helpful staff. The beach house has a full kitchen with everything you need to cook if you decide to do so-just a tea pot though for making instant coffee. Your hosts Rolf and Jilo will be around to help with anything you may need if only for a little conversation-they are a wonderful couple and wonderful hosts. In Anda I don't think it gets any better especially for what you will pay compared to another resort down the road a bit. Don't miss a chance to stay at J & R Residence if you have the opportunity, you will leave with s smile, warm memories and new friends -thank you Rolf and Jilo

Great ocean view Looks new , great shell collection Great food resinable pricing Owners made us feel like family Staffing and service was excellent Cons Smaller resort so no big entertainment events. Stairs would challenge an older feable couple but fine for us at 65.

Amazing 3 days and 2 nights!”

My friend and I enjoyed our stay recently. Even if it's only a quick visit we did not regret staying here in J&R Residence, it was super clean. Jelo is very detailed if it comes to the cleanliness of their facilities which is good. Staff is very friendly, especially the lady in the bar (night time duty), which I forgot the name haha! They are all accommodating. FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! No need to go out and look for another restaurant, their own restaurant had one of the best chefs! Happy and satisfied stay in this place!

The owners and staff at J & R Residence were very flexible and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We chose to travel during the monsoon season and as such the weather was not the best to take advantage of the location.

Peaceful paradise ”

Perfect place to escape the crowds and enjoy natural surroundings. All you hear is the sea and beauty is all around you. Book a snorkel trip and sea turtles. A really lovely spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings or as a base to explore and be active

The best hotel I've ever stayed at”

Wow - what a place. Not only are Bohol, Anda and the surrounding areas absolutely beautiful, but the hotel is exceptional too. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and Jilo and Ralf just make you feel right at home - they are all very nice people (ask Ralf to tell you his story about the table and Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda!). I've stayed in a lot of places around the world, some good, some bad, some that claim to be good but are bad... But, until now, I had never stayed anywhere that I could not fault even if I tried. It is quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and beautiful, and I even got to see dolphins swimming alongside the ship on the sunset cruise! J&R Residence is perfect.

Wonderful hotel!!”

A great hotel with wonderful service. There are only 5 rooms here, we had the garden room which was spacious, clean and had a nice area outside. All the other rooms overlook the ocean. The views are great, its a quiet spot so ideally for relaxing and a short beach walk to Anda town

It is the best place that I've ever been!”

Everything was perfect. The staff was really kind and nice. The room was always clean. The food taste good.. Anda beach, just a minute away from our stay, was beautiful and fantastic. We did a lot of activities at J & R, such as snorkelling, kayaking and the big bohol tour, Combento caves and more. And we were completely satisfied with them all. It is recommended if you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place.

Honeymoon stay”

J&R residence was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the beach house for 3 nights for our honeymoon. The room was massive and beautiful, bathroom was fantastic and we had our own balcony with views of the water where we ate our breakfast. Menu was fantastic, short walk into town, nice and quiet, very very friendly. We enjoyed the area more than Alona beach. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Completely relaxing ”

Found this property by accident, following an internet search for accommodation in Anda, Bohol and this property certainly didn't disappoint. Stunning location and views to die for. Small boutique style hotel (only five rooms in all) with a small, but adequate pool and a bar/restaurant area with a great atmosphere. Excellent food quality, all cooked freshly to order with friendly and attentive staff. As a bonus, the owners are very "hands - on" and nothing is too much trouble for them to accommodate a superlative stay.

Perfectly placed full service resort with unspoiled beach access. ”

This resort is built on a small bluff overlooking the Bohol Sea. The owners have taken full advantage of the site by placing the guest rooms, pool and restaurant in perfect locations for ocean views, sea breeze and the right amount of sun and shade. An unspoiled white sand beach is just down the steps and provides snorkeling, kayaking and beach combing with other resort and Anda town access at low tide. The bar and restaurant was a pleasant surprise with modest prices and a wide selection of international and Filipino food, mixed drinks, beer and wine. Guests in particular should try the locally crafted items such as Fattoush salad, Filipino pumpkin soup and the Monte Cristo sandwich. They can even accommodate your own catch of the day from the many fishermen who are neighbors along the beach.

Paradise at it's best”

We stayed at this resort at the end of our seven week Philippine holiday. The attention to detail to ensure that the guests are comfortable, is superior. Jilo and Ralf make perfect hosts - it's like being part of the J & R family instead of being just a guest at a resort. We shared many a laugh with Jilo and Ralf and of course their lovely staff Ryan and Zen. We highly recommend this wonderful resort to anyone travelling in the Anda area. Should we ever return to the Philippines, J & R Residence is high on our list of places to re-visit.
