Good stay! ”
The hotel is good, clean, and quiet. It is a bit far from the main Tokyo downtown areas and is maybe 10-15 minute walk from the closest train station. There is a bus stop though 2 minutes so that's good, we took the bus from the Tokyo Shinkensan Station. You have to be a bit organized to keep your stuff in order in the room as it only has space for the mattress, table and fridge. It didn't bother us as we have backpacks but just keep in mind in case you have suitcases. There's a great izakaya around the corner and the hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood - good place to feel kind of a local!

CONVENIENCE and quiet”
This was our first time staying at this hotel and we had a great experience! The place was quiet, clean, and convenient. Since the hotel is around a neighborhood, we didn't hear a lot of noise and were able to have a good sleep. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it! :)

This is a small hotel with a stylist architectural desighin. Under the pandemick, they charge less than half the price. However even before COVID-19, they offer rooms at very low rates. Someday we will overcome the pandemick, `Kangaroo `will become your favorite !

Value for money!”
It was my second time to stay at Kangaroo Hotel Side B. I must say that the place is well maintained. The rooms, although small by our standards, are clean. The toilet and bath are also spic and span. Very easy check-in. I love the neighborhood. There are several convenient stores, restaurants, and groceries around the area. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Tokyo.

The room, although quite small, it is very clean and cozy. The shared bath and shower room are sparkling clean each cubicle has its own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner! The toilets never ran out of toilet papers and has a bidet. The staffs were very accommodating as well 💖

The place is nice and worth the value of my money. It has shared bathroom and toilet but it's clean. It's 13mins away from the train station and 20mins away from Sensoji temple.

The hotel is clean. But the room is too small 😞 but it didn’t really matter, because we only spent our time for sleeping there. The nearest station was still bit far from hotel. But there’s convenience store nearby the hotel that sell cheap and delicious food 👍🏻

Not pretty Grande but suitable for young single couple tourists ”
Stayed here for 4 nights for my first visited to Tokyo. Staff is nice and helpful. Not a big room but facilities are awesome. Independence Air-con per room so that you can tune it as you wish. A key for night crawler to come in the lobby if you’re too late to come back. Meanwhile make sure that there’s no stranger inside the hostel.

The overall experiences was good. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they responds quite fast. However, I would like to mention a few things to remind other interested travelers: 1. The prices listed here might be HIGHER than the walk-in price, even if it is indicated as discounted price 2. The front counter of this hotel opens from 930am and closes at 9pm (or 10pm). I did not have chance to meet any staff until the last day, for I have to leave early in the morning and come back late at night. 3. It takes 10-15mins walk from Minami-Senju(南千住駅), which makes it harder to meet the staff, for you have to leave earlier in the morning to reach where ever you wanted to go.

Good value for your money”
Accessible via bus (Kiyokawa Nichome Bus Stop), great location for those going to Ameyoko, Asakusa, and Akihabara. Friendly and accommodating staff we were allowed to check in earlier. Just contact the hotel if they can arrange this for you. They can also store your luggages if you arrive early before checkin time. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was small for the 3 of us, but this was expected in japan so it didn’t bother us. We wasn’t looking forward to the idea of using shared bathroom facilities but it was better than expected. The facilities were always clean and they were free to use whenever we wanted to use it. Although the pros, the hotel was very far from the station. . We didn’t really mind this walk on the way to the station. The issue was mainly at the end of the day when we would be tired from exploring and dragging our suitcases was very difficult. We had 4 suitcases between the 3 of us plus our backpacks. Also, we stayed for a week but the room was only cleaned after we left. We asked for the room to be atleast hooved after 4 days and then once it got messy we just hoovered ourselves. Although the hotel is distant from the station, it is located in a very nice area, close to the sky tree and sensoji temple.
