The food service is a downside. They only have one cook, with or without an assistant, which takes a lot of time to prepare. Also, the kitchen is not well-stocked with food...leaving you with little choices.

Relaxing ambience”

There were only 3 guests including us when we arrived in the hotel. I love that it is away from touristy spots . it has a swimming pool and beach at the back which you can view from the reataurant (you have to go down stairs to reach it). Free breakfast is ok. The owner do not talk to the guests but the staffs are nice and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and it comes with electric heating cup and 2 sticks of coffee, sugar and cream. Overall stay was good and relaxing.

Quiet and Chill kind of place”

If you prefer the quiet and chill type of place--this is it. Transfers can be arranged to and from the port/airport. They also have connections if you want to get on tours. The infinity pool and the beach side just down the property is best experienced at sunrise. Staffs are nice and accomodating. Wifi connectivity tho, is just limited to the restaurant and the front desk. But, overall experience-wise, it was nice and relaxing.

Very far but value for money”

Very far from city center & quite difficult to commute. You can’t hail a taxi in Bohol cause you need to call them for reservation. And booking a taxi in this area will charge you double. Only tricycles can hail in Bohol. However, tricycles in this area is quite scarce also. Good thing motorbikes for hire are available.. Rooms are adequate for couples or small family. Water heater is working. Toilet is automatic. The pool looks infinite & is clean which is a plus except for the small jacuzzi. Food is expensive and taste is quite ordinary. Best to eat outside before coming in. The seaview is also nice but the beach has no shoreline which is however compensated by the clean pool. Good & quite place if you just want to relax w/ family & kids.

Pros: Upon check-in friendly and helpful staff welcome us. The place is really secluded a type of exclusivity for someone wants a quiet place to enjoy morning breakfast with an ocean view and a restful sleep at night. Cons: Don't expect the facilities as similar as advertised; the place is trying to maintain its functionality. The service at the resto especially during breakfast takes a long time to serve it to you because the server is all alone taking all the blame for the slow service.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the location is far from Alona Beach so you still need to hire a tricycle to get there. Still the area was nice and really peaceful.

There were ants going to our food but it's OK. I guess there should be a mini fridge for each room. The room that we stayed in was very clean and spaceous. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. I wish to come back here with my kids.

Great location, away from the busy Alona beach”

This is advertised a Beach Resort but, it's not really recommended to swim on their beach front, it's just for viewing which is very nice during sunset. They also have a very nice swimming pool where my kids enjoyed them. Food are nice too, you can taste the freshness of the vegetables.

a good very beautiful place with good scenery. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was ok. The room was clean and ac worked , it is advertised as a beach resort you cannot get to the beach from this place. You will not be able to do it is swimming in the ocean from here. had a dog barking outside my door three times during the night. I open the door the dog was right there i yelled at it but it come right back The shower head would not allow enough water to come out so the water was very hot or cold The curtain rod in the window fell down twice during the night it was not fastened with anything the staff was very nice they apologized but that does not fix the problems

Stunning View ”

If you want to stay in a little bit secluded resort then this place is perfect. Located a little bit far from the highway but it is a beach side with an overlooking view of the sea and Tagbilaran City. Their pool is so perfect for a morning or an evening deep while enjoying the sunrise/ sunset. It is so nice to hang out in their restaurant. Great food! I like their Cabin style rooms. The only con is that their male receptionist who helped us during our check in day was not really helpful. He didn't process my booking that by the time of my check out I need to pay in front instead just automatically online. Also, he was not so pleasant when being asked about stuffs in the hotel. He should smile often and treat people fairly.

Yes a budget but...”

toilet didn't work, they couldn't fix it so I fixed it myself. shower head leaked more water than came out the spray. booked 2 beds only got 1. Was told child's breakfast was free then charged p450 after 3 days. pool was nice though

Big Dissapointment!! Sayang ang Pera Nyo..”

Sayang ang Pera nyo. Malayo ang lugar sa City especially Panglao kailangan mo pang magbayad ng 300 pesos sa motor or 600 sa kotse para makapunta ng Alona Beach, Nakakadisapoint ung beach nila (Beach na laging High tide at puro lumot at damo) Ang mga staff ndi ganun ka approachble especially ung isang staff sa bar Manyakis at pinioilit kami uminom sa Bar nila. Kaya every night nag lolock kmi at ndi na lumalabas sa room. Ung food ndi rin Ok. Mag Panglao nalang kayo if ever na maghahanap kayo ng hotel accomodation pag nag trip kayo ng Bohol. Nakakatakot jan liblib malayo sa lahat.

Excellent Hospitality ”

Without doubt La Veranda Beach Resort and restaurant is our favorite resort in Panglao, Bohol. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful (Roger, Gilbert and Bernard deserves a special thanks) they are very flexible (appreciate this!) We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respects to all the staff. Stayed at the resort last Aug 1-3, 2016 traveled with a friend.

Great Cuople Retreat”

Was pleasantly surprised by this resort once we found our way to it. Arrived at sunset at port and they do not have a lighted sign out by the main road so we had to ask a few natives along the way but finally found the correct road to turn off on. Once on the correct entrance road there is a lighted sign in front of resort that like a beacon to ship to find the resort. The covered parking was a plus to start with and front desk processed our reservation quickly and had our bags carried to our room with us in tow. Room was very spacious and clean with instant on water heater for a nice relaxing shower. Beds with foam mattress's were comfy and slept well with quiet surroundings. The free breakfast the next morning was a nice mix of choices. And it you order the Choco it is made with real raw chocolate.....MMMMM

Satisfying, Peaceful, Felt Like Home”

Very enjoyable stay, great service by hotel staff. The food was affordable and well prepared, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The location was beautiful, with gorgeous sunrise views from the pool and restaurant of the Bohol area, fishing boats and seas.

This is a small hotel far from the action food is not very good and chef not always there you will want to upgrade room for a pool view and treat your spouse right a change from the norm pool very nice

Out of the way, but really nice”

really enjoyed our stay here. the location isn't so great if you want to flag down a trike; the resort could offer to organize this to make it easier for guests to get around. that would make this place more appealing to a wide range of travelers. other than that, the pool area is beautiful, the rooms really nice for the price, and staff are very friendly. it has heaps going for it, not the least of which is the outstanding view from the restaurant balcony. it hasn't been open for long, so i'm sure it will be a good place to stay in the near future - especially if they can help organise reasonably priced transport options for guests. that would take its slightly out-of-the way location out of consideration. john at the front desk is a great character, too! full of smiles and very helpful. all in all, a really nice place for a relaxing stay, and it has the makings of a very nice resort.

There was no beach and the closest place to go swimming in the sea was Alona beach, which is 15km away from La Veranda. There is nothing to do around, no restaurants, no bars, literally in the middle of nowhere! The room was full of dust, the sheets were with holes and was stained/burned. The house needs renovation, especially the bathroom. The shower did not have hot water, only warm on maximum heat. The AC is extremely loud and will not let you sleep at night. The breakfast was not tasty and so poor that it's not enough even for a kid. Any extras of food were so pricey and the bar was more expensive compared to prices in the city. One of the evenings, we found a live mouse under our pillow that ran out after a few seconds and scared my daughter so much. Run away from this place!
