A Modern Apartment ”
A nice apartment with all the necessary amenities. The location is near to Ueno Station. Many eateries around the vicinity and there’s a 24h supermarket near to the apartment. Though Housekeeping is done every 4th day but they do change towels and clear trash.

A great sized room for a family of four (even with 4 large pieces of luggage and carry ons). The room had great amenities and facilities. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was an easy walk to the JR Ueno station and to the main Ueno station, as well as Ueno Park. Overall a great experience!

As you mentioned our hotel is nearby Ueno station and Ueno park, walking in 10min. Our hotel have different type rooms. The biggest can contain 8 people in it. Excellent apartment for friends and family”
If you are travelling in a group of family and friends that want to stay at the same room, this apartment is perfect to offer spacious room with up to 4 single beds. Location is close to the Metro station, JR station and Keisei airport railway (approximately 5 min walk) as well as lots of restaurants nearby. They provide housekeeping every 3 nights but do change the towels and rubbish bin bags daily. Provide all required amenities and also a mobile phone to be used and brought out with free local calls and cellular data. Definitely recommend it to others.

First time in Tokyo”
Hotel is perfect for a family of four - 4 comfy beds, kitchenette complete with all the accessories you would need to prepare light meals. Room is spotless and sanitary. The tub in the shower is amazing ang perfect for a soak after a tiring day of exploring the city! The staff has been very helpful from booking and assisting in early check in! Special mention to Bella at the front desk. Location is close to all restaurants, convenience stores and a 24hr grocery store. Very close to Ueno JR, Tokyo Metro and Skyliner and Ameyoko shopiing and eating destination! If you want a location that is quiet and away from the crowd this is the perfect location. Our stay in Mimaru will be remembered and we will definitely come back when we visit Tokyo again.

We wish you had asked us regarding the supermarket. It is located within 4-5 minutes of walking. We also have all sorts of area maps, restaurant and shop recommendations on the first floor right in front of the front desk. It is pleasing to know you made a good use of the kitchen. Sometimes you just want to take your time and enjoy your meal in your room with no outer disturbance. We also can provide early check-in service when we have proper room for the guest, but it will charge 5000 Japanese Yen. Once again, thank you for taking time to write us this review, and we are really glad our staff did good service for you. Great Room”
Love the room, the bunk bed was great for the kids, great room layout, it is very clean and the beds are comfy too. However it needs a bit of walk, to the crowded area with lots of restaurant. Convenient when travel to/from airport, as there is a Skyliner Express station around, but again, it is like around 10-15 min walk with luggages. Overall, it is a great accomodation just the walking distance are around 10-15 walk

As for the location, from Keisei Ueno Station to our hotel need 10-15 mins walk. But for the JR Ueno station, it needs only 5 mins if you use the Iriya exit. Spacious and clean room”
Love to stay with Mimaru, the room was clean, spacious, with big and comfortable double bed. Staffs are nice and helpful. Location was a bit far from Keisei Ueno station than expected, especially to walk with luggage.

New and Quiet”
It's not too far away from Ueno Station, but it's still a walk. There's a 7-11 right by the corner and a Family Mart further away. But it's very convenient to buy your food and walk back home to reheat everything in your own microwave and eat everything in real plates. My teenagers loved that they had their own space in the bunk beds, as each one has it's own charging port and light. Will come back here to stay.

Great place to stay”
The location is convenient, the hotel is really clean. Good to have a small kitchen and dining area especially traveling with young children. The only small negative thing I can say is that I could hear the traffic from our room and also the dryer didn’t work very well. It took many runs to dry our clothes.

Location away from hectic districts which is perfect after a very busy day of people noise flashing lights at night.. very clean great size apartment for 4 people . Close to Ueno Station which has JR line and Keisei Skyliner line plus subway to all other districts

We like the Mimaru chain for traveling as a family. The largest rooms we have found and with 2 beds futon & 2 western, it caters for all. The staff are lovely and professional. The kitchen was welcomed and we were able to heat and eat food easily. The location is a fair walk from Keisei Ueno station, and tricky to negotiate the overpasses with luggage at night after a long flight.

Of the 3 hotels we stayed in, we enjoyed Tokyo Ueno East the best. We liked the larger rooms with kitchenette. Especially, we liked the "double beds" for 4 people. Plus, it was ideal for visiting the zoo & experience sakura season. Easy check-in as well & to our surprise, they loan you a smartphone during your stay, free use!

For my past trips to Japan I only considered Airbnb as my family needs to stay in an apartment with a mini kitchen. The only issue was most apartments were quite dated while hotels were quite expensive. Thank god Mimaru apartment style hotel was launched last year. Love the location, concept and the amenities in the same building like free wifi, coin laundrette, vending machine etc. The lifts and bathroom are big considering its Japan. Staff were courteous and friendly too. Will stay here again in the future.

Positives - Freindly staffs that can understand English, quite near to Ueno station about 5 to 7 mins. walk. Negatives - Early morning railway noise (if staying at back of building) and window shade wasn't able to to block morning sunlight.

Clean and new hotel, although it was a bit of a walk from Ueno Keisei and JR stations ”
The staff were very nice and could speak several languages, English and Mandarin chief among them. The room was definitely roomy by Japan standards, which is good for families - there is also a mini dining table for late night supers and get togethers. The toilet and bathroom are separate, which makes it convenient for groups staying together. However, it is a bit of a walk and uneven paths from the closest transportation, esp if you have many bags or belongings. Overall excellent accommodation, would recommend!

Clean, comfortable and convenient”
I like the fact that the accommodation is super near to the station. Just a few minutes walk. Booked the Japanese style room and the place is pretty spacious. The place has most of the needed amenities so don't really need to bring much stuffs to go. Recommended to try this place out!

Clean room with enough space for family with kids / children. Also feel like home, as the room has kitchen, dininng table, sofa, and good toilet as well as bathroom. Good location near Ueno station, where you can find lots of food stores, shops, etc..
